최근 각 이동통신사에서 자체적인 통합 UI를 개발하여 각 단말기 제조사의 UI 통합을 시도하고 있다. 이 UI 통합의 시도는 기업의 입장에서는 기업 정체성을 높이고 타 통신사와의 차별을 갖게 할 수 있고 사용자 입장에서는 현재 사용중인 단말기를 다른 단말기 제조사 제품으로 교체할 때 서로 다른 메뉴 구성이나 버튼 방식으로 인해 겪게 되는 불편을 해소해 주는 역할을 한다. 그러나 UI를 일괄적으로 통일한다는 것은 한편으로 개인과 집단의 감성이 무시되고 특정 타겟 단말기의 특성을 잘 표현하지 못하는 악영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 여성들이 선호하는 메뉴 아이콘을 조사 분석함으로써, 여성 타겟으로 출시되는 단말기 아이콘이 일관된 UI가 아닌 여성이 선호하는 감성 아이콘이 될 수 있도록 메타포를 제안하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 서울에 사는 18~35세 여성 40명을 대상으로 이동통신사 (S 사) 표준 UI 아이콘과 제조사별 아이콘 샘플을 추출하여 여성이 선호하는 휴대폰 단말기 아이콘을 선정하고 그 아이콘에 대하여 이미지 형용사 언어를 밝혀내도록 하였다. 이렇게 조사된 여성들이 선호하는 아이콘 및 이미지 형용사는 향후 여성 타겟 단말기 개발의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

In Korea mobile phone subscribers exceeded 1 million people in 1995, and ten million people in 1998. Prevalence of the mobile phone increased dramatically over 110% compared to the population. Almost every family members including children uses more than one mobile terminal. Mobile phone is obviously more necessary good than washer, vacuum cleaner and passenger car. Our daily life are conveniently positioned with mobile communication, but communication related costs including the price of the device and service charges become a big burden on the household. But the government does not seem to do the right role at the right time to prevent the market failure to maximize consumer welfare and social welfare through supporting fair competition. This principal-agent problem issues of mobile communication policies will be understood in perspective of public choice against joint use of the mobile communication network, number portability, separation of phone distribution and phone service, network neutrality, mobile phone subsidy since the early 1990s when mobile phone service was introduced in Korea.

This study was motivated by a recent channel conflict on subsidies for mobile handset between a service provider and a handset manufacturer in the mobile communication market. In this study, we have developed a two-person non-zero sum game for the channel conflict on subsidies for mobile handset, and derived its optimal strategic game solution. As a result, we have found that, between the service operator and the handset manufacturer, one who has high level of market leadership in his own market has a power to affect the optimal strategic game solution. We have also found that, when the service operator and the handset manufacturer have relatively high level of market leadership in their own market, there exist both of potential channel conflict and cooperation. The result of this study may provide an effective reference for a solution of similar channel conflicts.

Last rapidly changing mobile handset market in many industries, as well as market conditions affect the prevalence of various content types of consumer spending in general is affecting. Changes in mobile handset market by separating the various consumer-tier analysis, or differentiated in consumers' purchasing behavior are being reflected in the property analysis and overview of customer satisfaction can be assessed by measuring. These mobile devices and the purchase of the devices to investigate the tendency to analyze and weigh the various content industries, you can see how important one can be considered. The development of mobile communication systems and wireless internet and multimedia applications can lead the industry accelerated. In this study, tried to investigate that the mobile communication systems in consideration of the special form of mobile handsets, and customer satisfaction of mobile phone handsets, and the relationship between customer loyalty. Outcome of this study, the mobile properties and the mobile handset brand, price, design and related details to be statistically significant variables were analyzed. In this study, the characteristics of future mobile handset market with a wide range of content-based guidelines for the development of the industry is expected to be able to provide.

이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 무선 단말기 사용자의 이동에 따른 접속 단절 현상이 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 끊김 없는 핸드오프와 효율적인 호 수락 제어를지원하기 위해서 사용자의 이동성 예측이 중요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 사용자의 이동성을 규칙적인 패턴과 임의적인 패턴으로 분류하고, 규칙적인 이동패턴을 예측하기 위하여 사용자의 과거 이동경로를 분석ㆍ압축하며 임의적인 이동패턴은 GPS의 정보를 이용하여 이동성을 예측한다. 이러한 예측 기법은 무선 단말기 사용자의 속도가 매우 빠르거나, 셀룰러망의 셀의 크기가 작은 경우에 보다 효율적으로 이동성을 예측할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

전기통신사업법상 이동전화사업자의 단말기보조금 지급금지 그 자체는 경쟁원리에 부합하지 않는다. 단말기 보조금의 금지를 정당화하는 유일한 근거는 그것이 갖는 비대칭적 성격이나, 그로 인하여 유효경쟁이 촉진될지는 확실치 않다. 이동전화시장에서 사업자 전환에는 요금이나 통화품질보다 이용자의 전환비용이 매우 큰 영향을 미치며, 따라서 전환비용을 낮추는 것에 초점을 맞출 필요가 있다. 그렇다면 번호이동성을 통하여 충분히 제거되지 않는 고착효과 및 전환비용을 가능한 해소하기 위해서는 지금과 같이 엄격하고도 일률적인 단말기보조금 금지는 재고할 필요가 있다. 여기서 유의할 것은 경쟁적인 보조금 지급이 후발사업자의 존속을 위태롭게 할 수 있다는 점에서 통신시장에서 어느 정도 유효경쟁체제가 자리잡은 이후에야 보조금 지급을 완전히 허용할 수 있다는 점이다. 다만, 비대칭규제의 취지는 어디까지나 이미 쏠림현상으로 고착화된 독점적 시장구조를 유효경쟁체제로 전화하는 데에 있다는 점에서 볼 때, 어느 시점에서 단말기 보조금을 허용할 것인지는 현재 또는 향후의 시장 상황에 대한 면밀한 분석을 요한다.

저궤도 위성망을 사용하는 이동통신에 대한 기존 연구는 셀 내에서의 채널 용량을 단말기의 수에 의해 결정하였지만, 통신 링크에서의 동일 셀 내의 간섭과 인접한 셀의 간섭(interference)은 단말기의 분포 및 밀집도에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 저궤도 위성망을 사용하는 이동통신 시스템의 인접 셀 영향을 고려한 단말기들의 밀집도에 따른 C/I의 변화량을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하였다.

이 논문에서는 이동통신단말기를 이용한 신용카드 및 온-라인 금융거래에 관한 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 먼저, 신용카드 회원이 신용카드사 거래승인시스템으로부터 보안코드를 이동통신단말기로 수신 받는 보안코드수신단계, 보안코드를 가맹점의 인증 단말기에 입력하는 단계, 입력된 보안코드의 일치여부를 비교하는 단계 및 최종 승인단계의 과정으로 구성된다.

ARM 프로세서는 이동 단말기의 표준으로 채택된 32 비트 범용 마이크로프로세서이다. 이동 단말기 내에서 ARM 프로세서는 실시간 운영체제 커널과 운영체제 그리고 API 로 구성되며 소형의 단말기에서 응용 프로그램을 운용하기 위해서는 ROM 에 응용 프로그램을 상주시켜 실행시켜야 한다. 이러한 ROM 상주를 위해서는 ROM 영역에 적재하기 위한 메모리 구성이 중요하다. 본 논문은 메모리 구성을 위한 메모리 이미지의 형성과 메모리의 맵을 통한 ROM 상주 프로그램의 적재 그리고 시스템 초기화를 통해서 응용 프로그램의 수행을 보장하는 방법론에 대해 분석한다.
