Symmetric Inter-Communication Scheme among Mobile Objects in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 이동 객체 간 대칭적인 상호 통신)

  • Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are special network which has purpose of usage for gathering information of certain area and observing situation. WSNs consist of small nodes with sensing event such as temperature, movement or certain objects. The sensor has the capabilities to collect data and route data back to the sink. The sensors route data either to other sensors or back to a sink in one direction. That is, traditional WSNs communicate asymmetrically. However, under the new paradigm of the Internet of Things (IoTs) or Cyber Physical system (CPS), WSNs have potential to be used as important area. So, more research is necessary to communicate with each moving objects symmetrically in WSNs. In this paper, we proposed symmetric communication scheme among mobile objects in wireless sensor network. Simulation results show that our scheme is superior th the existing ones in terms of energy consumption and transmission success ratio.

Similar Trajectory Retrieval on Road Networks using Spatio-Temporal Similarity (시공간 유사성을 이용한 도로 네트워크 상의 유사한 궤적 검색)

  • In order to analyze the behavior of moving objects, a measure for determining the similarity of trajectories needs to be defined. Although research has been conducted that retrieved similar trajectories of moving objects in Euclidean space, very little research has been conducted on moving objects in the space defined by road networks. In terms of real applications, most moving objects are located in road network space rather than in Euclidean space. In similarity measure between trajectories, however, previous methods were based on Euclidean distance and only considered spatial similarity. In this paper, we define similarity measure based on POI and TOI in road network space. With this definition, we present methods to retrieve similar trajectories using spatio-temporal similarity between trajectories. We show clustering results for similar trajectories. Experimental results show that similar trajectories searched by each method and consistency rate between each method for the searched trajectories.

TPKDB-tree : An Index Structure for Efficient Retrieval of Future Positions of Moving Objects (TPKDB 트리 : 이동 객체의 효과적인 미래 위치 검색을 위한 색인구조)

  • Recently, with the rapid development of location-based techniques, index structures to efficiently manage moving objects have been required. In this paper, we propose a new spatio-temporal index structure that supports a future position retrieval and minimizes a update cost. The proposed index structure combines an assistant index structure that directly accesses current positions of moving objects with KDB-tree that is a space partitioning access method. The internal node in our proposed index structure keeps time parameters in order to support the future position retrieval and to minimize a update cost. Moreover, we propose new update and split methods to maximize the space utilization and the search performance. We perform various experiments to show that our proposed index structure outperforms the existing index structure.

  • 최근 분산 컴퓨팅 환경은 인터넷 기반으로 규모가 확장됨에 따라 광역 객체 컴퓨팅 환경으로 변화되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 클라이언트에게 원하는 객체나 자원들의 투명성을 제공하는 메커니즘은 필수적이다. 그러나 기존의 네이밍 또는 트레이딩 서비스가 다루는 객체에 대한 객체 식별자는 이름 대 주소 그리고 속성 대 주소의 한쌍으로 이루어져 위치에 따라 객체나 자원에 대한 객체 식별자를 변경해야 하는 문제점을 갖는다. 특히, 이동 객체와 중복 객체에 대한 효과적인 위치 서비스를 제공하기 어렵다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 위치 서비스 모델을 제안한다. 이는 혼합 서비스와 위치 서비스 부분으로 서로 독립적으로 운용되며, 전자는 객체들의 식별자를 관리하며, 후자는 객체들의 식별자에 따르는 주소를 관리한다. 이러한 모텔을 기반으로 혼합 서비스의 인터페이스부분과 분산객체들의 관리를 위한 광역 통합트리의 구조 그리고 위치 서비스에서 컨택주소들의 탐색 과정을 기술하였다.

Algorithm of Generating Adaptive Background Modeling for crackdown on Illegal Parking (불법 주정차 무인 자동 단속을 위한 환경 변화에 강건한 적응적 배경영상 모델링 알고리즘)

  • The Object tracking by real-time image analysis is one of the major concerns in computer vision and its application fields. The Object detection process of real-time images must be preceded before the object tracking process. To achieve the stable object detection performance in the exterior environment, adaptive background model generation methods are needed. The adaptive background model can accept the nature's phenomena changes and adapt the system to the changes such as light or shadow movements that are caused by changes of meridian altitudes of the sun. In this paper, we propose a robust background model generation method effective in an illegal parking auto-detection application area. We also provide a evaluation method that judges whether a moving vehicle stops or not. As the first step, an initial background model is generated. Then the differences between the initial model and the input image frame is used to trace the movement of object. The moving vehicle can be easily recognized from the object tracking process. After that, the model is updated by the background information except the moving object. These steps are repeated. The experiment results show that our background model is effective and adaptable in the variable exterior environment. The results also show our model can detect objects moving slowly. This paper includes the performance evaluation results of the proposed method on the real roads.

  • In this thesis, an object tracking method based on the active feature model and the optical flow in stereo images is proposed. We acquired the translation information of object of interest and the features of object by utilizing the geometric information and depth of stereo images. Tracking performance is improved for the occlude object with this information by predicting the movement information of features of the occlude object. Rigid and non-rigid objects are experimented. From the result of experiment, the OOI can be real-time tracked from complicate back ground. Besides, we got the improved result of object tracking in any occlusion state, no matter what it is rigid or non-rigid object.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 객체가 다중 공간을 이동할 때 초기 인증 정보를 기반으로 연속적으로 인증 서비스를 제공받기 위한 방식을 제안한다. 이는 객체의 이동 경로에 설치되어 있는 스마트 카메라의 연속 추적 기능을 사용함으로써 가능하다.

  • Due to the rapid development in mobile communication technologies, the usage of mobile devices such as cell phone or PDA becomes increasingly popular. As different devices require different applications, various new services are being developed to satisfy the needs. One of the popular services under heavy demand is the Location-based Service (LBS) that exploits the spatial information of moving objects per temporal changes. In order to support LBS efficiently, it is necessary to be able to index and query well a large amount of spatio-temporal information of moving objects. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate how such location information of moving objects can be efficiently stored and indexed. In particular, we propose a novel location encoding method based on hierarchical administrative district information. Our proposal is different from conventional approaches where moving objects are often expressed as geometric points in two dimensional space, (x,y). Instead, in ours, moving objects are encoded as one dimensional points by both administrative district as well as road information. Our method is especially useful for monitoring traffic situation or tracing location of moving objects through approximate spatial queries.

On Indexing Method for Current Positions of Moving Objects (이동 객체의 현재 위치 색인 기법)

  • Location-based service is an important spatiotemporal database application area that provides the location-aware information of wireless terminals via positioning devices such as GPS. With the rapid advances of wireless communication systems, the requirement of mobile application areas including traffic, mobile commerce and supply chaining management became the center of attention for various research issues in spatiotemporal databases. In this paper we present the A-Quadtree, an efficient indexing method for answering location-based queries where the movement vector information (e.g., speed and velocity) is not presented. We implement the A-Quadtree with an index structure for object identifiers as a.Net component to apply the component to multiplatforms. We present our approach and describe the performance evaluation through various experiments. In our experiments, we compare the performance with previous approaches and show the enhanced efficiency of our method.

  • In order to overcome disadvantages of existing centralized network management systems that use simple objects, dynamic object platforms are proposed as alternative systems. So the distributed network management systems are implemented using various distributed platform such as CORBA and Java-RMI. Subsequently mobile agent-based platforms are proposed. The mobile agent-based platform can additionally provide flexibility and scalability to network management system that CORBA or Java-RMI based platforms do not support. In this paper, we address an architecture to solve the problem of the occurrence of additional traffic by using mobile agent and to save resources of network element. Our proposal in this paper is an efficient network management architecture using motile agents. And we make use of mobile agents for minimizing of traffic that can happen when mobile agents moves. Also we design agents using information architecture of TMN for efficient resource management of network element and improvement of operation performance.
