  • The congestion of railway vehicle and station shows up to 220%. Especially, transfer resistance of passenger increase rapidly by the collision of circulation. So increment of travel time, occurrence of safety accidents act as a factor that inhibits the utilization of urban railway station. In this paper, to improve traveling speed and comfort of urban rail passengers, urban transit passenger guidance system using congestion management model is proposed. The congestion management model that can mitigate a recurring/non-recurring congestion is constructed and the preliminary design of the system (middleware system, control system, guidance drive system) is carried out. Passenger Guidance System is configured by step for changing the external data into a form usable by the algorithm, step to perform the congestion management algorithm using the real-time data and historical data, step to control device based on the value that is calculated by congestion management algorithm, step to drive the device based on the information in the control system and circulation guidance devices. In the future, detail design will be performed based on the preliminary design. A prototype of the various devices according to the station structures and locations will be made. The control module of guidance device will be developed.

  • The letters and marks on the hull of vessels are marked by welding bead or steel plate to resist the corrosion environment. It has done by manual work. So, it cause deterioration of welding quality and process delay and so on. The automated welding device for draft mark has developed partially in the field of shipbuilding. But it can be used for draft mark only. And it has caused a few problems about that workablity and movablity are decreased owing to the size and weight of device. So we developed the automated welding device that can be used for most letters and marks on the hull. It designed to 3 axises mobile robot include to ratoation axis and stand alone type controller with multi GUI base on imbedded windows.

  • The development of technology to prevent environmental pollutants and reduce energy consumption has already become a very significant issue not only for the foundry industry but also for society as a whole. In this paper, we introduce a new dust collector developed for low energy consumption and high performance compared to a roof top dust collector. The roof top dust collector which is using widely in the domestic foundry plant has a low performance about the dust suction ability in spite of high energy consumption because it is installed in a high place to collect the whole dust from all processes in foundry. A dust collector away from dust sources inevitably has low energy efficiency. The development of an efficient collector for foundry is very difficult because the position of the dust source continues to change from the melting process to the pouring process. New dust collector is installed on the ladle transfer equipment such as cranes, hoists, and monorails to effectively respond to moving dust sources. The movable device, attached close to the source of dust, provides high performance even with low energy consumption. The new dust collector is expected to be an environment-friendly device that can be applied to the foundry.

The Hmong Response to State Intervention in Vietnam's Upland: A case study of a remote hamlet in North Central Vietnam (베트남 산악지역에서의 국가의 간섭과 흐몽족의 대응 - 베트남 북중부의 프론티어 마을을 사례로 -)

  • The Hmong people are one of the largest ethnic groups in Vietnam. They traditionally practice shifting cultivation for their daily subsistence. This group has a traditional governance system as well as strong clan and kinship relationships that occupy an important role in maintaining Hmong culture and livelihoods. The state's approval of the legitimate and statutory law for the Nature Reserve largely excluded local rights of access to and the use of natural resources. This study focusses on Hmong responses to the state interventions of the establishment of the Nature Reserve as well as forest land allocation. Based on Scott's contribution of Moral Economy (1976), the authors argue that local responses function as a 'risk-averter' against state intervention. Meanwhile, the intra and inter-ethnic relationships based on the 'subsistence ethic' help locals successfully mitigate state intervention. These findings help the state rethink their interventions, which have been constructed with very little respect for local differences or the desires of ethnic peoples. Furthermore, the main findings, which reveal that not only the intra-ethnic relationship but also the inter-ethnic relationship among ethnic minorities can play an important role in maintaining the Moral Economy, are expected to deepen the previous understanding on the Moral Economy, which has previously constrained its scope to the intra-ethnic relationship.
