최근 무선 통신 기술의 발전으로 다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스를 추구하고 있다. 유선 ATM망에서 제공되는 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스를 무선 ATM망에서까지 확장 지원하는 연구가 세계적으로 진행되고 있다. 무선망에서는 제한된 대역폭, 높은 비트 에러율, 이동성이라는 특수성을 고려한 실시간 데이터 서비스를 위한 방안이 필요하다. 이러한 방안으로 유선 망에서 적용되고 있는 TCRM 스케줄링 정책의 단점을 보안한 개선된 TCRM 스케줄링 정책을 무선 망에서 적용하는 방안을 제안한다.

최근 무선 환경에서의 이동 노드들간의 라우팅을 지원하는 이동 Ad-Hoc 네트워크에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이동 Ad-hoc 네트워크는 기반 시설이 존재하지 않거나 설치가 용이하지 않은 지역에서 고정된 기반망의 도움없이 이동 노드들간에 자율적으로 구성되는 망이다. 본 논문에서는 이동 Ad-Hoc 네트워크의 기술현황을 살펴보고 현재 논의되고 있는 주요 기술 이슈에 대해 알아보았다. 특히 Ad-Hoc 네트워크는 무선의 특성상 보안에 취약하므로, 보안성을 지원하기 위한 기술들을 중점으로 살펴보았다. Ad-Hoc 네트워크의 보안 기술로는 ARAN, SAR, Ariadne, SEAD 등이 있다.

본 논문에서는 켑춰를 갖는 슬랏 ALOHA 방식을 이용한 패킷 무선망의 성능을 분석하였다. 접속을 획득하기 위해서 켑춰효과를 이용하고 트래픽은 포아슨 랜덤프로세서로 가정하였을며 공간트래픽밀도는 실제적인 이동통신환경을 나타내는 puncturing 종형분포로 가정하였다. 패킷은 접속을 획득하는 헤더부분과 데이터 정보가 들어있는 데이터 부분으로 나눈다헤더부분은 공통확산부호를 갖는 DS에 의해 확산되고 데이터부분은 간섭전력과재밍에 강하고 고속의 데이터 전송시 성능향상을 기대할 수 있는 MC DS/FH에 의해 확산된다. 이동통신채널은 도심 전파의 다중경로 채널에 대한 다양한 헤이딩 환경을 제공해 주는 나카가미 페이딩 채널을 가정하였다. 동일한 지연시간에 반송주파수수를 증가시킴에 따라 높은 co널 처리 용량을 얻었으며 FH를 MC/DS/CDMA에 사용함으로서 간섭전력의 변화가 심한 환경에서 시스템의 성능을 일정하게 유지시켰다. 또한 Hard-limiting 상관수신기를 사용함으로써 페이딩이 심한 환경에서 패킷 무선망의 성능을 개선시켰다.

CDMA 무선 이동전화 서비스가 대중화됨에 따라 사업자의 무선 망 환경도 보다 넓은 지역과 시스템 용량의 확대가 절실히 요구되기 시작했으며, 우리나라의 지형적 특성과 인구 밀집도의 특수성으로 인해 최적의 무선환경을 설계하는데 있어서 많은 음영지역에 대한 대책이 필요하게 됐다. 이러한 대책으로 중계기시스템이 도입되었고 이로 인해 이동전화 통화 품질 향상을 이루어 왔다. 중계기의 이동전화 서비스 장애 유무와 상태에 대한 모니터링은 이동 통신 사업자의 공통된 관심사가 되어왔다. 이를 위해 중계기 Network 관리 기술이 도입되었으며, 이 기술은 지금까지 이동 통신의 세대별 발전 과정에 발맞추어 발전해 왔다. 향후 도입될 제4세대 이동 통신 서비스의 환경에 맞게 발전할 것이다.

We describe CHAP authentication for roaming service method of visited ISP subscriber on GPRS network. We also illustrate how visited mobile ISP subscriber can access ISP server and authenticate RADIUS in home network via Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN) on GPRS/UMTS network for wireless internet service and roaming. For this we propose the modified CHAP message format, PCO Message format at MT, and interworking message and format between GGSN and RADIUS in home ISP network for wireless internet service of mobile ISP subscriber at GPRS network in this paper. We also show authentication results when visited mobile ISP subscriber via CHAP at GPRS network accesses the RADIUS server in home ISP network.

현재 통신 시장의 패러다임이 음성 서비스 위주에서 IP 기반의 데이터 서비스 중심으로 변화하고, 개방화된 유무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하려고 함에 따라 이동 통신망과 인터넷 망을 연동하는 개방형 유무선 게이트웨이는 필수적인 사항이 되었다. 이를 위해서 UMTS 이동 통신 시스템에서는 GGSN 이라는 개방형 유무선망 연동 게이트웨이를 제공하고 있다. UMTS 이동 통신 망에서는 무선 인터페이스를 통해 전달되는 IP 패킷을 위한 GPRS 망을 정의하고 있다. UMTS GPRS 망은 패킷 스위치 기능을 하는 SGSN 과 무선망과 인터넷망간에 연동을 위한 GGSN 을 중심 축으로 하여 구성되어 있으며, 이들간은 GTP 프로토콜를 이용하여 통신을 한다. 본 논문에서는 개방형 유무선 연동 게이트웨이인 GGSN 기능 구현을 위한 프래임웍 설계 및 구현에 관한 논문이다.

초저지연성을 요구하는 5G 네트워크 환경에서 기기의 핸드오버를 능동적으로 조절하는 시스템의 중요성이 대두되고 있으며, 특히 핸드오버 시 기기의 이동성을 예측하는 것은 필수적이다. 딥러닝 모델의 일종인 생성적 적대 신경망은 두 신경망 사이의 경쟁 구도를 이용하여 두 신경망의 성능을 모두 높이는 목적으로 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 주로 데이터 생성 모델로 사용되는 생성적 적대 신경망을 이용하여 무선 네트워크 환경에서 기기의 이동성을 예측하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 이를 통해 실제 모바일 네트워크 환경에 적용되었을 경우 핸드오버 속도를 높이도록 한다.

Handoff is an important parameter for system performance and capacity analysis in CDMA cell planning. In this paper, simulation tool for analyzing the effects of soft handoff on cell planning of CDMA network is developed by studying propagation model in 1.9GHz frequency specrum, soft hadnoff algorithm given by IS-95, and several parameters for CDMA cell planning. By using the tool, soft handoff gain and effects of soft handoff on cDMA system performance and capacity are analyzed. Research results and simulation tool developed in this paper can be used for optimal CDMA cell planning for PCS and IMT-2000 in 1.9GHz frequency spectrum such as locating base station and parameter optimization.

Increasing user demand for the more bandwidths in wireless communications has motivated a new challenge to utilize the benefits of wireless ATM technology This paper focuses on how to provide IP services to a mobile user over wireless ATM networks. By enhancing the NHRP standard, several shortcomings are improved that are resulted from the naive combinations of Mobile IP over ATM and IP over wireless ATM. This paper presents a mobile location management algorithm that is referred to as the Mobile NHRP scheme. The mobile tracking procedure and the mobile locating procedure are explicitly defined in the proposed scheme. On the locating procedure, the source station may obtain the current location of the destination from NHSs(Next Hop Servers). Therefore the optimized connection can be setup directly. The total costs per move and per setup over ATM/IP overlaid networks are estimated.

As the mobile telecommunications service market grows rapidly, interconnection opportunities from the fixed network to the mobile network increase and the land-to-mobile (LM) interconnection charge becomes critical factor in competition between fixed and mobile telecommunications service providers. This paper aims to evaluate the LM interconnection charge level in Korea in comparison with those of 36 foreign countries and suggest the regression model for the LM interconnection charge. Based on the regression analysis, we found that regulation, GDP per capita, wire telephone penetration, liberalization are identified as significantly affecting factors on the LM interconnection charge level, and the level of the LM interconnection charge is comparatively low.
