A scale measuring the career decision-making styles(Harren, 1984) and career maturity(Crites, 1978) was administered to 223 university students around the capital city. The data were analyzed using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ tests, means, standard deviations, One-way MANOVAs, and Multiple Discriminant Analyses. The results of this study were as follows: 1. There was not significant difference by gender in career maturity. But there were significant differences by grade and SES in career maturity. Freshmen and Senior exhibited higher career decision-making attitude than sophomores and juniors. High-SES group showed higher career decision-making attitude and lower career independence. 2. There were significant differences by career decision-making styles in career maturity. 51.1% of our samples were rational decision-making styles, 30.0% of our samples were intuitive decision-making styles, and 18.8% of our samples were dependent decision-making styles. Undergraduate students with rational decision-making styles showed more positive career choice behavior and higher career independence than undergraduate students dependent decision-making styles.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the career awareness of Korean university students and Vietnamese university students majoring in health care and provide base data about career education. To this end, a survey was conducted on Korean university students and Vietnamese university students majoring in health care from February 1, 2020 to February 20, 2020, and the 200 copies of valid survey questionnaires were analyzed with SPSS 20.0. The study findings are as follows. First, there are significant differences in career awareness between the two countries. Second, in the verification of career awareness differences depending on the nationality, Korean university students were 'certain about their career direction' and 'had a firm will about their career' while Vietnamese university students 'put off or remained idle about their career concerns' and 'were strongly influenced by the advice from the people around them.' Based on the study findings, it was identified that a convergence career education program that reflects on cultural diversity should be opened and applied in international exchange programs so that university students can prepare for their careers effectively.

The subjects were 70 attending to K Women's College and pre-and post tests of the program were conducted to them. The results were presented: The career value clarification program had a significant effect on career determination, career involvement, career independence, and career dispositionality and in particular, was significant in reasonable type as one of career decision making variables. The results mentioned above indicate that the career value clarification program had a statistically significant effect on career maturity and career decision-making. To positively enhance career maturity and career decision-making in the subjects, the career value clarification program should encourage college women students to visit diverse institutes and organizations in their community to identify licenses and activities needed for career and be prepared for actual career. Colleges should actively invite related experts and give students opportunities to understand the definition of and values pursued in their career.

  • This study investigated the effects of urban farm program on the participants' sense of community. Three public urban farms in Seoul were selected and surveyed. The results were as follows: First, the effects of the urban farm program on the sense of community were verified by a multifaceted analysis. There were significant differences in the interaction and sense of community between urban farms with and without regular programs. Program participants showed higher level of activity, interaction and sense of community compared to non-participants. Program participation was the most important factor in the path analysis. Second, the number of participating group, residential ownership and duration were important factors in the sense of community. This implies that urban farm programs should target house owners with long duration, in particular socially disadvantaged classes such as single-family and elderly household. Third, diverse cultural programs related to the regional society gained higher satisfaction than the simple agricultural educational programs.

The study results were as follows: 1. Generally, in personality types, gender affects friendliness. Also, significant difference was shown in conscientiousness by age and practical experience. From finance point of view, significant difference was shown in neuroticism, extroversion, conscientiousness and openness, however, they did not satisfy test for equality of variances. 2. Generally, in bioethical perception, gender affects embryos right to life significantly (p <0.001) and considerable difference was appeared in intrauterine insemination by age. Significant differences were shown in embryos right to life by grade and whether students have practical experiences or not was the key factor which lead considerable difference in abortion. 3. In correlation of variances for personality types and bioethical perception, only friendliness and embryos right to life had weak correlation of 0.119. 4. In personality types affecting bioethical perception, friendlier personality had strong influence on embryos right to life. From this study, it can be concluded that bioethical perception could be affected by five personality types although they are not conclusive indicators which provide all the information.

  • This study, as a case where the environmental conflict and dispute arose between the use and the conservation as in the other protected areas in Korea, took the first step to build ecological citizenship to solve various and complicated issues in a fundamental level by providing a basic information on differentiated environmental perceptions of the locality and the visitors of Seoraksan National Park. The questionnaire survey was employed on September 6th and 7th with 150 residents of the park area and 200 visitors of Osaek-Daechungbong trail. Total number of 13 survey questions was introduced using Dunlap and Liere's NEP index. The result shows that the perception of 'balance of nature' was more dominant to the perception of 'humans over nature' and the perception to the 'limits to growth' was also somewhat positive in both groups. The differences in environmental perceptions between the groups exist; the visitor group tended to have more positive level of acceptance of NEP views. Such differences in perceptions suggest that a different normative approach should be taken to the residents of the national park with less pro-environment in their perceptions when policy making. It thus seemed possible that ecological citizenship could be realized since the younger and the higher education level are, the more pro-environment. The findings of the research may cause some concerns however, because the study has been confined as a case study with basic understanding of environmental perceptions and its differences between the interest groups. More extensive research is required to confirm if this is generalized.

  • This paper is to make a comparative study between George Sand and Na Hye-sok through their lives and works. The research found that George Sand and Na Hye-sok had similar views about the institution and social system of their age. Both women were aware of importance and necessity of education and the arts but showed a clear distinction between their beliefs in education and the arts. George Sand found that education was an indispensable part of women's lives but found that educationforwomentotheageofSandwasuseless. For this reason she continued to assert a substantial reform concerning women's education. In addition, she argued that everyone should have been given the same opportunities regardless of gender or class. Na Hye-sok, meanwhile, looked at women's education in a more realistic perspective, that is to say to make money. The two women showed remarkable differences in the view of art. This is evident from the presence of a responsibility and a sense of purpose as an artist. George Sand was imbued with a sense of purpose and clarified her own belief at the beginning of her activities as a writer. She wanted to inform the suffering of the weak through her writing and to contribute to build a Utopia where everyone could be happy to live beyond the boundaries of gender. However, Na Hye-sok did not reveal her own clear sense of purpose to her art activities. Art is not just a job - it's a vocation. Na Hye-sok was enthusiastic but didn't have a sense of purpose. She should have had a vocation and a sense of purpose. Na Hye-sok was lacking of responsibilities and obligations as a pioneer of Western painting. If there were a distinct vocation and a sense of purpose to Na Hye-sok as an artist, she would have left a trail as valuable as that of George Sand.
