Analysis of Characteristics of Question Generated in Learning Science by Presenting Method of Question Phenomena (의문 상황 제시 방법에 따라 과학 학습에서 생성된 의문의 특성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the proper methods of presenting question materials for generate of various question by comparing type, level, objectivity, manipulation of question in the presenting methods of question phenomena. I selected and showed actual objects, movies, and photographs as ways of presenting question materials, to each of which three question tasks were assigned. The generated questions by students were compared. The results showed that the question of conjectural, predictive, methodological, exploratory, verificational, qualitative, quantitative, simple-manipulative, pre-manipulative questions turned out to have significantly higher average frequencies in the cases of the presentation of photographs and movies than in the cases of the presentation of actual objects. However, the question of post-manipulative questions turned out to have significantly higher average frequencies in the cases of the presentation of actual objects than in the cases of the presentation of photographs and movies. and There were no significant differences between individual methods of question task presentation in average frequencies with respect to causal and methodological, subjective questions. Thus, we have learned from this that methods of presenting question phenomena had influence on the students' question. This suggests that we should consider forms of presentation of question materials in planning the teaching-learning of question.

Types of Scientific Questions Generated in Observational Activity by Elementary Students and Preservice Teachers (초등학생들과 초등예비교사들이 관찰활동에서 생성한 과학적 의문의 유형)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify and compare the types of scientific questions which were generated by elementary students and preservice teachers on the tasks of scientific observation. To identify the types of scientific questions, 4 observing tasks, dry grapes contained in soda pop, candlelight, celery, and a rock were administered to 40 sixth elementary students and 20 elementary preservice teachers. And then, the types and frequency of scientific questions generated by them were compared. The results showed that the types of scientific questions were classified into conjectural questions, causal questions, predictive questions, methodical questions and applicative questions. Further more, subordinate questions to the above questions were classified into object exploration questions and object verification questions, explicans exploration questions and explicans verification questions, result exploration questions and result verification questions, example exploration questions and example verification questions. Subordinate questions did not come out from the methodical questions. The types of scientific questions generated by elementary students and preservice teachers were identical, however, there were differences in frequency. This study supports that elementary students also have cognitive capability to generate various scientific questions. The results of this study may be used as a teaching strategy for the guidance of the direction and the method of scientific inquiry.

  • 최근 들어 비즈니스 환경이 모바일과 클라우드 화 되고 있으며, 그에 따른 보안기술은 핵심적인 이슈로 손꼽히고 있다. 모바일 디바이스의 개인과 기업 활용도가 높아지면서 이로 인한 정보 유출 위험성이 심각한 문제로 제기되고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 다양한 보안정책이나 가이드가 제시되고 있지만, 모바일 보안에 대하여 명확한 규정이나 솔루션이 없었기 때문에, 보안담당자와 IT기획담당자들은 그 필요성과 적용 방법에 대하여 의문을 가지고 있는 것이 현실이다. 2011년부터 국내 개발사들이 MDM제품을 출시하면서 국내 모바일 업무 환경에 대한 본격적인 보안 해법들이 제시되고 있다. 본 고에서는 모바일 업무 환경에서의 보안에 대한 올바른 이해와 실제적인 적용 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 모바일, 클라우드, BYOD 등 새로운 IT 환경으로의 변화로 인해 기존의 정보보호 접근방법의 효과성에 대해 의문이 대두되고 있다. 침입차단시스템, 안티 바이러스 등 알려진 침입패턴에 근거한 기술적 대책 중심의 접근방법으로는 복잡하고 지능화되어가는 최근의 공격에 효과적으로 대응하기에는 태생적 한계를 가지고 있다. 또한 가중되는 보안대책으로 인해 창의적인 업무 수행을 방해하고 사용자의 자율성을 감소시키는 부작용도 초래하고 있다. 따라서 새로운 환경변화에 효과적으로 대처하고 지속가능한 정보보호관리 프로그램을 수립하기 위해서는 새로운 패러다임의 도입이 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 가트너에서 제시한 일련의 혁신적인 정보보호 접근방법을 소개함으로써 새로운 패러다임을 제시하고 이에 기반한 새로운 정보보호관리 프로그램 구성요소와 이의 구현을 위한 로드맵을 제시한다.

ERF Components Patterns of Causal Question Generation during Observation of Biological Phenomena : A MEG Study (생명현상 관찰에서 나타나는 인과적 의문 생성의 ERF 특성 : MEG 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis ERF components patterns of causal questions generated during the observation of biological phenomenon. First, the system that shows pictures causing causal questions based on biological phenomenon (evoked picture system) was developed in a way of cognitive psychology. The ERF patterns of causal questions based on time-series brain processing was observed using MEG. The evoked picture system was developed by R&D method consisting of scientific education experts and researchers. Tasks were classified into animal (A), microbe (M), and plant (P) tasks according to biological species and into interaction (I), all (A), and part (P) based on the interaction between different species. According to the collaboration with MEG team in the hospital of Seoul National University, the paradigm of MEG task was developed. MEG data about the generation of scientific questions in 5 female graduate student were collected. For examining the unique characteristic of causal question, MEG ERF components were analyzed. As a result, total 100 pictures were produced by evoked picture and 4 ERF components, M1(100~130ms), M2(220~280ms), M3(320~390ms), M4(460~520ms). The present study could guide personalized teaching-learning method through the application and development of scientific question learning program.

  • 질의 응답 시스템이 정확한 정답을 제시하기 위해서는 사용자가 요구하는 정답의 유형을 결정할 필요가 있다. 질의분석의 일반적인 접근법으로는 의문사 정보, 규칙 그리고 통계 정보에 기반한 방법들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 술어정보를 이용한 질의분석을 제안한다. 먼저 의문사 정보를 이용하여 상위정답유형을 결정하고 질의문의 술어 정보와 구문 구조 정보를 이용하여 초점단어(focus word)를 추출한다. 초점단어란 정답유형을 결정하는데 단서가 되는 단어로써, 추출된 초점단어에 의해 75개의 하위정답유형 중 하나가 결정된다. 실험에 앞서 정답 유형별로 6개의 상위범주와 75개의 하위범주를 정의하였으며, 실험에는 학습 데이터의 일부와 일반 Web에서 수집한 테스트 데이터가 사용되었다. 실험결과 상위범주는 97.6%, 하위범주는 77.8%의 정확도를 보였으며 초점단어는 92.5%의 정확도를 보였다.

What is the Optimal Treatment for Kienböck's Disease? (Kienböck 질환의 적정 치료는 무엇인가?)

  • Kienböck's disease is known as avascular necrosis of the lunar bone, but its natural course or optimal treatment in various stages has not been identified clearly. The textbook divides the progression of the disease and suggests treatment methods according to the stages, but it is unclear if conforming to the principle without sufficient verification is the correct treatment method. While diagnosing and treating many Kienböck's diseases, the author has had many questions regarding the treatment choices described in the textbook and tried to establish an optimal treatment based on data evidence and experience. This review presents the most appropriate and reasonable treatment method while questioning whether the previous knowledge is based on an accurate basis.

A Grounded Theory on the Process of Generating Hypothesis-Knowledge about Scientific Episodes (과학적 가설 지식의 생성 과정에 대한 바탕이론)

  • Hypothesis is defined as a proposition intended as a possible explanation for an observed phenomenon. The purpose of this study was to generate a grounded theory on the process of undergraduate students' generating hypothesis-knowledge about scientific episodes. Three hypothesis-generating tasks were administered to four college students majored in science education. The present study showed that college students represented five types of intermediate knowledge in the process of hypothesis generation, such as question situation, hypothetical explicans, experienced situation, causal explicans, and final hypothetical knowledge. Furthermore, students used six types of thinking methods, such as searching knowledges, comparing a question situation and an experienced situation, borrowing explicans, combining explicans, selecting an explican, and confirming explicans. In addition, hypothesis-generating process involves inductive and deductive reasoning as well as abductive reasoning. This study also discusses the implications of these findings for teaching and evaluating in science education.

  • This thesis is research about the development and application of the panorama image in contemporary artwork, focusing on sculpture and installation. The samples of artworks are a selection of representatives from numerous examples of works that cannot be introduced without exceeding a reasonable scope of the thesis. A brief outline of the historical concepts of the perspective will describe the development of the panorama in itself. Some technical explanations and the practical use of the panorama with its link to 3-dimensional applications should bridge the explanation gap between the 2nd and 3rd dimensional usage of the panorama in contemporary artwork. Furthermore, some philosophical statements are proposed in the discussion. One of the main interests and initial motivation of this study was my personal believe that there is always a relationship between social philosophical values and the way a society sees or encounters visual structures. In other words the contemporary understanding of space and perspective is mirroring the actual zeitgeist and creates an exemplary visual aesthetics.

  • U-Services(Ubiquitous Services)는 최근 성공적인 U-City의 구축에 있어서 핵심적인 요소로 주 목 받고 있다. U-City라는 개념은 현재 한 도시의 통신과 인프라의 통합 관리라는 차원에서 주로 접근되고 있는 실정이나, 궁극적으로는 한 도시의 사용자들인 시민들에게 어떠한 가치를 돌려주고, 이를 어떻게 지속 할 수 있을지에 대한 의문이 지속적으로 제기되고 있다. 도시의 사용자인 시민과 입주기관들에게 어떠한 '가치'를 제공할 수 있는지에 대하여 고민하는 과정으로써, 본 연구 에서는 소요 기술, 활용 인터페이스, 구현되는 공간, 그리고 제공하는 컨텐츠에 따라 정의할 수 있는 방법론을 제시한다. 또한, 제조업에서 주로 활용되던 QFD(Quality Function Deployment - 하나의 제품을 개발하는 과정에서 요구되는 기능이나 속성을 규정하기 위한 Analytic Hierarchy Process framework)를 도시 설계로 적용하여 SVD (Service-Value Deployment method)라는 방법론으로 제시하고 있다.
