창의력과 유동성지능 결정성지능의 관계 -과학고와 일반고 학생들의 TTCT, RAPM, WAIS 검사결과를 중심으로-

  • 창의력 검사와 지능 검사와의 상관이 높게 나타남에 따라 창의력 검사가 지능 검사와 차별화된 능력을 측정하고 있는 지에 의문이 생겨났다. 본 연구에서는 유동성 지능과 결정성 지능을 측정하고, 이들과 창의력 검사와의 상관 관계를 조사함으로써 두 검사 사이에서 나타나는 상관관계의 원인을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 창의력 검사로 널리 이용되는 Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT)의 도형과 언어검사, 유동성지능을 측정하는데 대표적으로 이용되는 Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices (RAPM), 유동성지능과 결정성지능 모두를 측정하는 Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)을 과학고와 일반고 50명의 학생들을 대상으로 실시하였다. 실험결과 TTCT 도형과 언어 검사 모두 RAPM과의 상관은 유의미하지 않았으나 WAIS와의 상관은 유의미했다. WAIS 지능점수에 따라 학생들을 두 개의 그룹으로 구분했을 때 지능이 높은 그룹에서는 TTCT와 RAPM, WAIS의 상관결과가 모두 유의미하지 않았다. 지능이 낮은 그룹에서는 TTCT와 RAPM과의 상관은 유의미하지 않았으나 TTCT 도형 검사와 WAIS와의 상관은 유의미했다. TTCT와 WAIS 11개 소검사간의 상관 상관을 알아보았다. 분석결과 유동성지능을 잘 대표하는 소검사인 토막짜기, 모양맞추기, 숫자외우기는 TTCT 도형과 언어 검사 모두에서 유의미한 상관을 보이지 않았으며, 결정성지능을 잘 대표하는 소검사인 기본지식문제는 TTCT 도형과 언어 검사 모두에서 유의미한 상관을 보였다. WAIS 11개 소검사를 독립변인으로 하고 TTCT 전체 점수를 종속변인으로 하여 회귀분석을 한 결과 TTCT 도형과 언어 검사 모두 WAIS 소검사중의 기본지식문제가 TTCT 전체점수에 가장 높은 영향력을 미쳤다. 지능이 높은 그룹과 낮은 그룹에 대해 WAIS 11개 소검사와 TTCT 전체점수와의 상관을 구한 결과, 지능이 높은 그룹에서는 유의미한 상관을 의미는 소검사가 거의 없었던 것과는 달리, 지능이 낮은 그룹에서는 결정성지능을 대표하는 소 검사와 TTCT 도형검사 점수간의 상관이 유의미하게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통해 TTCT는 도형과 언어 검사 모두 유동성지능 보다는 결정성지능과 상관이 있음을 알 수 있는데, 이는 창의력 검사가 문제 해결 상황에 기존의 지식을 이용하는 능력을 측정하고 있기 때문으로 추정된다. 또한 지능이 낮은 그룹에서 높은 그룹에 비해 창의력 검사와 지능 검사 사이의 상관의 정도가 높았는데, 이는 일정 수준까지는 창의적 능력이 결정성 지능에 의해 제한을 받으나 일정 수준 이상의 결정성 지능을 갖게 되면 더 이상 결정성 지능이 창의적 능력을 제한하지 않기 때문인 것으로 해석된다.

Strategies of Storytelling Based Teaching of English Speaking for Novice High Learners (초급 상 수준을 위한 스토리텔링 중심의 영어 말하기 교수 전략)

  • This study suggests one of English teaching methods to improve English speaking proficiency for adult English learners. Contrary to the traditional English conversation teaching trends such as memorization of specific patterns or grammar-focused practices, the study introduces a storytelling based teaching of English speaking. To theoretically support the storytelling based English speaking teaching, the study investigates the possibility of the teaching method in three ways. First, the 12 speaking strategies focusing on contents of a story are introduced in the way of securing speech amounts as much as possible. Next, the five rhetoric components by Aristotle are introduced to relate to the storytelling teaching for the purpose of achieving the goal of speaking, which is to deliver what a speaker want to say more persuasively. Finally, through the investigation of the learner strategy uses, the possibility of storytelling English speaking teaching can be expected regardless of learners' low level of English proficiency.

An Intensive Interview Study on the Process of Scientists' Science Knowledge Generation (과학자의 과학지식 생성 과정에 대한 심층 면담 요구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the process of scientists' science knowledge generation by employing four creative scientists as participants. Raw protocols were collected by an intensive interview method and then analyzed by a psychological modelling procedure. The present study showed that the process of knowledge generation divided into the processes of inductive, abductive, and deductive thinking. Furthermore, the inductive process in simple and operative observation was involved in the processes of generating a question, conjecture/prediction, designing an operational method, operation, and simple observation. Also, the abductive process had two components; question generation, and hypothesis generation which consisted of analyzing questions, searching explicans, and constructing hypothesis. Finally, the deductive process involved inventing abstract test methods, inventing abstract criteria, inventing concrete test methods, inventing concrete criteria, collecting results, and evaluating hypotheses and stating conclusions.

The Effects by Learners' Characteristics on Scientific Conceptual Changes using Cognitive Conflict Strategy (인지갈등 전략을 이용한 과학 개념변화에서 학습자 특성의 효과)

  • Cognitive conflict plays a very important role towards conceptual change in science education. Many research were conducted on the topic, but they were limited and failed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive conflict strategies for conceptual change on science instruction. It is worth noting that the levels of cognitive conflict varied the same given situation. Besides, the conceptual change resulted in different forms, despite the same level of cognitive conflict. Assuming that one explanation could be found in the learners' characteristics, this study investigated the cognitive conflict and scientific conceptual change by learners' characteristics of middle school students. A proper understanding of the cognitive conflict will help science teachers to apply effectively the strategies towards science conceptual instruction. In this study, learners' characteristics are 'intelligence', 'cognitive level', 'general grade of science subject', 'cognitive style', 'personality', and 'attitudes related to science'. The results says; the intensity of cognitive conflict correlated with students' personality (reflectiveness) and attitudes related to science, and conceptual change correlated with intelligence and cognitive level.

School Adjustment: Comparing Children from Multicultural Families and Children of Non-Multicultural Families (다문화가정 아동청소년과 비다문화가정(한국인 부모가정) 아동청소년의 학교적응 비교 연구)

  • School adjustment has been a popular topic among scholars in multicultural family studies, and they commonly report poor adjustment of children from multicultural families. However, without subjects for comparison, these findings may be considered premature. This study investigated school adjustment of children from multicultural families by comparing their adjustment level to that of children from families with Korean parents. By using the matching procedure, this study examined whether children's multicultural family background attributes to their school adjustment with children's observable characteristics paired and matched. For the analyses, the first and fourth wave of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study data were used. When the school adjustment level was examined before the matching procedure, the school adjustment level was indeed lower among children of multicultural families, and their family status was a significant predictor of school adjustment. However, when two groups were paired and matched using matching, the family background had no significant effect, indicating that school adjustment is not predicted by their multicultural family status. Implications for research and practice are also discussed in the paper.

Research on Emotion Evaluation using Autonomic Response (자율신경계 반응에 의한 감성 평가 연구)

  • Arousal level has been well defined by autonomic responses. However, entire emotion including both valence and arousal level is often questioned to be completely described by only autonomic responses. This study is to find the autonomic physiological parameters which were used emotion evaluation, 15 undergraduate students were asked to watch eight video clips from diverse movies and comedy shows for experiencing emotions. The subjectively experienced emotion were grouped by three factors. Two dimensional emotion model having the pleasant-unpleasant and arousal-non arousal factors were mapped with three physiological responses(GSR, PPG, SKT). The results may suggest that PPG and GSR may be used as arousal index while SKT may pleasant index. And the complex relation of physiological responses to emotional experiences are discussed.

  • Harris(1986)[22]는 주식가격에 있어서의 요일효과(曜日效果)(day-of-the-week effect)의 증거는 광범위한 시장지수에서의 일별(日別) 종가(終價) 대 종가(終價)수익률(收益率)에 대한 연구들에서 나타난다고 한다. 이러한 연구들은 결론적으로 체계적 수익률 행태를, 특히 음(陰)의 월요일 수익률을 증명한다. Harris(1990)[24]는 군집현상(群集現象)은 가격이산성(價格離散性)이 추정량(推定量)에 미치는 영향을 분석할 때 고려되어야 한다고 주장한다. 특히, 군집현상(群集現象)이 거래자가 규정된 최소가격변동에 기초한 집합보다 더 큰 이산적(離散的)가격집합(價格集合)을 사용하기 때문에 결과한다면, Gottlieb 와 Kalay(1985)[21] 및 Harris(1990)[24]에서 확인된 분산(分散)과 시계열공분산(時系列共分散) 추정량(推定量) 편의(偏倚)는 훨씬 더 심각할 것이라고 한다. 또한 모든 연구들은 이산성(離散性)이 거래가격의 유의한 특성이기 때문에 군집현상(群集現象)을 고려하여야 한다고 한다. 주식시장의 경우 요일효과가 존재한다면, 관찰주가의 이산성(離散性)으로 인한 요일별 주가의 끝자리가격의 분포가 월요일과 다른 요일에 있어 차이가 있는지와 요일별 가격결정의 정도가 (1) 주가의 수준, (2) 주가수익률의 기복 및 (3) 시장에서의 주식거래량에 있어 차이가 있는지 둥에 대하여 의문을 갖게 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 이산성으로 인한 요일별 관찰주가의 군집현상에 관한 거래자료를 연구하기 위하여 한국 주식시장에서의 입수가능한 최근년도인 1990년 1월 4일에서 1994년 6월 30일까지의 4년 6개월 동안의 일별주가변동(日別株價變動) 거래자료(去來資料)를 조사하고 실증분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하면 주식가격에 있어서의 요일효과는 관찰가격의 이산성 특히, 호가(呼價)의 가격단위(價格單位)에 기인하는 것 같지는 않다. 그러나 본 연구의 결과에 의하면 최돈일(1993)[7]의 연구 결과에서와 같이 Gottlieb 와 Kalay(1985) [21] 및 Ball(1988)[9]의 주장을 받아들이기 어렵다. 최돈일(1993)[7]의 연구를 확장한 본 연구의 결과는 최돈일(1993)의 연구 결과와도 상이하다.

An Analysis of Spatial Cognition and Operation in Children's Drawings (아동의 그림을 통해 본 공간인지와 조작능력)

  • This paper purposes to provide a new perspective for better development of geography texts. For this purpose, we have applied spatial cognition development theory to children's drawings. We have suggested that children's spatial operation ability has three development stages according to their age: topological space, projective space, euclidean space. This study turns out that Piaget and Inhelder's spatial concept development theory is on the right track. However, we make clear that their division according to the age is not always accurate due to children's individual differences. These findings have educational implications as the following: First, it is dubious that most children can understand pictures, pictorial maps and illustrations in the third grader's textbook. Second, current textbooks require pictorial map understanding and drawing to third grade students and map drawing to fourth grade students. However, according to this study, the placement of these tasks are not fit for children's developmental stage because both tasks correspond to euclidean space operation. Therefore, we should remove them from the textbook for children at the age.

A study on sustainable direction of web-marketing and web-advertising performance (바람직한 웹마케팅의 방향과 웹광고 성과에 관한 연구)

  • Web-ads often distract users' online activities. Web-ads even deter users from comprehending the website contents. As these irritated users try to avoid web-ads, advertising agencies make web-ads even more noticeable to grasp users' attention. The factors that attract users should increase web-ad performance. However, this study confirms that those efforts irritate users and decrease web-ad performance. Also, this study shows that irritated users eventually try to avoid re-visiting the websites. This study also confirms that excessive web-ads on Internet news websites bring more confusion to users than on e-commerce websites. This finding supports the importance of more sustainable web activities on the Internet news websites as users expect objective and fair contents. Based on these results, this study proposes the directions of web-ads activities for the common good and self-interests of the stakeholders.

  • Today, a corporate and the government is making significant investments in informatization in order to enhance competitiveness however, question on the outcome of information-oriented investment has continuously been posed and in order to resolve such problems, the technique of Enterprise Architecture (EA) Despite such fact, in the case of the central administrative institute, even if the EA maturity standard has continuously improved through continuous investment when compared to the past without deviation between institutes, the establishment of EA and the work utilization of EA compared to the management competence still is analyzed to be relatively weak. This study completed the preliminary feasibility study in 2012 for Korea Customs Service which has been appointed as the representative institute that best utilizes EA in the field of information operation and evaluation field in the 2010 EA Maturity Evaluation and it can become a case study that can contribute to more continuous development and improvement of other public institute EA by introducing the performance of EA-based 4th Korean National Customs Information Network which has entered into total reconstruction in 2013 and by identifying the implications of EA performance arising from such.
