Customers purchasing souvenir T-shirts in famous tourist sites in Korea are mainly foreigners. Nevertheless, these T-shirts are manufactures according to Koreans' body shapes or manufactures' own size system. Moreover, sizes are labelled only by domestic norms. The purpose of this study is to suggest global standardized size for T-shirts, which will provide more precise size information for customers. For this, sizing standards including KS, ASTM, JIS, and EN were surveyed and were compared. And souvenir T-shirts were collected in the tourist resort and the sizing systems and labels were analysed from them. Finally, we proposed a sizing system and labelling as an international standard for souvenir T-shirts.

The purpose of this study is to suggest sizing chart for a clean room wear. 3 control dimensions(Stature, Bust girth, B.N.P.∼Wrist point length) were chosen as 3 axes of clean room wear size chart. A loss function was used to determined intervals of stature, Bust girth and B.N.P.∼Wrist point length of size chart, because the loss function introduces the concept of frequency to size chart for better customer's size satisfaction. From the size table whose intervals had been determined by a loss function. The 4 sizes individually were suggested for clean room wear size chart by sex. The 3 sizes individually were suggested for clean room head cover size chart by sex too. The suggested size chart would be considered more feasible than present size chart. Also they are suggested supply reference measurement chart relevant to clean room wear manufacturing for 13 most frequent sizes.

Today, functional gloves must allow the wearer to perform many kinds of delicate work while protecting the hands from hazardous materials. In this study, multiple analyses of 3D hand measurements were performed to provide information on the hand size and shape required for the design of functional gloves for adult men. Size and shape characteristics were identified from 19 different hand measurements, and three factors were collected through factor analysis. The aggregated factor score was used to classify men's hand shapes into three types. These types showed different distribution patterns according to age, indicating a significant distribution difference between hand type and age group. Discriminant analysis extracted nine items that highly contributed to determining hand type. However, since the data provided by Size Korea have some limitations in fully representing hand shape, sampling additional types of hand measurements and using consistent conditions and methods are required for more accurate analysis.

Most apparel products have national standards for sizing; however, for gloves, national sizing standards have not yet been established. This study aims to analyze children's hand dimensions and propose a size specification for children's gloves that shows children's hand-related size information. Among the 3D measurements of sixth Size Korea Project, the measurement data of 19 dimensions related to the hands of 1,057 boys and girls aged 7-13 years old were analyzed. The distribution and growth trend of hand measurements for boys and girls demonstrated considerable mean differences and distribution trends by gender and age as per hand dimensions, which leads to the conclusion that it is necessary to show these results in the children's glove design. Based on these results, the cross-distribution maps of children's hand length and hand circumference were drafted; furthermore, the distribution relationship with an adult hand size was identified. Based on the distribution of hand sizes, the distribution of adult hand sizes overlapped with children's hand sizes was verified, and children's glove size specifications were presented. The results can be used as useful data such as measures for setting the size range and sizing system for children's gloves.

This is a basic study to recommend a legging sizing system suitable for middle-aged women. This study aims to explore and analyze the sizing system of branded leggings for middle-aged women. Therefore, 40 pairs of leggings from 20 brands preferred by middle-aged women were first selected to compare their sizing systems. Thus, it was found that the size distribution of legging brands varied significantly, and the number of sizes or the size deviation also varied depending on the brands or products. Second, the adult female age groups were classified as 18-24 years, 25-34 years, 35-44 years, and 45-59 years. Additionally, the distribution of the waist and hip circumferences by age group was compared with the size specifications of the leggings. Leggings with large differences between size specifications and body size distribution were identified in each age group. In the case of women aged 45 to 59, the size distribution suitability of branded leggings was found to be the lowest among the four age groups. Furthermore, it was also found that it is important to reflect the body size distribution, especially the waist circumference, to establish a legging sizing system suitable for women aged 45 to 59 years.

This study investigated the problems of Korean female combat uniforms and collected primary data for developing new combat uniforms with improved functionality. We analyzed fit and motion suitability by administering a questionnaire evaluating the current uniforms to 20 Korean female soldiers. The evaluation of fit suitability found that satisfaction with the combat uniforms was generally high. However, short sleeve length, large wrist circumference, small hip circumference, large ankle circumference, and low crotch height were discomfort factors. In the evaluation of motion suitability, dissatisfaction was found with the sleeve circumference, elbow circumference, armhole circumference, knee crease and crotch height, and back waist height during motion. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a more segmented size system that suits the physique of current female soldiers and to devise appropriate solutions for improving motion suitability. This study is meaningful for its evaluation of the current combat uniform of female soldiers, and it is expected to serve as a reference for the future development of military combat uniforms for this group.

본 연구에서는 사이즈코리아에서 2015년 이루어진 제7차 인체치수조사 데이터 중 60대 남성의 치수와 2014년에 이루어진 고령자인체치수조사 데이터의 70대와 80대 남성의 치수를 분석하여 신체적인 노화가 주로 나타나는 연령 구간과 노화에 따른 노년 남성 체형의 변화에 대한 특성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 노년 남성의 경우 대체로 66-68세 사이와 75-77세 사이 그리고 84-85세 사이에 급격한 노화현상이 나타나게 되고 60대와 70대에는 서서히 노화가 진행되다가 대체로 80대에 들어서면서 노화가 심화되어 신체적으로 체형의 변화가 급격히 나타나게 된다. 연령의 증가에 따른 노화의 현상으로 신체의 둘레, 너비, 높이 등에서는 변화가 심화되나 둘레, 너비, 높이에 비해 두께의 경우에는 변화가 크지 않은 것으로 분석되었다. 또, 노년 여성의 경우에는 등이 굽는 현상이 나타났으나 노년 남성의 경우에는 여성과는 반대로 뒤로 젖혀진 체형이 나타나 차이가 발견되었다. 따라서 의복패턴 제작 시 앞중심길이와 등길이 설정에 있어서 노년 여성과는 반대로 등 길이를 짧게 하는 패턴상의 수정이 요구된다.

본 논문에서는 한류의 영향으로 그 관심이 증가되고 있는 신한복 커스터마이징 시스템 개발을 위해 신한복 치마 패턴개발에 필요한 기초자료를 얻고자 시판 6개 신한복 브랜드의 치마 패턴을 비교분석하였다. 같은 디자인의 free사이즈 치마임에도 불구하고 각기 다른 치수로 제작되는 것으로 나타났다. 치마길이는 17cm, 허리벨트길이는 29cm, 허리벨트폭은 4.5cm, 끈길이는 72.7cm, 치마길이는 17.0cm, 치마폭은 90.5cm의 차이를 나타냈다. 같은 신한복 치마임에도 브랜드에 따라 치수 차이가 큰 것으로 분석되어 치수규격의 정리가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 한국 성인여성의 신체치수를 분석하여 그에 적합한 신한복 치마 패턴 개발이 이루어져야 함을 알 수 있다.

본 연구는 중국 성인 여성을 대상으로 드롭 치수로 체형을 분류하고, 각 거주지역(북경ㆍ상해), 연령대(20대ㆍ30대ㆍ40대)별 분포도를 비교, 고찰함으로써 각 집단의 체형의 차이점을 파악하고자 한다. 이는 중국 성인 여성의 체형에 관한 구체적인 정보를 제공할 것이며 또한 중국 여성용 의류 상품의 치수 개발과 맞음새 향상을 위한 기초 자료로 중국 내수 시장 진출에 도움을 줄 것이다. (중략)
