  • In this study, the purpose of this study was to conduct a basic study on the effectiveness and feasibility of the regulation of the Nuclear Safety Act for the department of radiology by examining the questionnaire on the satisfaction of on-campus practice while attending the department of radiology and the current status of radiation workers and radiation related workers. As for the satisfaction of the workers who were designated as frequent visitors while attending the department of radiology and did not handle and operate the radiation generator during on-campus training, 34.62% of the workers answered 'not satisfied'. On the other hand, 50% of workers who were designated as radiation workers while attending school or who were enrolled in school before the regulation of the nuclear safety act and handled and operated radiation generators were 'satisfied' at 50%. In addition, the annual exposure dose of radiation workers in educational institutions was found to be less than 0.05 mSv. If you look at the trends of radiation workers and radiation workers, it can be seen that students who graduate from the Department of Radiology find the most employment in the field dealing with diagnostic radiation generators registered as radiation workers among medical institutions. Therefore, by easing the regulations of the current Nuclear Safety Act or by amending the medical act and the rules on the safety management of diagnostic radiation generating devices, etc. It is presumed that something is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a perception of importance on patient safety management scale (PI-PSM) for Hospital Employee. The PI-PSM was developed and vallidated as follows: item generation, vertification of content validity, pilot study, and test of validity and reliability. In order to verify preliminary instrument, data was collected from 280 hospital employees. Data were analyzed by Varimax factor analysis and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. There were 21 items in final instrument categorized into 4 factors as 'concern about patient safety management (7 items)', 'confidence about patient safety management (5 items)', 'will for patient safety management (5 items)', and 'recognition about patient safety management (4 items)'. The total varience explanined was 60.4%. The internal consistency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. was .86, and reliability of the sucscales ranged from .69 to .87. The results of this study may useful to assess the perception of importance on patient safety management.

  • Nurses are medical personnels under the Medical Service Act and perform medical practice such as medical assistance at medical institutions. The nurse, a medical personnel, provides emergency medical service to emergency patients in the pre-hospital emergency medical system as a 119 rescuer based on the Act on 119 Rescue and Emergency Medical Services. The scope of practice of nurses is comprehensively defined in the Medical Service Act and specified through precedents. In contrast, The scope of work of emergency medical technician is listed in detail. It is understood that nurses in the pre-hospital emergency medical service system have a wider scope of practice than emergency medical technician. In particular, the scope of practice of nurses as emergency medical personnel in the pre-hospital emergency medical system should be interpreted differently within the medical institution, considering the urgency of the patient, being transferred to the emergency medical institution, and the specificity of medical direction through tele-communication.

  • This study was to identify the influence of job satisfaction on the role clarity perception of the personnels except medical staffs of hospitals. The study subjects of this study were 486 personnels employed in the supporting departments of hospital. As the result of multiple regression analysis, policy decision showed the highest explanatory power on job satisfaction, We would conclude that in order to improve the performance level of hospital by increasing the job satisfaction of their non-medical personnels, the hospital managers should make efforts to raise the role clarity of them. Our study had some limitations. Especially, because measurement scale on job satisfaction used in our study didn't consist of subdivision, our findings would not show which area was more important in improving job satisfaction.

The data were collected from April 2 to April 23, 2019 and analyzed descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using the SPSS Win. 22.0 program. The result of the multiple regression indicates the intention to awareness regarding advance directives, intention to execute advance directives, time to complete advance directives and recognition of good death predict 23.5% (F=12.39, P=.000) of attitudes toward advance directives. • The purpose of this study is to propose interventions on emotional labor and health issues through verifying the mediating effects of depression and anxiety on the relationship between emotional labor and somatic symptoms in medical workers. For this study, a sample of 200 medical workers completed the questionnaires of the Korean Emotional Labor Scale, the Patient Health Questionnaire-15, the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Results showed a risk of emotional labor, depression, and somatic symptoms in medical workers. 2. The risk group of the emotional labor's 4 factors (excluding organizational support and protection system) had a significantly higher level of depression compared with the normal group. Particularly in emotional dissonance and impairment, depression in the risk group was moderate, while depression in the normal group was normal. 3. Only emotional dissonance and impairment had a significant influence on somatic symptoms. Reflecting the results, the mediating effects of depression and anxiety on the relationship between emotional dissonance and impairment and somatic symptoms were verified. Results showed that depression had a partial mediating effect, whereas anxiety did not have a mediating effect. Finally, we discuss the necessity of dealing with emotional dissonance and depression in emotional labor and health issues.
