We suggest a distributed communication and management methodology using PC to PC Query multicasting strategy for efficient management of medical images produced by DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) Modalities. It is absolutely necessary to reduce strict degradation of PACS system due to large sire of medical images and their very high transport rates. DICOM PC to PC Component is composed of a Service Manager to execute requested queries, a Communication Manager to take charge of file transmission, and a DICOM Manager to manage stored data and system behavior Each Manager itself is a component to search for requested file by interaction or to transmit the file to other PCs. Distributed management and transformation of medical information based on PC to PC Query multicasting methodology will enhance performance of central server and network capacity, reducing overload on both. We organize three major components for system operation. Each component is implemented as Agent. Communication between agents uses XML encoded Agent Communication Language.

As health information on the Internet increasing, the availabilities of health information from the Internet becomes more important with health care professionals and information specialists. the quality of health information on the Internet are continually being presented without any guarantee or judge on the quality. It is needed to provide the right to use of qualified health information through Internet. HONCODE has been established and managed by HON (Health On the Net) Foundation. In this paper, Web sites of thyroid cancer Information are evaluated using HONCODE. They provide domestic medical information on the Internet. Through this, more accuracy and evaluated information could be provided on the Internet about the thyroid cancer.

Background : The purpose of this study was to understand general attitudes of physicians toward hospital quality improvement activities who have been members of QA committee in 32 Korean university hospitals. Methods : A postal survey about opinions of hospital quality improvement activities and desirable policy directions was sent to 328 QA committee member physicians. The questionnaires were composed of 48 items. In total 152 physicians responded to this survey(response rate: 49.3%). This study was carried out from January to February 1996. Results : Most physicians(97.5%) recognized the necessity of hospital QA activities. The most dominant supporting reason for quality activities was to improve clinical outcome. Two thirds of physicians regarded their own hospital activities for quality improvement as inactive. They considered that the obstacles were too little concern(33.6%), unclear objectives(28.9%), lack of human resources(14.3%), and insufficient education and training for quality improvement(10.1%). The most favoring policy among respondents was to give health care providers economic incentives. Provision of education and training for implementing quality improvement was the next to it. Physicians revealed their preferences for professional society, government, health insurance societies, consumer groups, hospital labor unions, and mass media in sequence as sponsoring agencies for hospital accreditation program. Conclusion : These study suggested that the concrete means for motivating physicians and promoting constructive partnership among related parties should be developed in order to activate current hospital quality activities in Korea.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of psychological health and physical health on health-related quality of life(HRQoL) in Korean Echo Generation by using Korea Health Panel Data 2013. The Korea Health Panel Data 2013 were collected from February to October 2013 and 2,261 respondents were analyzed. The data were analyzed by Independent t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression using SPSS WIN 24.0 program. he mean score of HRQoL was 0.98. The effect of unmet medical needs, psychological & physical stress, unmet basic needs, anxiety about the future, depression, suicidal ideation, smoking, sleeping time, hearing problem, eating problem, restriction of activity, and self-rated health status) were significant on HRQoL. Health care providers should consider the effect of psychological and physical health when they design program for the improvement of HRQoL for Korean echo generation in community.

This study briefly compares the first-cycle certification of nursing hospitals with the second-cycle certification, reviews the changes and achievements of the second-cycle certification and the third-cycle certification, and examples of challenges and solutions in the process of preparing the third-cycle certification. In this study, it is suggested as follows. First, in order to see the practical effect of certification intended by the government, the exhibition is prepared in a short period of time before certification. Second, after the implementation of the nursing hospital certification system, research on the hospital performance of the medical institution certification system is insufficient in terms of quality and quantity. Therefore, in order to see the effect on the certification system, various research support is also required so that research on this can be actively conducted. Third, design certification standard guidelines from a long-term perspective so that the standard guidelines for certification do not change significantly, and certify not only the guidelines but also individual standards and forms that can be used by medical institutions. Fourth, in the four-cycle certification, accurate and realistic guidelines for infection control and quarantine ward operation support should be developed. The importance of managing infectious diseases will be highlighted in the future due to COVID-19. Fifth, medical institutions can improve the quality of medical care in nursing hospitals and have competitiveness if their daily activities, not short-term certification preparation, are carried out in accordance with certification standards, which affects performance. Sixth, when preparing for certification, nursing hospital officials have problems in organizing documents or processing administratively in the short term as in the past. This is also based on the certification criteria for the usual business process.

Purpose: This study tested the effectiveness of brochure- and video-based education on managing surgical site infections by operating room health personnel. Methods: From April 20 to May 4, 2021, 34 operating room health personnel were subjected to training on surgical site infection management using brochures and educational videos. A survey was then conducted on knowledge, perception, and adherence regarding surgical site infection management. Results: After receiving training on surgical site infection management, the knowledge score increased significantly (15.15±2.09 vs.19.70±1.96, p<.001). However, the perception and adherence scores were already near perfect before the intervention and did not further increase after the intervention. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop and utilize continuous and substantive educational programs to improve perception and adherence of surgical site infection management.

국민들의 생활수준향상 및 질병양상의 변화 등으로 건강에 대한 관심이 증대됨에 따라 지역사회 뿐만 아니라 의료보험관리공단 및 의료보험조합에서도 각종 만성퇴행성질환에 대한 사전예방을 통하여 국민의 건강증진을 꾀하고 삶의 질을 향상시킴으로써 의료비 지출을 절감시킬 수 있는 보건예방사업을 전개하기 시작하였다. 이는 예방이 치료보다 10배 정도의 비용절감효과를 가져오기 때문이다.

This study was conducted to analyze the status radiological imaging examinations assessment in Korea medical institutions conducted in the public sector and suggest a direction for improvement. Among the assessment of medical institutions, the main assessment related to radiographic imaging examinations are the certification evaluation of medical institutions and the adequacy assessment of radiographic imaging examinations. The certification evaluation of medical institutions evaluates the image inspection operation process, provision of accurate results, and compliance with safety management procedures. In the assessment of adequacy of radiographic imaging examinations, structural indicators related to manpower and equipment, patient evaluation implementation rate, and exposure reduction programs were included. However, for safer and higher-quality radiological imaging examinations, it is necessary to increase the participation rate of medical institutions in certification evaluations. In addition, it is necessary to improve the manpower indicator, and incentive payments can be considered to induce quality improvement of medical institutions in the future. Integrated management of radiation exposure at the national level should also be carried out simultaneously.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the performance and importance of clinical nutritionists. Methods: Ninety-nine nutritionists working in mental health institutions were assessed. Results: Factors affecting the performance of clinical nutritionists in certified hospitals were shown to have a significant positive effect on the description of treatment diet, status of clinical nutrition management, and presence of a nutrition counselor. The factors affecting importance were the number of permission beds and total work experience. Conclusions: In order to improve the accreditation system of mental hospitals, it is necessary to expand the scope of this study to include hospitals with fewer beds, and clinical nutrition management should be mandatory.
