Pulmonary vascular Segmentation Using Insight Toolkit(ITK) (ITK를 이용한 폐혈관 분할)

  • The occurrence of various vascular diseases due to the need for accurate and rapid diagnosis was emphasized. Several limitations to the presence of pulmonary vascular angiography for chest CT imaging was aware of the need for diversity in medical image processing with Insight Toolkit(ITK) suggested pulmonary vascular division. In this paper, by contrast, based on the value of a two-step partitioning of the lungs and blood vessels to perform the process of splitting. Lung area segmentation of each stage image enhancement, threshold value, resulting in areas of interest cut image acquisition and acquired pulmonary vascular division in lung area obtained by applying the fill area. Partitioned on the basis of pulmonary vascular imaging to obtain three-dimensional visualization image of the pulmonary vascular analysis and diagnosis of a variety of perspectives are considered possible.

  • In response to the increased use of digital video device, more researches are actively made on the image processing technologies. Image processing is practically used on various applied fields such as medical photographic interpretation, and object recognition. The types of image noise include Gaussian Noise, Impulse Noise, and Salt and Pepper. Noise refers to the unnecessary information which damages the video and the noise is mainly removed by a filter. Typical noise removal methods are Median Filter and Average Filter. While Median Filter is effective for removing Salt and Pepper noise, the noise removal performance is relatively lower in the environment with high noise density. To address such issue, this study suggested an algorithm which utilizes neighboring pixels to remove noise.

  • 인체의 흉부 X-ray 영상으로부터 척추질환과 관련된 의료 진단지표를 자동으로 추출하는 과정을 위하여 흉추조직의 정확한 분할이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 HRNet 기반의 학습을 통하여 흉추조직을 분할하는 방법을 고찰한다. 분할 과정에서 영상 내의 상대적인 위치 정보가 효과적으로 반영될 수 있도록, 계층별로 영상의 고해상도의 표현이 그대로 유지되는 구조와 저해상도의 특징 지도로 변환되는 구조가 병렬적으로 연결되는 형태의 심층 신경망 모델을 채택하였다. 흉부 X-ray 영상에서 콥각도(Cobb's angle)를 산출하는 문제를 대상으로 흉추 분할을 위한 학습 방법, 진단지표 추출 방법 등을 소개하며, 부수적으로 피사체의 위치 변화 및 크기 변화 등에 강인한 성능을 제공하기 위하여 학습 데이터를 증강하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 총 145개의 영상을 사용한 실험을 통하여 제안된 이론의 타당성을 평가하였다.

  • Unlike a medical doctor, a dentist performs all the tasks necessary for diagnosis and treatment of a disease all by himself. To increase the diagnostic accuracy, dentists need an efficient working environment providing much more integrated information of clinical data and radiographic image. In this paper, we propose an integrated environment for the dental hospital. It provides paperless and filmless hospital environment by integrating seamlessly three major operations for the dental hospital including patient record generation and management, clinical image acquisition and analysis, and treatment planning and simulation. This system also allows clinicians to provide more predictable dental care for the patients by supporting instant access to all the clinical data and quantitative data analysis.

  • 우리나라만의 독창적인 의료체계인 사상체질은 의학적 본질의 우수성에도 불구하고 크게 대중화 되지 않았으며 인지도 또한 높지 못하다. 이는 사상체질에서 가장 중요한 부분이 사상체질의 정확한 분류인데 현재 임상현장에서 행해지고 있는 사상체질 분류 방식은 임상의의 경험과 주관적 소견에 의해 분류되고 있기 때문에 진단 결과에 객관성이 없고 정확도가 낮게 평가되고 있는 실정이다. 이를 위해 사상체질 진단 방법 중 하나인 용모사기론을 IT공학의 영상처리에 적용하여 안면 영상 분석을 통해 사상체질 분류를 수행하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 사상의학적 원전과 기존의 방법들을 조사, 연구하여 사상체질 분류의 중요한 요소를 결정하고 시스템 구현을 목표로 실험을 통해 사상체질 분류의 유의성을 갖는 측정 요소에 대해 검증해 보고자 한다.

  • 현재 의료기술의 발달로 실버 인구가 늘어남에 따라 주변의 도움이 필요한 일들이 많아지고 있다. 특히 무거운 물체를 옮기는데 도움이 필요한 경우가 많은 것이 현실이다. 그래서 사용자를 따라다니며 도움을 주는 로봇의 필요성이 인식되면서 추적로봇이 만들어지고 있다. 기존방식은 초음파를 이용하는데 이와 같은 방식은 송신기를 휴대해야 한다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 그것을 보완하기 위한방법으로 카메라를 이용하여 영상처리를 통한 방식을 제안한다. 표적을 부착함으로써 사용자를 인식 및 추적이 가능하게 됨으로써 생활에 편리한 제품으로 자리 잡을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The recent medical treatment guidelines and the development of information technology make hospitals reduce the expense in surrounding environment and it requires improving the quality of medical treatment of the hospital. That is, with the new guidelines and technology, hospital business escapes simple fee calculation and insurance claim center. Moreover, MIS(Medical Information System), PACS(Picture Archiving and Communications System), OCS(Order Communicating System), EMR(Electronic Medical Record), DSS(Decision Support System) are also developing. Medical Information System is evolved toward integration of medical IT and situation si changing with increasing high speed in the ICT convergence. These changes and development of ubiquitous environment require fundamental change of medical information system. Mobile medical information system refers to construct wireless system of hospital which has constructed in existing environment. Through RFID development in existing system, anyone can log on easily to Internet whenever and wherever. RFID is one of the technologies for Automatic Identification and Data Capture(AIDC). It is the core technology to implement Automatic processing system. This paper provides a comprehensive basic review of RFID model in Korea and suggests the evolution direction for further advanced RFID application services. In addition, designed and implemented DB server's agent program and Client program of Mobile application that recognized RFID tag and patient data in the ubiquitous environments. This system implemented medical information system that performed patient data based EMR, HIS, PACS DB environments, and so reduced delay time of requisition, medical treatment, lab.

A Study of Guide System for Cerebrovascular Intervention (뇌혈관 중재시술 지원 가이드 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the recent advancement in digital imaging technology, development of intervention equipment has become generalize. Video arbitration procedure is a process to insert a tiny catheter and a guide wire in the body, so in order to enhance the effectiveness and safety of this treatment, the high-quality of x-ray of image should be used. However, the increasing of radiation has become the problem. Therefore, the studies to improve the performance of x-ray detectors are being actively processed. Moreover, this intervention is based on the reference of the angiographic imaging and 3D medical image processing. In this paper, we propose a guidance system to support this intervention. Through this intervention, it can solve the problem of the existing 2D medical images based vessel that has a formation of cerebrovascular disease, and guide the real-time tracking and optimal route to the target lesion by intervention catheter and guide wire tool. As a result, the system was completely composed for medical image acquisition unit and image processing unit as well as a display device. The experimental environment, guide services which are provided by the proposed system Brain Phantom (complete intracranial model with aneurysms, ref H+N-S-A-010) was taken with x-ray and testing. To generate a reference image based on the Laplacian algorithm for the image processing which derived from the cerebral blood vessel model was applied to DICOM by Volume ray casting technique. $A^*$ algorithm was used to provide the catheter with a guide wire tracking path. Finally, the result does show the location of the catheter and guide wire providing in the proposed system especially, it is expected to provide a useful guide for future intervention service.

  • 최근 정부 및 의료산업계에서 원격진료에 대한 관심이 매우 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 모바일 PACS 시스템을 개선한 XC(External Photography Camera) 유형의 DICOM 영상획득 장치 설계 및 개발 결과를 제시하며, 또한 고용량의 DICOM 이미지를 스마트기기에 효율적인 전송하기 위한 모바일 게이트웨이 설계 결과를 제시한다.
