본 연구는 2국간 의료기기무역흐름(international trade flow)에 관한 무역결합도이론(Intensity Approach)을 통해 우리나라의 의료기기수출구조(export structure)와 중국과 일본의 수입구조(import structure)를 상호유기적으로 연계시킴으로써 한 중 일 의료기기 무역의 흐름을 보다 이론적이고 체계적으로 분석하였다. 또한, 우리의 대중국과 일본의 의료기기 수출증대(boost exports)에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는데 의의가 있다. 이에 본고에서는 한국과 의료기기(medical device) 시장에서 주요한 경쟁관계에 있는 중국과 일본의료기기 시장의 중요성을 인식하고 특별히 의료기기의 한 중 일 무역현황(situation of trade)을 살펴본다. 이어서 삼국의 의료기기에 있어서 상대적인 시장흐름(market stream)과 주요 의료기기 품목의 무역결합도(trade intensity)를 알아보고, 한 중 일 의료기기 시장의 지속적인 성장방안을 찾고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to identify Intra-industry phenomena of Clothing Trade in Korea. For this purpose, changes of Korean clothing trade were analyzed in connection with the theory of intra-industry trade during the 1990's. Formerly, changes of Korean clothing trade were analyzed by the trade orientation index and that of the trade with each Korean clothing trade partner particularly. secondly, tendency and major determinants of two-way trade or intra-industry trade of Korean clothing trade were analyzed. The results of the study were as follows : First, the trade pattern of clothing in Korea was strong export orientation. Since the mid 1990's, however, this tendency has been weakened. Second, tendency of one-way trade is strong generally. but since the mid 1990's, tendency of intra-industry(two-way) trade increased. The intra-industry(two-way) trade tendency with Hong Kong and China is especially strong. Third, from the viewpoint of determinants of intra-industry trade in clothing industry, the determinant is distance between countries in 1994. Also the determinant is trade tendency of the country in 1999.

In this paper, we examined trends and regulations of the global medical equipment industry through literature search. The medical equipment industry is attracting attention as a new growth engine in the Fourth Industrial revolution. However, the medical device industry is a highly competitive field due to product diversity, short product life cycle and technological advances. In addition, Medical equipment are related to human health and safety. Therefore, it can only be exported if it is approved by national or international standards. Therefore, from the development stage of the product, the medical equipment should designate the country to be exported and develop a medical equipment that meets the requirements for licensing the medical equipment in the country. Therefore, In this paper, In this paper, we will present the practical considerations of the medical equipment exporting company by examining the global medical equipment market trends and the regulations related to medical equipment in major countries.

This study has analyzed the international trade flow of medical devices in Korea, China, and U.S. more theoretically and systematically through a mutual connection of the medical device export structure of Korea and the import structure of China and U.S. organically, with an intensity approach on the bilateral international trade flow. Also, it is meaningful to find a solution to boost exports of Korea to China and U.S.. Therefore in this study, we recognize the importance of the medical device market in China and U.S., which is the main competition for Korea and its market, and look into the trade situation of these three countries. We also look into the relative market stream and the trade intensity of the main medical devices in Korea, China and U.S., and seek measures for the steady growth of the medical device market in these three countries.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is aimed to examine the Free Trade Agreement and its General Agreement on Trade in Services, especially, the healthcare service and the prospect of the system. Methods: This study was based on fourteen literature reviews from 2001 to 2014. Results: Free Trade Agreement and the General Agreement on Trade in Services were examined and Japan, China, and the United States's examples were shown. Healthcare market opening issues are the tendency of this era with the concept of globalization. Conclusion: This study highlights the tendency of healthcare market opening with all the pros and cons. The healthcare system along with the medical and nursing fields need to modify their system based on the globalization.

2001년 카타르 도하에서 열린 세계무역기구(WTO)의 각료회의 결과 2005년까지 보건의료 서비스분야의 시장개방 논의를 마쳐야 한다. 이에 국내 의료계는 의료공동대책위원회를 구성하여 대응방안을 모색하고 있으며, 치협도 특별위원회를 구성하여 국민 구강보건에 최선의 방향을 찾기 위해 노력을 하고 있다. 그런 노력의 일환으로 치협은 치과의사들이 현 의료시장 개방이라는 명제 앞에서, 얼마나 처해진 상황을 잘 파악하고 있으며 무엇을 원하는 가를 알기 위해 회원들의 의견을 물었다. 이번 호와 다음 호에서는 치협이 지난 4월에 회원 및 치대생 등에게 설문 조사한 결과를 중심으로 모아진 회원들의 견해를 중심으로 구강보건정책연구회에서 발표한 자료를 게재한다.

글로벌 경제위기 이후, 주요 국가들은 일자리 창출을 위한 '창업 활성화'와 '중소기업 육성'에 높은 우선순위를 두고 관련 정책을 추진하고 있다. 국내에서도 '일자리 창출' 실현에 있어 기술 경쟁력을 갖춘 중소기업의 역할이 대두됨에 따라 정책적 관심이 고조되고 있다. 특히 보건의료 산업은 특성상 산업화까지 오랜 시간이 필요하며, 유통구조가 복잡하므로 관계부처 및 관계기관의 공동 전략이 필수적인데, 그에 따른 정책적 지원의 부재로 인해 대부분 영세한 중소기업에 머물러 있고, 글로벌 역량 또한 미흡한 것이 현실로, 이에 정부 차원의 혁신적인 지원방안과 전략이 절실하다. 본 연구에서는 독일의 사례를 통해 보건의료 분야의 중소기업이 글로벌 강소기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 정부의 정책적 지원 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과 강소기업을 독일의 사례와 같이 세계적 수준의 기술경쟁력을 갖춘 글로벌 히든챔피언 기업으로 성장시켜 국제경쟁력을 갖추고, 우수 중소기업의 강소기업화를 촉진할 수 있는 환경 조성 및 기술 개발이 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 향후 글로벌 시장에서 보건의료 분야의 제품 및 기술 경쟁력을 확보하고, 고용창출 효과 및 매출액·부가가치 등이 높은 수출 중심의 글로벌 강소기업을 육성하기 위해서는 실질적인 정책적 지원이 필요할 것이다.

본 연구는 한국과 중미 5개국 간의 FTA가 발효됨에 따라 시장점유율, 무역집중도, 무역특화도를 활용하여 국내 주요 수출산업의 경쟁력에 대해 분석하였다. 분석결과, 한국에서는 선박과 자동차 및 부품, 철강, 전자기기 등 공산품 위주로 수출을 하고 있으며, 커피, 동과 같은 원자재 및 농산물을 수입하고 있어 상호보완적 무역구조를 나타내고 있다. 무역특화도 분석에서는 한국은 선박, 자동차, 철강, 기계류등의 공산품 수출에 특화되어 있었으며, 동, 커피 등 1차산품에 수입 특화되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대(對)중미 주요 수출 품목인 선박, 철강, 기계류와 같은 제품들은 관세인하로 인해 경쟁력이 더욱 강화될 것으로 예상된다. 또한 코로나 19로 인해 향후 의약품 및 의료용품에 대한 수요도 증가할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구는 한-중미 FTA 발효에 따라 중미 시장에서 한국의 주요 수출산업의 경쟁력 분석을 통해 수출전략 수립에 시사점을 제시하고자 하였으며, 중미 시장을 교두보로 향후 남미 지역으로 진출에 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
