A Study on the Literary Therapeutic Functions of Ancient Sijo that Ends without a Predicate (서술어가 생략된 고시조의 문학치료 기능 연구)

  • The Sijo provides dynamic rated therapeutic activities in our life. This study aims to search for the literary therapeutic function secreted from the Sijo that ends with a noun. As a result, the noun used at the final sentence secretes a predicative function. This kind of Sijo functions as twelve sound steps, even though it is condensed of just eleven sound steps with one sound step omitted. This functional secretion of Sijo is therapeutic predicate concerned with encoding of literary therapy. Thus it become possible to activate the therapeutic encoding in Sijo or a language by uttering only noun, instead of the predicate. That's because the noun in the last sentence of Sijo permeated in the human body and is done subject, and neuron of the body becomes a predicate, so that the Sijo's subject and the neuron's predicate are fused into a sentence. During the course the human body seems to recognize that the neuron's nucleus analyzes the information of the noun and makes a new sentence. This recognition might also be regarded as a process of encoding that has therapeutic functions secreted from the human body.

Studies on Preparation of Dysprosium-165 Metallic Macroaggregates for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis (류마티스 관절염 치료용 디스프로슘-165금속 응집입자($^{165}Dy-MA$)의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • Irradiation of 20mg of natural $Dy(NO_3)_3$ in a neutron flux of $2{\times}10^{13}n/cm^2$ sec for 4 hours gave 5.76 Ci of $^{165}Dy$(specific activity, 610mCi/mg Dy) with high radionuclidic purity (>99.9 %). $^{165}Dy-MA$ was prepared in a quantitative yield by reacting the aqueous solution of $^{165}Dy(NO_3)_3$ with sodium borohydride solution in 0.2N NaOH. Coulter particle analyzer exhibited mean particle size of $2.6{\mu}m$ (range $1{\sim}6{\mu}m$), Even though the $^{165}Dy-MA$ suspension in saline was stored at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours or autoclaved at $121^{\circ}C$ for 30minutes, there was no significant change in particle size and leakage problem indicating the prepared $^{165}Dy-MA$ is sufficiently stable. In-vivo retention studies were carried out by administering $^{165}Dy-MA$ into the knee joint space of normal rabbits. Gamma camera analysis showed high retention in joint space of normal rabbits. Gamma camera analysis showed high retention in joint space even at 24 hours after administration (> 99.9%). The ease with which the $^{165}Dy-MA$ can be made in the narrow size range and their high invitro and vivo stability make them attractive agents for radiation synovectomy.

Crystallization of Neodymium carbonate from Neodymium Chloride Solution (염화네오디뮴 수용액으로부터 탄산네오디뮴 결정화)

  • In this study, the crystallization of neodymium carbonate from neodymium chloride solution by addition of ammonium bicarbonate was investigated. The concentration of reactants such as neodymium chloride and ammonium bicarbonate, and reaction temperature play an important part in order to obtain the crystal of neodymium carbonate. It seemed that amorphous neodymium carbonate was prepared by aggregation of primary particles formed through nucleation. If reaction rate was increased by increasing the concentration of reactants and reaction temperature, then neodymium carbonate crystal could be obtained. Lanthanite-type neodymium carbonate[$Nd_2(CO_3)_3{\cdot}8H_2O$] and tengerite-type neodymium carbonate[$Nd_2(CO_3)_3{\cdot}2.5H_2O$] could be obtained with reaction renditions. Lanthanite-type neodymium carbonate was sensitive to temperature. The thermal decomposition of neodymium carbonate contained the processes or dehydration, decarbonation and crystalization of $Nd_2O_3$. The shape of lanthanite-type neodymium carbonate was irregular lump type, and tengerite-type neodymium carbonate had the shape of needle type. The shape of $Nd_2O_3$ was affected by the shape of neodymium carbonate.

Study on the Preparations of New $^{166}Ho$-Chitosan Complex and Its Macroaggregates for a Potential Use of Internal Radiotherapy (새로운 내부 방사선 치료용 $^{166}Ho$-Chitosan 착물 및 그 응집입자의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • Chitosan is a polysaccharide of natural orgin obtained by full or partial deacetylation of chitin, a very abudant natural polymer, which has the properties of biocompatibilities, bioaffinities, and biodegradabilities. The free amino group of chitosan should be participated in forming chelate with holmium (${\beta}$-emitter). $^{166}Ho(NO_3)_3\;5H_2O$ of high radionuclidic purity of upto 99.9% was made by neutron irradiation of naturally occuring $^{166}Ho(NO_3)_3\;5H_2O$, and then reacted with the prepared chitosan solution. The effect of pH, reaction time, the concentration and viscosity of chitosan and the amount of $^{166}Ho$ on forming $^{166}Ho$-chitosan complex ($^{166}Ho$-CHICO) were investigated. $^{166}Ho$-chitosan macroaggregate($^{166}Ho$-CHIMA) was made from $^{166}Ho$-CHICO. Their physical properties such as radionuclidic purity, particle size distribution, stability in vitro and vivo were examined. Their high in vitro and vivo stability makes them attractive agents for internal radiotherapy by local administeration.

Role of Aluminum Top-layer on Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes using Laminated Catalyst(Al/Fe/Al) layer (적층구조 촉매층(Al/Fe/Al)을 이용한 탄소나노튜브의 합성에서 최상층 알루미늄 층의 역할)

  • In this study, we report the synthesis of the single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs) using laminated catalyst(Al/Fe/Al) layer deposited by sputter on Si(001). SWCNTs are grown by thermal chemical vapor deposition (TCVD) method. As the results of scanning electron microscopy(SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HR-TEM) and Raman spectroscopy, we confirmed the SWCNTs bundles with narrow diameter distribution of $1.14{\sim}1.32\;nm$ and average G&D ratio of 22.76. Compare to the sample having Fe/Al catalyst layer, it can be proposed that the top-aluminum incorporated with iron catalyst plays an important role in growing process of CNTs as a agglomeration barrier of the Fe catalyst. Thus, we suggest that a proper quantity of aluminium metal incorporated in Fe catalyst induce small and uniform iron catalysts causing SWCNTs with narrow diameter distribution.

Effect of Nano-sized Calcium-silicate-hydrate (C-S-H) Crystals on Cement Hydration (나노 크기 칼슘-실리케이트-하이드레이트(C-S-H) 결정이 시멘트 수화에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • In this study, nano-sized C-S-H crystals were synthesized using the liquid phase reaction method and their properties were investigated. The synthesized C-S-H crystals were added to the cement composite in suspension form to determine their effect on the hydration properties of the cement. The amount of chemical admixture was varied to obtain nano-sized C-S-H crystals with optimal agglomerated morphology, and SEM photographs were analyzed. A cleaning process was added to remove harmful substances other than the synthesiz ed C-S-H crystals. It was found that the concentration of harmful substances was reduced in the case of C-S-H crystals subjected to the cleaning process. The synthesized C-S-H suspensions were prepared with and without the cleaning process, and cement composites were prepared with the cement weight content as the main variable. The effect of C-S-H crystals on the initial hydration properties of the cement was confirmed by microhydration heat analysis. In addition, mortar specimens were prepared to measure the compressive strength over time. The test results showed that the nano-sized C-S-H crystals act as nucleation sites in the cement paste to promote the early hydration of the cement and increase the early compressive strength.

Evaluating The Radioprotective Effect of Avocado Peel Extracts upon Rat Exposed to 6 MV X-Ray (6 MV X-ray에 피폭된 흰쥐에 대한 아보카도 껍질 추출물의 방사선방호효과 평가)

  • In this study aims to investigate the radiation protection effect of avocado peel extracts on the Sprague-Dawely rats. 52 male rats were randomly classified into 4 groups. NC Group was a normal control group, PA Group was a group injected avocado peel extracts, IR Group was irradiated group, and lastly PA+IR Group was set as an irradiated group after injected of avocado peel extracts. Avocado peel extract was administered orally at 200 mg/kg once a day for 14 days before irradiation, and the radiation dose was systemically irradiated with 6 MV X-ray of 7 Gy. On the 4 and 21 days after irradiation, the experimental animals were sacrificed to evaluate the change in blood cell composition, spleen index, and histopathological evaluation of the liver and small intestine. As a result, the PA+IR Group showed a significantly greater recovery of lymphocytes(p<0.01), red blood cells(p<0.01), and platelets(p<0.05) than the IR Group. It was also confirmed that the activation of Superoxide Dismutase(SOD) was further increased. Histopathologically, observed that nuclei aggregation and cytoplasmic expansion were slightly reduced in the PA+IR Group in the liver. and the damage was significantly reduce(p<0.01) in the change of villi length due to damage to the small intestine cells. Based on the above results, avocado peel extract can be expected to act as a radiation protection agent that can reduce damage to blood cells and major organs caused by irradiation.
