  • With the recent advancements of deep learning, companies such as smart home, healthcare, and intelligent transportation systems are utilizing its functionality to provide high-quality services for vehicle detection, emergency situation detection, and controlling energy consumption. To provide reliable services in such sensitive systems, deep learning models are required to have high accuracy. In order to develop a deep learning model for analyzing previously mentioned services, developers should utilize the state of the art deep learning models that have already been verified for higher accuracy. The developers can verify the accuracy of the referenced model by validating the model on the dataset. For this validation, the developer needs structural information to document and apply deep learning models, including metadata such as learning dataset, network architecture, and development environments. In this paper, we propose a description language that represents the network architecture of the deep learning model along with its metadata that are necessary to develop a deep learning model. Through the proposed description language, developers can easily verify the accuracy of the referenced deep learning model. Our experiments demonstrate the application scenario of a deep learning description document that focuses on the license plate recognition for the detection of illegally parked vehicles.

  • This study analyzed the recreational scuba diving regulations in Korea and other foreign countries and it proposes five changes to improve the Act On The Safety, Promotion, Etc. Of Underwater Leisure Activities in Korea. First, "recreational underwater activity participant" should be modified to refer to 'an individual or group of individuals entering into a contract with a recreational underwater activity businessperson for their own use'. Second, the person setting up the recreational underwater activity zone should be expanded to 'recreational underwater activity businessperson and/or recreational underwater activity participant'. Third, since recreational technical diving uses nitrox or mixed gas, a clause should be added that a sticker or band clearly indicating the type of gas should be attached. Fourth, a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) should be added to the diving equipment, and the daily management and maintenance of cylinders should be specified in detail. Fifth, it is necessary to specify in the Act that recreational underwater activity participants are encouraged to purchase diving insurance for their own use. In addition, for the safety of underwater activity participants, the Act must specifically state the emergency procedures and diving guidelines of a recreational underwater activity businessperson.

(2010) for identifying potentially violent patients in emergency departments. Methods: This was a prospective observational study to evaluate the usefulness of the Korean version of a BCC (K-BCC) as an assessment tool for predicting patient violence in emergency departments, and was conducted over 4 weeks in a regional emergency medical center located in B City. A total of 1,324 patients were finally analyzed. Results: Logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate whether each item of the K-BCC predicts violence, and a parsimonious set of 8 statistically significant items was selected for the tool. Receiver operating characteristic analysis of the BCC showed that the area under the curve was .97 (95% confidence interval: .94~1.0). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value at the cut-off score of 2 were 75.6%, 98.9%, 68.2%, and 99.2%, respectively. Conclusion: The K-BCC was found to be useful in predicting patient violence toward emergency department staff. This tool is simple, and fast to use and can play a significantly role identifying potentially violent patients. Owing to this advance identification, this tool can be helpful in preventing the potential for violence from manifesting as violent behaviors.

  • Development of infusion pumps enabled injecting medical substances continuously and automatically to patients in hospitals. However, in cases when patients encountered emergent situations when moving to other areas, no clear measures were taken. The problem is that even the lightest error in injecting medical substances could be critical to the patient. That is why we proposes a remote infusion monitoring system using wireless network and RFID technology in this paper. When a problem occurs in the infusion pump, the medical personnel are informed of their patients' emergent situation and location information via wireless network so not only can they swiftly and accurately provide medical services but also can prevent safety accidents due to infusion pumps.
