  • This study was performed with 5 subjects and used three kinds of music and vibroacoustic stimuli wave based upon each kinds of music. Executing music stimulation, vibro tactile and acoustic wave stimulation to human body were performed. Then measured brain waves were analyzed under each condition including before stimulation, stimulation 1, and stimulation 2. Effects by stimulation results could be studied with experiments and summarized results are followings. 1. It may be concluded that effects on brain waves by music and vibroacoustic stimulation might differ under different situations such as stimulation types with vibroacoustic equipment, human body and mental conditions when measuring, etc.. 2. During stimuli by using music A, B, and C, the effect of $\alpha$ wave, $\beta$ wave, and SMR wave power values show same tendency to the subject c but music C had very different tendency during vibroacoustic stimuli. 3. During vibroacoustic stimuli by applying the signals of music C, because SMR wave power value was continually increased with consistency comparing to Bst, this can be estimated that an application of inducing mind concentration condition would be possible under relaxed body and mind conditions. 4. To secure data significance, all measured data need to be tested statistically whether data would be interrelated or not.

  • The present paper describes the effects on human body by music and vibroacoustic stimuli. The experiments were carried out six times for 3 subjects and have investigated the electroencephalogram of all subjects against six music stimulus having vibration or non-vibration. From the experimental results, we can distinguish which musics were useful for a relexation and a reduction of stress or effective for power of concentration. We made sure that the music and the vibroacoustic stimuli have been the more effective and the more sensitive than the only music stimuli. And the close investigation and examination to the effect of acoustic vibrations will be applied for healing of a disease and so on.

  • The present study describes the effects of music and vibroacoustic stimuli to the relaxation of human body. We have carried out the experiment on 6 human subjects of which are composed 3men and 3women. We have investigated the electroencephalogram(EEG) of all subjects before and after the stimuli of which are made a strong noise or the meditatiom music and the acoustic vibration. The vibroacoustic device has transmitted meditation music as vibration between 20Hz and 250Hz to the body. From the experimental results, we made sure the effects that the meditation music and vibroacoustic stimuli influenced the stress reduction of human body for good as alpha-wave was increased continuously during the good stimuli and after that.

  • Sound effects coming with appropriate tactile stimuli can strengthen its reality. For example, gunfire in games and movies, if it is accompanied by vibrating effects, can enhance the impressiveness. On a similar principle, adding the vibration information to existing sound data file and playing sound while generating vibration effects through haptic interfaces can augment the sound experience. In this paper, we propose a method to generate vibration information by analyzing the sound. The vibration information consists of vibration patterns and the timing within a sound file. Adding the vibration information is labor-intensive if it is done manually. We propose a sound detection algorithm to search the moments when specific sounds occur in a sound file and a method to create vibration effects at those moments. The sound detection algorithm compares the frequency characteristic of specific sounds and finds the moments which have similar frequency characteristic within a sound file. The detection ratio of the algorithm was 98% for five different kinds of gunfire. We also develop a GUI based vibrating pattern editor to easily perform the sound search and vibration generation.

  • The purpose of this study was to look into changes in voice using acoustic analysis during the process of neuromuscular electrical stimulation targeting dysphagia treatment. Fifteen man with dysphagia caused by stroke was treated neuromuscular electrical stimulation for two months and intensity of voice, $F_0$, Jitter, Shimmer, NNE were measured. The results of this study that improvement in functions of dysphagia and Jitter, Shimmer were stabilized. But there was not significantly changes of $F_0$. NNE was improved after the intervention, but still showed abnormal levels. This result suggests a possibility of effects that Neuromuscular electrical stimulation has on stabilization of Jitter, Shimmer and intensity of voice.

그래서 우리는 로봇기술과 휴대폰 기술을 접목한 RCP(Robotic Cellular Phone)를 구현하려 한다.

  • This paper shows newly developed equations of cylindrical shell motion, which solutions are obtained as a set of linear equation. Each linear equation is derived along each axis of cylindrical coordinates. The admittance and the free wavenumber are obtained under assumption of point excition on a cylindrical shell. Their results are shown in figures. In this results, this paper shows a possibility that a vibration and a noise generated in a cylindrical shell can be formulated as a mathematical model.

  • This paper presents the analysis of tactile effects on different body parts according to the various vibration patterns. The experiments use a vibration pad made of 16 vibration elements in the form of $4{\times}4$ array. The vibration elements are controlled by a 8-bit microprocessor. The sound of gunshot initiates a vibration pattern on different body parts and its sensitivity is measured. The analysis of the experiments lead us to conclude that the vibration pad is the most realistic interface for shooting games and the shoulder part is the most sensitive part in the body. In addition, the most effective vibration pattern is the for the pattern which gives the sensation of spreading out from the center to the outside. This study analyzes the relationship between the human body parts and the tactile sensations by the various vibration patterns. The result of this study will be a good reference for user studies in the field of haptics based on the vibration.
