  • 현대의 성인들은 잦은 회식, 모임 등으로 과도한 음주를 하게 된다. 그러나 잦은 음주의 위험성, 음주로 인해 발생하는 각종 질병들을 잘 알지 못하는 경우가 많다. 본 절주 지원 시스템은 사용자가 절주를 할 수 있도록 관리해주고 음주와 관련된 질병, 사고, 대안정보를 제공한다. 그리고 사용자가 기록한 내용을 토대로 구글 차트를 이용해 도식화해 직관적인 정보를 제공한다. 결과적으로 과도한 음주로 인한 질병과 위험성을 경고해 줌으로써 건강한 몸을 유지할 수 있도록 도와줄 수 있다.

Drinking Habits of Employees in Farming and Fishing Communities (농어촌지역 직장인의 음주실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate drinking habits of employees and to provide basic descriptive data for effective drinking prevention programs, therapies and rehabilitation services for the health improvement of employees. Data were collected from 500 employees living in Gangwondo, from June 12 to August 25, 2010. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS 10.1 program. The mean score of positive views on alcohol was 2.93 and the mean score of negative views on alcohol was 3.18. Among alcohol abuse people who answered 'yes' on more than 2 variables out of 4 CAGE variables were 25.1% of the subjects. Problem drinkers with more than 8 points from AUDIT accounted for 64.8% of the subjects. The most common disease due to alcohol drinking was gastrointestinal tract disease. The result of this study suggests that it is necessary to maintain the atmosphere to improve drinking culture and to develop for drinking preventive educations and implementations for employees in farming and fishing communities.

  • 우리나라는 음주에 대해 비교적 관대한 정서적 문화를 가지고 있으며, 청소년 음주도 흡연이나 약물 등 다른 비행에 비교해 본다면 상대적으로 경미하다고 판단하는 경향이 있다. 그러나 청소년 음주행위는 건강에 해로운 또 다른 약물과 물질의 오ㆍ남용을 불러오는 길잡이 노릇을 하며, 정서적으로 안정되지 못하고 심리적 갈등이 유발되기 쉬운 청소년기에 흥분이나 거친 행동 등 각종 비행의 원인이 될 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 이 시기에 잘못 길들여진 음주 습관은 일생동안 계속되고, 후에 술로 인한 질병에 걸리거나 알코올 의존자가 되어 일생을 그르칠 가능성이 높다.(중략)

  • 근래에 한국의 생명보험 시장에는 주요 질병의 보장을 위한 상품들이 연일 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 그러나 이와 함께 증가될 수 있는 리스크에 대한 대비는 상대적으로 부족한 실정이다. 특히 간질환에 의한 급부발생이 타질환에 비하여 현격하게 높은 국내 실정에 맞게 언더라이팅 초점이 맞추어져야 할 필요가 있다. 간질환 유발인자로 대표적인 것은 B형 간염이지만, 과다한 알코올 섭취에 의한 간질환 역시 매해 빠른 속도로 증가하는 추세이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 알코올에 의한 질환의 종류와 이와 관련된 보험금 청구 통계, 그리고 음주로 인한 교통사고의 폐해에 대해 살펴보고, 알코올 남용자를 사전에 판별할 방법을 찾아보고자 한다. 일반적으로 알려져 있는 알코올 관련 질환으로는 지방간, 알코올성 간염, 알코올성 간경변이 있으며, 이로 인한 급부발생율은 급격히 증가하고 있다. 음주로 인한 폐해는 단순히 간질환에 그치지 않고 있으며, 교통사고의 상당수가 음주와 관련이 되어있다. 이러한 리스크에 대해 국내의 상당수 보험사들은 혈액검사를 통하여 간기능에 대한 기준을 설정하여 언더라이팅을 하고 있다. 현재 주로 시행되고 있는 간기능 검사들에 대한 정확도에 대해서는 논란이 있을 수 있다. 따라서 보다 정밀한 검사법들에 대한 연구가 필요할 것이다. 외국의 경우, 보험을 가입하고자 하는 보험 대상자들은 직업이나 흡연, 위험 취미뿐만 아니라 알코올과 관련된 일정한 양식의 질문표에 대하여 성실하게 고지하도록 하고 있다. 국내에도 알코올과 관련된 자세한 고지항목을 첨부하여, 일정 기준에 미치지 못하는 가입자에 대하여 표준미달체로 분류하여 보다 정밀한 검진을 통해 세밀한 언더라이팅이 이루어져야 하겠다. 이와 아울러, 알코올로 인한 사회적 폐해의 심각성에 대한 인식 확대를 위한 각 보험사 및 유관기관의 노력이 전개된다면, 음주에 대한 진사 절차가 수월해질 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 농어촌지역의 음주문제 관련 상담센타, 사업장 중심의 절주 프로그램이나 치료 서비스가 취약한 형편이어서 농어촌 지역 직장인의 음주문제에 대한 대책을 마련하고자 하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상자는 일 농어촌 지역에 거주하는 20세 이상의 남녀 직장인 530명을 대상으로 하였고, 설문에 동의하여 회수된 설문지는 512부였으며 이중 부실하게 응답한 12명의 자료를 제외한 500명의 자료를 최종 분석대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 2007년 6월 12일부터 2007년 8월 25일까지 시행되었으며, 설문지의 내용을 이해하며 의사소통이 가능한 자에게 본 연구의 취지를 설명하고 연구에의 참여를 동의한 대상자에게 구조화된 설문지를 이용해 자료를 수집하였다. 1. 본 연구에 참여한 대상자의 음주에 대한 인식은 긍정적 인식의 평균은 2.93, 부정적 인식의 평균은 3.18로 나타났다. 2. 음주행태에서 음주경험여부는 현재 음주자가 79.7%로 가장 많았고, 비음주자 13.1%, 과거 음주자 7.2%로 나타났다. 음주빈도는 음주경험이 있는 대상자 중 '월 2-4회 마시는 경우'가 38.2%로 가장 많았고, 평소 음주량은 '소주 10잔 이상'이 34.6%로 많았으며 '소주 3잔 이상'인 경우가 전체 대상자의 92.2%를 차지하였다. 3. 대상자의 문제음주 정도 및 특성은 전체 대상자 중 CAGE를 통해 선별된 알코올 의존자(4개 문항 중 2개 이상이 그렇다고 응답하면 알코올 의존으로 규정)의 비율이 96명(25.1%)이었고, AUDIT를 통해 선별된 문제성 음주자(8점 이상)의 비율은 241명(64.8%)으로 나타났다. 4. 대상자의 음주로 인한 질병은 위장계 질환이 31.3.%로 가장 많았다. 이상의 연구결과를 종합해볼 때, 농어촌지역 직장인의 음주문제에 관한 구체적인 해결방안으로는 음주 문화에 대한 인식개선과 산업체 중심의 절주사업이 필요하며 농어촌 직장인 중 문제음주자 및 알코올 의존자의 조기발견 및 관리를 위한 알코올중독 예방 교육 및 진단 치료에 관한 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

Drinking Culture Among Korean College Students (일개 지역 남녀 대학생들의 음주문화 실태 -일개 대학의 사례를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct a survey of general status of drinking culture among college students in Korea. Three hundred college students answered the self-administered questionnaire from May 6 to May 10 in 2009. The questionnaire consisted of drinking-related behavior by gender, recognition and need for moderation in drinking program, and the reason for stopping drinking by gender. The statistical method was done by SPSS WIN version 14.0. The first drinking time was high school comprising 41.0% of the respondents. The reason for drinking was to get the personal relationship. The experience of blackout was 50.3% in twice a year and 26.0% in twice per six months. The reasons for stopping drinking were health problem(36.9%), personal relationship(34.5%), and financial difficulty(20.8%). These results will make it possible to establish the right drinking habit, prevention of sexual violence and vehicle accident and health promotion of the students.

A Study on the Food Habits and Attitudes of Cerebrovascular Accident Patients in Daegu S Medical Center (대구 S병원 뇌졸중 환자의 생활 습관 및 식습관에 관한 조사 연구)

  • Stroke is a serious disease despite recent improvements in the medical treatments available. Thirty-six stroke patients were interviewed as case and 36 non-stroke patients were interviewed as controls between February 2005 and August 2005 at Daegu S Medical Center. Information regarding the subjects' food habits was collected using the recall method from 5 years before the onset of stroke. Using interview techniques, we investigated how dietary habits and attitude influence nutrient intake. These results were analyzed by the $X^2$, Student's t-test and Chi-square test using the SPSS 12.0 program. This case-control study was performed to demonstrate the relationships among general quality factors (BMI, WHR, and family history of stroke) and lifestyle factors (smoking, exercise and alcohol drinking). The results were as follows. Analysis of the percentage of nutrient intake in terms of meal pattern showed that WHR was significantly higher in the case group than in the control group. Hypertension and diabetes were the most common preceding diseases associated with the risk of stroke. The frequencies of smoking, alcohol consumption (p<0.001) and exercise (p<0.05) were higher in the cases than in the controls. Thus, the findings of this study are consistent with those of previous studies and suggest that people should be advised to control hypertension, smoking, alcohol drinking and obesity in order to prevent the occurrence of stroke as these factors are major risk factors for stroke.

A Study on the Relationship between Health Food and Health-Related Factors by Residence and Sex in Tong-Yeong Area (거주지역 및 성에 따른 통영지역주민의 건강식품 이용실태 및 건강관련 제요인과의 관련성)

  • In order to investigate the relationship between intake conditions of health food and health-related factors by residence and sex in Tong-Young area, a survey was carried out from 1,303 adults. Health foods were classified 3 groups including vitamin and mineral supplements, toner foods and manufactured health food supplements. Health-related factors were stress, fatigue, smoking and drinking. The $29.5\%$ of the subjects had taken some health food for health. Especially the male took more toner foods habitually than the female did. In take of vitamin and mineral supplements by residence, there was a significant difference $(p\leq0.01)$ as follows. The subjects in island $(20.0\%)$ who took vitamin/mineral supplements were about two times as compared with the subjects in Dong $(10.8\%)$, or Eub-Myeon $(10.0\%)$. The subjects taking supplementary food replied over fair $(82.8\%)$, the subjects taking toner food replied over fair (90.3$\%$) scored higher than who replied bad or very bad in self-perceived health status. Therefore, the better the subjects felt self-perceived health status, the more they took health foods for health themselves. In self-perceived stress status, the subjects who replied a little $(50.0\%,\;45.3\%)$ or little $(19.9\%,\;26.4\%)$, took vitamin and mineral supplements or manufactured health foods a lot. In toner food there was a significant correlation $(p\leq0.05)$ as follows. The less the subjects felt stress, the more they took dietry supplement. No smoker $(12.9\%)$intake rate of vitamin and mineral supplements was higher than smoker $(8.8\%)$. Smokers $(6.5\%)$ intake rate of toner food was higher than no smoker $(4.0\%)$. It was not significant the relationship between intake condition of health food and drinking. The main motivation for taking health food were by self-decision and invitation of friends or neighbors.

Estimating the Burden of Diseases due to High Alcohol Consumption in Korea: (고도음주로 인한 우리나라 국민의 질병부담 측정)

  • Objectives: This study estimated the burden of disease due to high alcohol consumption using DALY, a composite indicator recently developed by the Global Burden of Disease study group. The results were analyzed by age and sex. Methods: Firstly, high alcohol consumption-related diseases, and their relative risk (RR), were selected. Secondly, population attributable fractions (PAFs) were computed using formulae, including the relative risk (RR) and prevalence of exposure (Pe). Thirdly, the DALYs of high alcohol consumption-related diseases were estimated. Lastly, the attributable burdens of diseases due to high alcohol consumption wereconcluded as being the sum of the products that multiplied the DALYs of high alcohol consumption-related diseases by their population attributable fraction (PAF). Results : The burden of high alcohol consumption in Korea was 2992.3 person years (PYs) per 100,000 persons in men, and 1426.6 in women. For men, the high alcohol consumption-induced diseases with the five biggest burdens were liver cirrhosis, hypertensive disease, liver cancer, cerebral infarction and intracerebral hemorrhage. For women, these were cerebral infarction, intracerebral hemorrhage, hypertensive disease, liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. Conclusion: This study highlighted the attributable fraction of diseases due to exposure to high alcohol consumption, by quantifying the results of exposure to risk factors. Therefore, it is now possible to assess interventions for risk factors in quantifiable terms in each population. Finally, measuring the risk factor burdens was expected to contribute to priority setting and effective resource allocation in public health policy.

Legal Reviews and Countermeasures against Violence to 119 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) (119구급대원의 폭행피해에 대한 법적인 고찰 및 대응방안)

  • There have been various discussions to prevent violence to 119 emergency medical technicians, and the aims of the were as follow ; first, the staff dispatched to the scene should be reinforced so that the patients committing violent acts can be subdued. Secondly, self-defense devices should be provided to 119 emergency medical technicians so that they can use them in a dangerous situation and escape from it. And finally, 119 emergency medical technicians should be allowed to refuse to transport the patients when they or their guardians do violence to them in order to prevent potential violent cases. When countermeasures after violence is committed, it is important to secure evidence and determine strongly to bring charges to the offenders rather than agree to overlook the violence in order to correct them right. It is necessary to introduce a support program to help the victim technicians concentrate on their physical and mental treatment. Violence to 119 EMT should be punished so that the society will think it is natural to punish such offenders. In a safer environment, 119 EMT can perform their duties and it is very important to draw this consensus.
