Noise Sources Localization on High-Speed Trains by using a Microphone Array (마이크로폰 어레이를 이용한 고속철도 차량의 소음원 도출 연구)

  • In this paper, noise of Korean high-speed trains (KTX) running at different speed from 150 to 300km/h was measured by a microphone array system. From the measurement, relation between maximum sound pressure levels and train moving speeds of KTX was drawn and a regression coefficient from the relation was also derived. Moreover, increases of SPL with speeds of KTX were analyzed in the frequency domain. From the analysis, sound characteristics of passing-by noise of KTX were provided. Then, dominant noise source areas were obtained from the measurements and propagation patterns of KTX in vertical direction were also investigated. Finally, noise sources of KTX were identified from inspection of noise maps.

A Study on the Optimized Announcement Based Evacuation Guidance Using Haas Effect (선행음 효과를 이용한 최적의 음성피난유도음에 관한 연구)

  • In case of an emergency such as a fire on a building and there is a need to evacuate the occupant in that building, it is important to have the guidance information effectively delivered to the evacuating occupants to guide them toward a safe direction using audio sensual media. And, it is also very important to prevent the evacuating occupants getting lost or falling astray, away from the direction toward safety. The purpose of this study, in this respect, is to examine the possible application of the precedent sound effect, with which the evacuating occupants may get a sense of the direction where the announcement comes from. With such an effect, an experiment was conducted to measure the extent to which people can hear the preceding and the following sound in terms of the acoustic pressure level changes and delay time changes, with a view to make the optimal evacuation-guidance announcement or sound. The optimal evacuation guidance sound (announcement) per each of the experimental indoors environments were as follows; 1) Regarding the optimal condition for the evacuation guidance announcement sound in the space of a lecture room, the direction of the advanced sound is positively recognized when the follow-up sound has the delaying time of 10 ms~50 ms in comparison with the advanced sound or when there is no difference between the acoustic pressures of the advanced and follow-up sounds or the acoustic pressure of the advanced sound is higher than that of the follow-up sound. 2) Regarding the optimal evacuation guidance announcement sound in the space of a hall, the advanced sound is positively recognized when the follow-up sound has the delaying time of 20 ms~60 ms in comparison with the advanced sound. 3) Regarding the optimal evacuation guidance announcement sound in the space of a gymnasium, the advanced sound is positively recognized when the follow-up sound has the delaying time of 10 ms~40 ms in comparison with the advanced sound or when the sound pressure of the advanced sound has a higher level than or the same level as that of the follow-up sound.

  • Noises from ceiling mounted air-conditioning units were recorded in various actual situations such as offices, classrooms and libraries. Eight specimens of air-conditioners from major domestic and foreign manufacturers' were investigated in this study. A head and torso simulator was located 1.5 m beneath the air-conditioner panel for the measurements and sound pressure levels of the recording sounds were varied from 28 to 55 dBA with 3 dB steps for subjective evaluations. A total of 88 stimuli was randomly presented to subjects using a headphone system in semi-anechoic chamber. Two-categorized (noisiness and amenity) nine-point scale was used as evaluation method. The third scale ('point 3') among the nine-point scale was set as the threshold of allowable level of the air-conditioning sounds in consideration of the real situations. The results indicate that the allowable sound pressure level is around 34 dBA for both noisiness and amenity categories.

  • 본 연구는 아음속 충돌분류의 소음특성에 관한 연구로서 분류가 매끄러운 판(smooth plate)에 충돌 할 때 발생하는 충돌소음의 음압레벨, 지향성 그리고 음향파워 등을 구하기 위한 것이다. 연구방법은 Fig.1에서와 같이 노즐지름 d와 노즐과 평판과의 거리를 h라 할 때 노즐상류측에 있는 서지 탱크(surge tank)의 압력이 1.0atg에 도달한 상태에서 단계적으로 강하시키면서 h/d에 따른 충돌소음의 레벨을 측정하였다. 또한 탱크압력을 일정하게 유지시킨 상태에서 충돌소음의 지향성을 측정하고 음향파워를 계산하였다. 자유분류인 경우에도 같은 방법으로 측정하여 충돌음의 경우와 비교 고찰하였다.

  • 생산시설에서의 소음원은 여러 가지가 있으나 증기 방출시 발생되는 소음은 대기 중에 직접 노출되기 때문에 증기 방출시 소음저감을 위한 사이렌서의 설치가 필요하다. 스팀 사이렌서는 습기와 고온에 항상 노출되기 때문에 일반적인 흡음 및 차음재료의 사용에 제한이 있다. 본 연구에서는 스틸 울과 스틸 타공판으로 구성된 사이렌서와 사이렌서를 둘러싸는 외부 용기로 구성된 스팀 사이렌서를 대상으로 소음저감성능을 평가하였다. 스팀 방출시 소음 저감 성능을 평가하여야 하지만 사이렌서 내부에서 스팀이 방출되는 조건에서의 실험에 어려움이 있어 스팀사이렌서의 내부에 라우드 스피커와 마이크로폰을 설치하여 스팀사이렌서 내부에서 발생되는 음압레벨을 측정하였다. 또한 소음이 표면에서 1m 이격된 지점에서의 소음레벨을 측정하여 소음저감성능을 평가하였다. 소음 저감성능 평가 결과 500 Hz 이상 주파수 범위에서 약 40 dB이상의 소음저감성능을 확인하였다.

  • 당과 같은 실내 음향 문제는 강당의 사용자와 관리자의 주관적인 평가가 배제되기 힘든 것이므로 문제를 개선하기 위해 물리적 측정이나 실험, 해석 등을 통한 다각적인 정량적 분석 자료를 산출하는 과정이 선행되어야 한다 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 기존의 강당에 대한 고유 음향 특성-잔향시간, 명료도, 음압레벨-을 실험과 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻어 음향 분포를 파악하고, 현재 설치되어 있는 스피커의 지향성 및 위치 등에 따른 음향 특성을 알아보았다. 대표적인 음향평가 지수인 잔향 시간은 랜덤노이즈를 음원으로 사용하여 음향측정을 수행하였으며, 이 결과를 시뮬레이션과 비교함으로써 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 신뢰성 또한 검토하였다.

  • As the noise of ship engine room is too loud, the engineer who works in a ship engine-room has the trouble of hearing. In this paper deals the investigation of the noise of ship engine room and cabins with the internationally allowable noise exposure level and noise exposure time. Recently, the problem of engine-room noise is more serious because of shipowner wants to make small number and larger size of cylinder. Therefore, engineers work in a ship engine-room for a long time have the trouble of hearing when they are exposed the high noise level. In this study, two kinds of vessels were used to investigate the noise of engine room, engine-control room, bridge, offices and cabins. As criteria of sound levels, A-weighted sound pressure level and octave band pressure level were used.

Transmission Loss Prediction of the High Speed Railway's Wall Section (고속철도 차량 벽면의 투과손실값 예측)

  • The purpose of this study is to calculate transmission loss of the high speed railway's wall section accurately. Transmission loss measurement of ideal case i.e. the wall in the laboratory condition was carried out in first, which results were compared with those by statistical energy method. Transmission loss values of high speed railway calculated out by experimental method are compared with those from closed form solution. Commercial statistical energy analysis was also used to predict the outside pressure level using those measured transmission loss values. Simple SEA model could estimate reasonable exterior sound pressure level.

  • 최근의 야외경기장의 설계는 운동 경기 뿐만 아니라 각종이벤트 및 대형콘서트를 수용하는 다목적경기장으로 건설되어지고 있으며 지붕의 $50\%이상이 천장으로 덮히는 야외경기장의 건설이 증가하는 추세로 변화되고 있으며 이에 대한 음향장해 현상이 심각한 실정이나 이에 대한 건축음향적인 대책은 미미한 실정이다. 본 연구는 서울월드컵경기장을 중심으로 음향특성을 분석하고 음향시뮬레이션을 통하여 중요음향인자 (음압레벨, 잔향시간, 명료도)들을 분석하고 보완방법을 연구하는데 그 목적이 있다.
