The Present Situation and Challenges of the Russian Music Industry: Centered on the Digital Sound Sources (러시아 음악 산업 현황과 과제 - 디지털 음원을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the current situation and background of the Russian consumer music market, where digital music sources are making great strides in the noted recent years. In addition, music storage technology, media and change are considered together in this report. Moreover, Russia is the 12th largest music market in the world. The Russian music industry is following the recent trend of the global music industry, where the digital music market is growing rapidly on many different levels. The explosive growth of the digital sound sources in Russia's music industry is attributed to the explosive increase in available consumer downloads, streaming sound source service, and the increase in the number of digital sound sources using mobile technologies due to the development of the Internet. In particular, the sales of the available and accessible streaming sound sources are expected to grow explosively by the year 2020, which is expected to account for more than 85% of total digital music sales. In other words, the spread of smartphones and the resulting changes in the lifestyle of the Russians have created these changes for the global consumer of music. In other words, the time has come for anyone to easily access music and listen to music without a separate audio or digital player. And the fact that the Russian government's strong policy on the eradication of illegal copying of music is becoming an effective deterrent, as is also the factor that led to the increase of the share of the digital sound source to increase sales in Russia. Today, the Russian music industry is leading this change through the age and process of simply adapting to the digital age. Music is the most important element of cultural assets, and it is the beneficial content, which drives the overall growth of the digital economy. In addition, if the following five improvements(First, strengthen the consciousness of the Russian people about copyright protection; Second, utilizing the Big Data Internet resources in the digital music industry; Third, to improve the monopoly situation of digital music distributors; Fourth, distribution of fair music revenues; and Fifth, revitalization of a re-investment in the current Russian music industry) are effective and productive, Russia's role and position in the world music market is likely to expand.

A Study on the Efficient Search of an Audio Database using Musical Interval Contour (음정 곡선을 이용한 효율적인 오디오 데이터베이스 탐색에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문은 디지털 오디오 도서관에 대규모 선율 데이터베이스로부터 임의의 곡을 효율적으로 탐색하기 위하여 음정곡선을 색인키로 사용하는 방법에 대해 기술했다. 사용자가 검색하고자 하는 음악의 일부 선율을 노래하면 입력된 음신호를 인식하여 음높이 정보를 추출한다. 그리고, 음표간의 음정을 계산하여 음표순으로 배열함으로써 음정 곡선을 만든다. 제안한 은표열 탐색 알고리즘에 생성된 음정 곡선을 탐색 패턴으로 입력하여 선율 데이터베이스의 음표열을 비교 조사한다. 그러면 근사 음정 곡선을 가진 후보곡을 탐색할 수 있다. 제안한 음표열 탐색 알고리즘은 실험을 통해 동적 프로그래밍 및 상태 대조 알고리즘과 비교한 결과 탐색 시간이 2배이상 향상되었다.

  • 최근 들어 인간과 컴퓨터 상호작용 분야에서 기존의 인지적인 측면 이외에 정서의 역할에 대한 관심이 증폭되고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 사용자가 좁은 화면을 통해 정보검색을 수행 할 때 정서 상태에 따라 정보 검색 패턴이 다른지 알아보고자 하였다. 실험참가자들의 정서 상태를 인위적으로 유도하기 위해 검색과제를 수행하기 전에 긍정적인 정서와 부정적인 정서를 유발시킬 수 있는 음악을 듣게 하였고 동시에 자신의 과거 기역으로부터 긍정적인 정서 혹은 부정적인 정서를 유발 시킬 수 있는 과제를 수행하도록 하였다. 정서 유발 과정이 끝난 뒤 각 실험 참가자들은 좁은 화면을 통해 정보 탐색 과제를 수행하였다. 정보 탐색 과제는 주어진 시간 동안 제시되는 나라들에 대한 여행 정보를 검색하는 것이었고 정보 검색이 이루어지는 동안 소요된 시간 및 검색 페이지 링크가 기록되었다. 실험결과 긍정적인 정서상태에서는 중립 상태와 부정적인 정서 상태에 비해서 보다 광범위하고 빠른 정보검색이 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다.

Speech/Music Signal Classification Based on Spectrum Flux and MFCC For Audio Coder (오디오 부호화기를 위한 스펙트럼 변화 및 MFCC 기반 음성/음악 신호 분류)

  • In this paper, we propose an open-loop algorithm to classify speech and music signals using the spectral flux parameters and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC) parameters for the audio coder. To increase responsiveness, the MFCC was used as a short-term feature parameter and spectral fluxes were used as a long-term feature parameters to improve accuracy. The overall voice/music signal classification decision is made by combining the short-term classification method and the long-term classification method. The Gaussian Mixed Model (GMM) was used for pattern recognition and the optimal GMM parameters were extracted using the Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm. The proposed long-term and short-term combined speech/music signal classification method showed an average classification error rate of 1.5% on various audio sound sources, and improved the classification error rate by 0.9% compared to the short-term single classification method and 0.6% compared to the long-term single classification method. The proposed speech/music signal classification method was able to improve the classification error rate performance by 9.1% in percussion music signals with attacks and 5.8% in voice signals compared to the Unified Speech Audio Coding (USAC) audio classification method.

The Study on the BTS's Fashion Style (방탄소년단의 패션 스타일에 관한 연구)

  • BTS has established itself as a leading Korean popular music group in the global mainstream music market. In addition, BTS's fashion style is receiving so much attention that it is featured in the social networks of foreign media and the public. The purpose of this study considers BTS' fashion trends based on the analysis of their fashion styles. The methods and scope of this study have been combined with theoretical studies related to the fashion impact of BTS and BTS, as well as content analysis studies based on the image of BTS over the last five years. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that they pursue classic and modern styles through suits that emphasize straight silhouettes, the use of achromatic colors, and simplified decorations. Second, it has been shown that BTS prefers a casual style of free-spirited and comfortable sensibility by matching a jacket with a round shoulder line, toned-down skinny jeans, hood T-shirts, lettering patterns, and vivid colors. Third, BTS pursues a dynamic and active sporty style by utilizing the sleeveless basketball shirts, round neckline baseball shirts and shorts, training pants, and overfit sweatshirts with an emphasis on lettering patterns.

A Study on Orchestration in "Battle for The Glory" out of the Background Music in the Animation "Dragon Quest IV" (애니메이션 "드래곤 퀘스트 IV"의 배경음악 중 "Battle for The Glory"에 나타난 관현악법 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find a system and a progression principle in orchestral piece based on the outcome after comparatively analyzing the orchestral operation technique in "Battle for The Glory" out of the background music in the animation "Dragon Quest IV" by Koichi Sugiyama(1931~), who is a leading runner of Japan's animation music, based on functional parts daccord & Instrumentation Pattern, Rhythm Pattern, Voicing Pattern, and harmonic ratio by progression section devised by the writer. As a result, first, five themes in this music have specific instrumentation pattern, respectively. In a passage that is shown exposition, reprise, and representation in theme, the unity was emphasized by maintaining the same instrumentation pattern. On the contrary to this, a passage of being suggested new theme is being used the exchange method and addition & subtraction in musical instrument in order to strengthen diversity. Second, the voicing pattern is forming the vertical contrasting relationship of "thinness-thickness" on the whole. However, the diversity is being intensified that is changed into the structure of "thickness-thinness" in the third theme and of "thinness-thickness" that has two melodies in the fourth theme. Third, the rhythm pattern is forming the vertical contrasting relationship of "big-small" on the whole. However, the fifth theme is being given diversity with being changed into the structure of "small-big." Fourth, the harmony by progression section from the horizontal perspective is shown to be high in the proportion of unity in the section of being repeated and represented the theme and to be high in the proportion of diversity in the section of being suggested new theme. In this study, the balanced orchestral operation technique through the operation technique, which was used in this work, is what extracts the relationship of diverse proportions in the horizontal progression section based on the technique of vertical perspective. In this aspect, this analytical study is desired to be positioned as a new paradigm in establishing a theoretical system and an educational method in orchestration.

  • With the development of information and communication technology, various methods have been tried to provide learners with a fun educational environment through fun and interest. It is a good example to utilize technologies such as games and robots in education for edutainment and game-based learning. In this study, we propose an intelligent rhythm education system using user data collection and analysis for humanoid robot rhythm generation. To do this, the user selects music and inputs rhythm information according to the selected music. The robot utilization data of this user extracts patterns through collection and analysis. Patterns are based on frequency, and FFT similarity comparison method is applied when past data is insufficient. The proposed method is validated through experiments of kindergarten children.

Experimental testing decide to make relaxed condition. so It want to get correct data peoples different time and condition in the day so medical mans think relaxed to low Heart rate. but normal heart different from peoples and time. there was noting standard. so Heart rate is really hard to relaxed heart rate. Heart rate pattern must have long time analysis for good result. if you get relaxed heart rate so you don't need long-time analysis. Relaxed heart pattern used for guidance of auditory impulse public got concentration and solve to stress. it chose MC Square and mozart music. Two kind of auditory impulse analysis to make a relaxed Heart rate and relaxed pattern. way of analysis is HRV and minute of heart bit rate. result It have find Guidance to Relaxed Heart rate.

  • Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, TOTO, SpyroGyra, are a few examples of Halftime Shuffle Groove. This paper studies Halftime Shuffle Groove. Based on the performance examples, this paper compares and analyzes each representative song to examine the concise yet quite different way of playing rhythm patterns through music score, wave sound source, and so on. It is very important to analyze and study the rhythm of world-renowned musicians and to explore the diversity of modern rhythmic patterns more efficiently in contemporary music. This paper analyzes Halftime Shuffle Grooves and rhythms with their properties to investigate various possibilities that do not narrow the mechanized rhythm.

Detecting Prominent Content in Unstructured Audio using Intensity-based Attack/release Patterns (발생/소멸 패턴을 이용한 비정형 혼합 오디오의 주성분 검출)

  • Defining the concept of prominent audio content as the most informative audio content from the users' perspective within a given unstructured audio segment, we propose a simple but robust intensity-based attack/release pattern features to detect the prominent audio content. We also propose a web-based annotation procedure to retrieve users' subjective perception and annotated 18 hours of video clips across various genres, such as cartoon, movie, news, etc. The experiments with a linear classification method whose models are trained for speech, music, and sound effect demonstrate promising - but varying across the genres of programs - results (e.g., 86.7% weighted accuracy for speech-oriented talk shows and 49.3% weighted accuracy for {action movies}).
