Recently, as TV home shopping has entered into the stage of stability, competition between the same lines of business has become more intense. Thus, this research goals have been determined in order to analyze the purchase intent of customers related with the genre and tempo of background music of TV home shopping by different types of products. In order to achieve the research goals, thorough research on related literatures have been conducted and found out about the background music. Furthermore, the characteristics of background music of actual TV home shopping broadcasting have been analyzed, focusing on the genre and tempo of the music. In addition, a survey has been conducted in order to verify what kind of music genre and tempo of the background music has an influence on the highest purchase intent of the chosen three products(sportswear, household appliances, fresh and processed foods). This study investigated the influence of background music of TV home shopping in relation to the purchase intent of customers. Also, this study has significance in the sense that it analyzed the causal relationship between the background music of home shopping and reactions of customers by categorizing products in details and using the music genre and tempo as the independent variables that affect the purchase intent of customers.

This study selected representative musical song genres and suggested the application of vocal scales to demonstrate the various musical genres that appear in the modern musical style. Various genres of music and singing methods appeared according to the change in musical style throughout the early period (the early 1990s), the Golden Age (1940s to1960s), and the contemporary period (1970s to present) of musical theatre. To this end, this study selected Classic Broadway, Contemporary Broadway, Jazz/Blues, and Pop/Rock as representative musical genres as primary categories. In addition, five musicals and five songs that can represent the musical genres were selected as secondary categories. This study then divided the singing styles into Legit from , Pop from , Rock from , Jazz/Blues from , and Hip Hop/Rap from and suggested vocal scales. The analysis of this study demonstrated how various music was used as a material for musicals responding to the needs of the times in musical history and how important it is to develop various singing styles. While this study selected five representative genres and musicals to limit the scope of analysis, it intends to expand the scope through follow-up research. Based on this, it is anticipated that various further research will be conducted to study the diversity of musical vocal education and vocal techniques.

본 논문은 K-Pop 디지털 음원 서비스에 활용 가능한 음악 정보 (Music Information)를 기술하기 위한 Music Description 중 K-Pop Genre Description에 대한 연구이다. 본 연구는 K-Pop 상용화 서비스에 활용하기 위한 음악 장르 분류를 제안하였다. 기존에 서비스되고 있는 K-Pop 디지털 음원 포털의 음원 분류를 체계적으로 분석한 결과를 통하여, 상용화에 가장 적합한 K-Pop 음악 분류 서비스를 위한 장르 체계를 제안하고 있다. 또한, TV-anytime 등 국제적 상용화 및 표준화에 적용된 기존의 장르 분류들과의 매핑을 통하여 확장 및 공유가 가능한 형태의 새로운 장르 분류체계 관리를 위한 메타데이터 규격을 제안하고 있다.

This study analyzes Cho, Yong- Pil's contribution on K-Pop history as he celebrates the 50th anniversary of his debut. The history of K-Pop, when Cho has been active in, is divided into three periods. From the late 1960s to the early 1980s was a period when trots and rocks were popular. Soft rock, heavy metal, and ballads came in from the mid-1980s to the early 2000s. From the late 2000s to the present, dance music, mostly hook songs, has dominated. In every inflection point of K-Pop history, he contributed to the development throughout various musical genres. In the first period, he introduced rock music with the unique emotion of Korea by combining the trot and the rock genre. In the second period, he contributed to the development of both rock and ballad genres. In the third period, his hook songs were released to the controversy, but it contributed to creating an atmosphere in which the vocal ability of the vocalist in idol groups was emphasized in the K-pop scene.

The purpose of this study is the suggestion of tempos and genres to make a effective mood in a hotel and restaurant. As a result of this study, it was verified which genre and tempo is the most effective at each case of various restaurant. The result of this study shows that the genres and tempos of background music effect to a mood of customer, and a satisfaction related to a return visit and a recommendation. This paper offer a useful method when a manager want to change a ambience of business place. For example, a manager will be able to choose a change of background music instead of remodeling requiring much money. At the other case, a manager will be able to maximize a expression effect of business concept as following the suggestion of this study. This thesis suggests how a managers can simultaneously achieve a customer's satisfaction and a financial benefit by selection of music.

The purpose of this study is to examine the musical preference of autistic children. Based on the written responses of the questionnaire from mothers, therapists and teachers of 60 autistic children the music preference of the autistic children were analyzed. The results showed that the autistic children prefer music listening rather than playing or singing. The keyboard and piano are the most preferred instruments by these children. In music genre they prefer children's song and commercial music. Though they all have language disorder, they have a strong tendency toward music with text. It was also found that there is a relationship between music preference and behavior. The hyperactive and oppositional children have a tendency to enjoy more stimulative music compared to other autistic children.

Research that implements the classification process through Deep Learning algorithm, one of the outstanding human abilities, includes a unimodal model, a multi-modal model, and a multi-modal method using music videos. In this study, the results were better by suggesting a system to analyze each song's spectrum into short samples and vote for the results. Among Deep Learning algorithms, CNN showed superior performance in the category of music genre compared to RNN, and improved performance when CNN and RNN were applied together. The system of voting for each CNN result by Deep Learning a short sample of music showed better results than the previous model and the model with Softmax layer added to the model performed best. The need for the explosive growth of digital media and the automatic classification of music genres in numerous streaming services is increasing. Future research will need to reduce the proportion of undifferentiated songs and develop algorithms for the last category classification of undivided songs.

Mobile music market is growing. However, services what are applied recently are inaccurate to recommend music that a user is worth to prefer. So, this paper suggests music recommend system. This system recommend music that users prefer analyzing music information and user's musical propensity and using collaborative filtering. This system classify genre and extract factors what can be get using STFT's ZCR, Spectral roll-off, Spectral flux. So similar musics are clustered by these factors. And then, after divide mood of music's lyric, it finally recommend music automatically using collaborative filtering.

Since stress can cause a variety of diseases, the relaxation of stress is an important factor for preventing diseases. One way to relieve stress is to use auditory or visual materials. If auditory and visual ones are used together, the effect of stress relaxation will be maximized. In this context, we analyze mood distribution of genre of music and color distribution of mood from the mood data for musics and color data for mood words collected directly from volunteers. Based on these two distributions, we also perform the $X^2$-test with Minitab for checking that color distributions are different from genre to genre. The results show that a different genre has a different color distribution and that the distributions of color, brightness and saturation depend on mood (P<0.0001). The results will be used to develop an emotional lighting system which plays lighting according to music mood, which can be applied to psychotherapy but more data and analysis are needed for clinical trials.
