본 논문은 음악과 감성에 대한 논문이며 다양한 인간의 감성 중 어두운 감성에 대한 연구이다. 이에 따른 가사에 대한 감성표현과 음악적 요소를 활용한 감성표현의 효과적인 방법에 대해 연구하였으며, 어두운 감성을 표현하기 위하여 다양한 요소들이 발견되었다.

Music has a vital meaning in peoples' lives, mostly as a communication medium for thoughts and feelings. Because music is nonthreatening and nonjudgmental, its viability works for everyone. The purpose of this research is firstly to compare the effectiveness of existing social rehabilitation program and music integrated social rehabilitation program for people with mental retardation. Secondly, the study purported to find out if the music integrated social rehabilitation program was effective, then how various musical activities can assist communication and expression, and further assist social interactions among the people with mental retardation. The data were collected using Emotions Assessment Tool, Social Skills Assessment, and Skills development in Music were used. Also, verbal contents, voices, gestures, nonverbal expressions were observed and analyzed. As the result, it is shown that the music integrated social rehabilitation program has enhanced communicative and expressive skills of adults with mental retardation, and further improved social interactive skills. This implies that music had positive effects to the mental patients on their social relationship activities, than the program without music integration. The results support previous findings that music can be an effective communicative and expression tool.

The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated early childhood music education program using storytelling songs and to examine its possible effects by analyzing musical expression ability, language expression ability and creativity. In order to verify the effect of the program developed in the study, 68 4-year old preschoolers were selected from 2 preschools to be divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was given the integrated music education program 16 times in total (two times a week for 8 weeks). The data were analyzed by t-test. The results of this study were : First, it was found that the integrated early childhood music education program using storytelling songs had a positive effect on children's musical expression ability and linguistic expression ability. Second, it was found that the integrated early childhood music education program using storytelling songs had a positive influence among the sub-areas of creativity.

영화는 시청각 예술이고 다양한 시청각적 기법을 활용하여 영화에서 이야기하고자 하는 주제를 전달한다. 형체가 없는 이야기는 시각과 청각을 통해 형상화되고 그 과정에서 나타나는 등장인물의 심리변화 역시 시청각적 도구를 활용해 표현할 수 있다. 본고에서는 영화 "펀치 드렁크 러브"를 연구대상으로 삼아 영화에서 숨겨진 심리를 표현하기 위한 음악적 기법 중 하나인 라이트모티브(Leitmotiv)를 통한 표현기법을 고찰한다. 이는 영화음악에서 인물 심리의 상징적인 표현에 대한 예시와 관점을 제시한다.

각 나라마다 고유한 음악이 있으며 또한 그 음악을 표현하는 전통적인 방식이 존재한다. ㄱ러나 서양음악의 도입으로 우리음악의 표현까지도 서양화가 되어있다. 전통음악을 원형대로 보존하기 위해서는 선조들이 사용하였던 기보법을 사용하는 것이 올바른 일이라고 여겨지므로, 우리나라의 전통악보 중 그 우수성이 인정되는 정간보를 컴퓨터를 통하여 편리하게 처리 할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 정간보에는 악기마다 서로 다른 표현 방법들이 존재하므로, 이번 시스템은 그 중에서 단소를 위한 처리를 주된 목표로, 컴퓨터를 이용한 기보법과 오선보로의 변환, 그리고 마디신호로의 변환과 연주를 중점으로 개발하였다.

The film is an audiovisual art and conveys stories using various audiovisual techniques. Among the auditory elements, music has a wide variety of expressive techniques, a wide range of applications, and is sometimes used as a proprietary tool to convey stories. This study examines the musical expression technique for expressing the psychology of the character in the film by using the movie "Punch Drunk Love" as a subject of study. We study the use of music used to reveal meaning that does not appear on the screen in the film story flow, which is a tool to create the hidden meaning of the person's inner psychology and situation. This provides an example and perspective of the contrast and symbolic expression of character psychology in film music.

정서 전달에는 언어적 의사소통뿐만 아니라 비언어적 의사소통이 거론되곤 한다. 하지만 지금까지의 비언어적 의사소통 연구는 대부분 언어의 음향학적 연구나 얼굴표정 연구에 국한되었다. 또한 음악의 정서에 대한 연구는 음악적 구조 혹은 스타일과 여러 성격적 특질 및 행동 간의 관계, 혹은 생리적 효과 등 어떤 음악(what music)이 특정한 효과를 일으키느냐에 중점을 두고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Gabrielsson & Juslin(1996)의 연구에 의거, 음악을 통하여 작곡가가 아닌 연주자의 의도된 정서가 청자에게 얼마나 잘 지각될 수 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 봉 녕구의 가설은 다음과 같다; 첫째, 연주자의 정서적 의도는 음악의 모든 물리적 변인에 영향을 준다; 둘째, 청자는 의도된 정서를 지각하는 데 일반적으로 성공적이다; 셋째, 특정 정서는 다른 정서보다 더 잘 구분된다. 본 연구에 사용된 곡은 학습 효과를 배제하기 위하여 새롭게 전문 작곡가에 의해 작곡되었으며, 전문 연주자는 동일한 곡을 7종류의 정서(행복한, 슬픈, 화난, 두려운, 다정한, 엄숙한, 정서 표현 없음)를 표현하도록 연주하였다. 하나의 완전한 음악을 표현하기 위하여 각 곡은 멜로디(악기구성: 일렉트릭 기타, 베이스, 그랜드 피아노)와 리듬(드럼)을 포함하였다. 실험참가자는 각 곡을 듣고 7개의 정서 종류 각각에 점수를 평정하였다. 그 결과 이전 연구와 마찬가지로 청자는 연주자의 의도된 정서를 일반적으로 지각하는 데 성공하였으며 7개의 정서 중 특징적인 정서("행복한", "슬픈", "화난", "다정한") 는 다른 정서 보다 더 잘 구별되었다. 본 연구에 사용된 "두려운" 정서 곡의 음향분석 결과 소리 강도의 큰 변산이 특징이었다. 이는 이전 연구에서 "두려운" 정서의 특징인 타이밍의 큰 변산과 함께, "두려운" 정서가 '불규칙적이거나 변화가 커서 예측하기 어려운' 속성을 지니고 있음을 시사한다. 또한 "다정한" 정서에 대해서 본 연구에서는 다른 모든 정서와 유의미한 차이를 보인 반면, 이전 연구에서는 "슬픈"과 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 이는 본 연구에 쓰인 "다정한" 정서의 곡은 리듬 패턴을 다른 정서 버전과는 다르게 보사노바 리듬을 사용하였다. 이전 연구와는 다르게 빠른 템포였음에도 불구하고 구별이 잘 된 이유는 이와 같이 장르 특징적인 영향이 컸기 때문이라고 할 수 있다. 이는 연주자나 음악 스타일 자체의 성격이 정서 판단에 있어 큰 영향을 준다는 사실을 시사한다. 종합적으로 음악을 통한 정서 전달에 있어 연주자, 청자, 악기, 음악 스타일의 차이가 영향을 줄 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였으며 이러한 결과는 Scherer & Oshinsky(1977)가 언급하였듯 음악 연주가 다른 비언어적 의사소통 방법과 공유하는 특징이 있음을 시사한다.

This paper describes an analysis of the music as a time series and the fuzzy logic-based modeling of it. All music is made up of a finite number of musical notations known as the musical symbols, such as clefs, staff, tine signature, notes, rests, etc. . The musical score uses musical symbols to present various characteristics, such as rhythm, melody, chord, etc,. for interpreting the music. In this paper, it is possible to transform the beat and pitch in the musical into time series from the viewpoint of recognizing beat and pitch of sounding tone at each time. On the basis of the identified features of the musical score, a musical score is represented as a time series and then is constructed to fuzzy logic-based model for predicting them. Examples are presented to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.

Mathematics(group theory, in particular) makes it partially possible to present and create music and patterns. This means that patterns can be presented by music through mathematics. In this work, we first produce musical piece for each type of frieze patterns. Based on the musical pieces, we compose a music presenting the combined pattern of all frieze types. We finally produce a video for hearing design through music. Through a QR-code, anyone can access the product of this work. The results of this research might be examples for integration of mathematics and arts and for utilizing smart circumstances.

향수나 음악과 같은 감성적 매체는 자신의 개성을 드러내는 좋은 수단이 된다. 그러나 이들은 그것을 사용하는 사용자와 1:1로 대응하지는 못한다. 예를 들어 내가 사용하는 휴대폰 컬러링은 다른 사람도 사용할 수 있다. 그러나 '이름'이나 '생일'과 같은 개인 정보를 이용하여 음악을 만든다면 그것은 자신만의 음악이 되고, 한 개인을 표현할 수 있는 수단이 된다. 이 논문은 '이름'과 같은 개인 정보를 음악으로 만드는 방법에 대한 연구이다. 정보를 음악으로 바꾸는 매개체로는 '한글'의 문자 체계를 이용하였다. 한글은 초성, 중성, 종성의 구분이 명확하고, '천,지,인(天,地,人)'을 바탕으로 만든 모음만으로도 3가지 적용방법을 이끌어 낼 수 있기 때문에, 자모의 구분 정도만 있는 다른 문자에 비해 정보 표현력 면에서 우월하다고 볼 수 있다. 정보에서 음악으로 단순히 '변환'하기 위해서는, 한글이 갖고 있는 여러 특징을 음악에 필요한 요소로 대치시켰고, 이를 음악적으로 완성도 있게 만들기 위해서는, 변환하는 규칙을 '화성법'에 근거하여 적용하였다. 이 방법으로 사용자가 '원하는 음악'을 만들지는 못하겠지만, identity를 표현하는 수단으로는 충분한 역할을 할 수 있을 것이다.
