  • 디지털 카메라의 보급과 U.C.C. 개념의 등장으로 인하여 개인이 생산하는 사진의 양도 많아지고, 이를 감상하는 시간도 많아졌다. 사진이란 추억을 회상하는데 하나의 포인트 역할을 하는 매체이다. 따라서 인간의 감성적인 부분을 많이 자극되는데, 이 과정에서 추가적인 자극을 줌으로써 사용자의 감성을 더욱 자극할 수 있다. 하지만, 기존의 연구들은 디지털 사진을 검색하고 관리하는데 초점이 맞추어져 있었다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 사진 앨범을 감상할 때에 개별 사진을 분석하여 전체 사진과 가장 잘 어울리는 배경음악을 추천/재생하는 ListenPhoto 시스템을 제안한다. 그리고, 시스템의 필요성에 대한 평가와 시스템 성능에 대한 평가 두 부분으로 나누어 평가를 진행하였다. 사용자들은 이 시스템을 통하여 풍부하게 디지털 사진 생활을 즐길 수 있게 될 것이다.

  • 객관화된 메타정보를 이용하는 검색방법과는 다르게 내용기반 검색에서는 전처리된 데이터가 동일하지 않을 수 있다는 문제점이 있다. 특히 디지털 음악데이터의 경우 인코딩과정을 거칠 때마다 미세하지만 파형의 변화가 생긴다. 이러한 변형은 타임코드를 쉬프트 시켜 동일한 데이터 검색에 어려움을 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 음악의 시작점을 검출 할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 사람이 소리를 인지하는 원리는 공기가 진동하여 청각기관을 자극하기 때문이며 공기의 진동은 파동을 형성한다. 파동을 구성하는 최소파형모형의 존재 여부를 검사하여 음악의 시작점을 검출하였다. 녹음환경 및 디지털 압축 과정으로 음을 구성하는 파형에 노이즈가 포함될 경우 음악의 시작점 검출에 방해 요인이 된다. 노이즈의 영향을 받지 않고 음악의 시작점을 검출하기 위해 노이즈가 포함된 파형의 특징을 분류하고, 이 분류를 예외 조건을 두어 해결하였다. 제안한 방법의 성능을 측정하기 위해 600개의 음원을 실험 하였으며 86%의 일치율을 보였다.

The Effects of Auditory Stimulus Using Music on Unilateral Neglect in Patients With Stroke: A single-subject design (음악을 통한 청각자극이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 편측무시에 미치는 영향: 단일대상연구)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of auditory stimulus using music on unilateral neglect in patients with stroke. Methods : This study used a single subject (ABA) design. The subject who showed unilateral neglect caused by stroke received auditory stimulus using music for 60 minutes per sessions. A total of 20 sessions were conducted. The unilateral neglect was measured by the Star cancellation test and Line bisection test during each session, and Catherine Bergego Scale was used to evaluate the degree of unilateral neglect in daily life pre-and post-test. Also, Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule was used to test subject's emotional status. Results : During the intervention period, the results of the Star cancellation test and Line bisection test showed the trend of reduction of unilateral neglect symptom and the effects of intervention were maintained after intervention. After intervention, the results of CBS indicated decreased unilateral neglect symptom in activities of daily living and the results of PANAS indicated increased positive affect. Conclusions : The result of this study indicate that auditory stimulus has a positive effect on the unilateral neglect, and may be considered as alternative choice in clinical occupational therapy for reducing unilateral neglect.

The Ability of Auditory Stimuli to Mask Siren Sounds in a Vehicle Graphic Simulator (자동차 그래픽 시뮬레이터에서 사이렌 소리 자극에 따른 청각 자극의 마스킹 효과)

  • We examined previous studies of the correlation analysis of heart rate variability as a method to reduce the stress caused by outside noise during driving, and we investigated whether there are electrocardiographic changes when drivers play music, which provides a stable sound source amid the noise. Because the number of cars increases every year, drivers and passengers show an increase in stress caused by outside noise. The stress from outside noise while a person is driving can cause several disorders, such as anxiety, immunosuppression, depression, and heart disease. Subjects in this study operated a vehicle simulator to reduce the stress from outside noise and were given different auditory stimuli, and we studied the drivers' responses to the stimuli. Repeated-measures analysis of variance revealed a significant differences between subjects exposed to different auditory stimuli (ρ < 0.05). Through post hoc analyses, we examined these differences. We found significant differences between factor 1 (stability) and factor 2 (simulation driving), between factor 1 (stability) and factor 3 (driving + police siren), and between factor 1 (stability) and factor 4 (driving + police siren + music). In addition, the factor that produced the highest level of sympathetic nervous system activity was factor 4 (driving + police siren + music), followed by factor 3 (driving + police siren), factor 2 (driving), and factor 1 (stability). In conclusion, even when a police siren was heard during driving, there were no significant differences on electrocardiograms (ECGs). In addition, even when the siren was heard over the music, there was no difference on the ECGs (ρ < 0.01). In future studies, investigators should determine which types of music help stabilize the heart rate during driving.

The effect of restaurant in-store color and music congruency on customer's emotional responses and behavioral intentions (레스토랑 실내의 색채와 배경 음악의 조화가 고객의 감정적 반응 및 행동 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was aimed to investigate the effects of restaurant in-store color and music congruency on consumer's emotional responses and behavioral intentions. The web survey was conducted among 400 customers(aged from 20~39 years old) who lived in Seoul and Kyunggi, Incheon Province. To find ensemble effect of color and music, 3D studio MAX were used to make high-stimulus(exciting) and low-stimulus(calm) and 3D virtual reality restaurant simulation stimulus were applied. The statistical data analyses were performed using SPSS/WIN 18.0 and reliability analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis were used. Based on the result of the conducting factor analysis, emotional responses were classified into 2 factors: positive emotion and negative emotion. Satisfaction was classified into 1 factor: satisfaction. Loyalty was classified into 1 factor: loyalty. Cronbach's alpha was calculated for the reliability of the survey instrument. Consequently, restaurant in-store color and music congruency were shown to affect positive emotion and negative emotion. Positive emotion and negative emotion were shown to affect satisfaction. Satisfaction were shown to affect loyalty. Music congruency had a higher effect on positive emotion than color congruency. Color congruency had a higher effect on negative emotion than music congruency. The results of this study will serve as a basis of color and music congruency with restaurant atmospherics.

  • The positive effect of percussion instruments can induce increases in self-esteem and decreases in depression in the elderly. Based on this, the content for a percussion instrument robot that the elderly can use to play music is developed. The elements of the interaction between the elderly and the robot through the robot content are extracted. Music that arouses positive memories in the elderly is selected as part of the music therapy robot content in order to relieve depression, and a scoring system for playing music is constructed. In addition, the interaction components of the robot's facial expressions, which stimulate emotions and sensitivity in the elderly, are also designed. These components enable the elderly to take an active part in using the instrument to change the robot's facial expressions, which have three degrees of emotion: neutral-happy, happy, and very happy. The robot is not only a music game machine: it also maximizes the relief of depression in the elderly through interactions with the robot that allow the elderly person to listen to what the robot plays and through the elderly person becoming involved and playing music along with the robot.

  • 현재 인간의 감성표현을 위한 수단중의 하나인 음악이 인간의 감성반응을 자극하는데 어떠한 역할과 기능을 하는가에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 창작자 입장에서 감성 표현 시 음악의 요소들이 어떻게 활용되는지를 분석하고 각 의도된 정서 및 요소가 청취자의 감성반응으로 나타나는지를 연구하였다. 대표적인 음원 사이트인 네이버, 멜론, 엠넷에서 두 달 이상 5위안에 랭크된 곡들을 선정하였다. 선전된 각 곡들을 음악 전문가집단 대상에게 설문 조사하여 각 곡에 사용된 음악적 특징과 분석하고 각 요소 별 감성을 수집하여 연구 분석하였다. 이러한 연구를 토대로 창작자가 의도하는 감성과 청취자의 감성 반응에 대한 상관관계를 밝히는데 유용한 자료가 될 것이다.

The Effects of Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation (RAS) on Hemiplegia Patient' Gait (리듬적 청각자극이 편마비환자들의 보행에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS), one of music therapy techniques for neurological rehabilitation, affects the factors of hemiplegia patients' turning gait and straight gait. This study is designed to compare elimination and intervention of music therapy for 4 weeks with repeated measure plan and measure factors are classified into 21 sub-factors. The subjects of this study were 4 patients who need walking training and they were requested by physical therapist a march and a lied were used to cure them by a researcher. Each session was composed of warming up, RAS gait training, ending. The music used for RAS gait training was provided with speed which was set to patient's own gait speed measured before music therapy. The speed was provided fast gradually and each session was proceeded for 50 minutes. The results of this study showed that walking abilities increase in the segments with music therapy (B) compared to those in the segment without music therapy (A), and this supports the previous report that the application of music therapy together with other treatments has a positive effect on improvement in the patient's walking abilities. In addition, this study is meaningful in that it demonstrated that RAS music therapy is helpful to improve walking abilities not only in straight gait but also in turning gait.

  • 본 연구는 예술심리치료 및 심상유도의 접근을 통해 영상치료로서의 시각적, 청각적 표현 범위와 치료요소를 찾는데 목적을 두고 있다. 현재 인간의 사회 활동 중에 생기는 정신적 육체적 스트레스를 예방 및 해소하기 위해 이루어지는 치료 활동 중 영상을 이용한 심리치료의 노력이 다방면으로 행해지고 있다. 치료의 형태는 주로 예술심리치료에 속하는 이미지와 기능음악, 클래식 등을 결합한 영상과 음향의 복합적 활용 방식이 주를 이루고 있다. 그러나 이는 치료적 요소에 초점을 두고 체계적인 제작이 되지 앉아 심리치료의 한계를 드러내고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 먼저 기존의 병원, 테라피 공간 및 공공장소에서 일반인을 대상으로 행해지고 있는 영상심리치료의 현황을 파악하고, 행해지는 치료 형태 분류를 통해 색채.미술심리치료에서 사용되어지는 이미지 활용과 음악치료 기법 중 GIM(Guided Imagery and music: 음악과 심상유도) 활용을 중심으로 일반인을 대상으로 하여 실험연구를 진행하였다. 실험 대상물은 영상이미지와 음향의 두 가지 자극이 복합되어 혹은 단일의 자극으로 주어지는 경우를 구분하여 정서적 반응을 조사하고, 전반적인 치료영상에 대한 선호도 조사를 통해 긍정적 정서를 불러일으키는 이미지 및 음향 요소를 도출한다. 이는 향후 영상심리치료의 체계적인 가이드라인 제작과 평가 척도 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

An Effect of the Prefrontal Lobe Influenced by Game Music Mixed with White Noise (백색잡음을 혼합한 게임음악이 전전두엽에 미치는 영향)

  • The sound of digital media would be able to perform communication by stimulating body's senses. Because the sound stimuli could arouse a person into the physiological excitement and sensitivity, which appear as the changes of heartbeat, blood pressure, brain waves(EEG) signals. In this paper, we would like to examine whether the game music mixed with relaxing white noises has an effect to relax game player or not through the EEG changes of game players. For the experiment, we divided game players into group A that plays game while hearing game music mixed with white noises, and group B that plays game while hearing game music not mixed. And we measured the EEG changes of the prefrontal lobe between two groups. The result shows that the game music mixed with white noises has an relaxing effect for the left brain, but fall short of the expectations for the right brain. It would be a basic research which will contribute to the development of serious games for psychotherapy using relaxing white noises.
