Optimization of the preparation method of citron (Citrus junos Sieb.) beverage containing hibiscus using response surface methodology (반응표면 분석법을 이용한 히비스커스 첨가 유자 음료 제조의 최적화)

  • This study aimed to optimize the preparation method of citron (Citrus junos Sieb.) beverages with hibiscus using response surface methodology (RSM). The experimental conditions were established using a central composite design with three independent variables as follows: ratios of citron (40~60%), citric acid (0.34~0.94%), and hibiscus (0.3~0.7%). The results indicate that an increase in the citron ratio contributed to increased sweetness and as the concentration of citron and hibiscus increased, the brightness of the citron beverage decreased and the yellowness increased. The citron ratio showed a significant correlation with the ABTS radical scavenging capacity. Among the 15 experimental groups, 4 representative samples showing statistical significance were selected, and sensory tests were performed, in comparison with commercially available products. As a result of the sensory test, four beverages prepared with the selected recipes showed higher preference than commercial beverages, and optimal recipe conditions were 40% citron, 0.34% citric acid, and 0.5% hibiscus.

  • In five varietes of Citrus junos sieb grown in different area in Korea, the general components, total acids and inorganic components were calculated and compared with one other. In the orchard soils, the physical and chemical properties were studied. The results are summarized as follow: 1. Generally, the rind was weighter than tile flesh compared with the other fruits and the proportion of the rind was 49%. 2. Total contents of organic acids in rind and flesh were 12.29me and 39.79me respectively. 3. The order of the contents of inorganic components in the flesh and rind was $CaO>K_2O>MgO>P_2O_5>SO_4$ 4. The contents of crude protein and crude fat were increased with those of MgO and $SO_4$ in fruits. 5. The quantity of protein in the soil seed to influence greatly in rind formation not only in citrus fruits but also Citrus junos sieb. 6. In growing Citrus junos sieb, C.L. seemed to he the most adequate soil. 7. The pH range of the soil was from 5.05 to 7.20 generally. 8. The contents of crude protein and crude fat in citrus fruits seemed to be increased with those of organic material and total-nitrogen in the soil.

Studies on Contents of Amino Acids in Citrus Junos Sieb (유자중(柚子中) Amino Acids에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The chemical composition of amino acids in the rind and fresh of Citrus Junos Sieb was studied and compared with that of Citrus natsudaidai Hayate. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Beth of them contained twenty kinds of amino acids, including three kinds of unknown amino acids. 2. Proline in the rind of Citrus Junos and aspartic acid in the rind of Citrus natsudaidai were the richest of all amino acids but on the contrary. Histidine was the poorest of all amino acids in the rind of them. The content of proline amounted to 16.48 mg/100mg in the rind of Citrus Junos and the content of aspartic acid amounted to 32.18 mg/100mg in the rind of Citrus natsudaidai. 3. Aspartic acid was the richest of all amino acids in the flesh of Citrus Junos and the content of it amounted to 32.68mg/100mg. On the other hand, Proline was the richest of all amino acids in the flesh of Citrus natsudaidai and the content of it amounted to 20.93mg/100mg. But the content of histidine as 1.32 mg/100 mg in the flesh of former and tyrosine as 1.18 mg/100 mg in the flesh of latter were relatively small. 4. In the fruits of Citrus Junos and Citrus natsudaidai, aspartic acid and Proline were rich and histidine was poor in quantity. Generally, Flesh contained more amounts of all kinds of amino acids than those rind and especially glutamic acid was richer, compared with other amino acids in flesh.

Anti-proliferative effect of methanolic extracts from Citrus junos seeds and seed oils on HT-29 human colon cancer cells and identification of their major bioactive compounds (유자(Citrus junos)씨와 유자씨 유지의 메탄올 추출물에 의한 HT-29 대장암 세포 생장 억제 효과 및 유효 성분 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-proliferative effect of methanolic extracts from Citrus junos (yuja) seeds and yuja seed oils against HT-29 human colon cancer cells and to identify the key compounds responsible for this effect. Extracts from yuja seeds, yuja seed oil prepared using hexane, and cold-pressed yuja seed oil were prepared using 60% methanol (ES, EHO, and ECO, respectively). The key compounds in the extracts were determined using HPLC-MS. Among the extracts, EHO and ECO inhibited proliferation of HT-29 cells. EHO and ECO were fractionated using preparative LC and the bioactive compounds were determined. Five of the fractions showed a significant anti-proliferative effect and the main compounds in the fractions were isopimpinellin, bergapten, and ichangensin. These compounds showed anti-proliferative effects on HT-29 cells when treated individually, and ichangensin showed the highest anti-proliferative activity. These results suggest that these compounds may be responsible for the anti-cancer effect of EHO and ECO.

  • This paper aims to reveal the thoughts of Confucian Hong chanyu illuminate the literary activity. Hong chanyu is representative of the modern and contemporary Confucian scholars. In chapter 2, a Confucian scholar said the spirit of the Hong chanyu. He was considered unnecessarily cause and form. He thought it was a real need and times of where they live. Hong chanyu it was called moderation. Chapter 3 examined the literary activities of the Hong chanyu. One section made of a Chinese poetical circles for background. Gwansu meeting was created in winter 1976. member was of 13 people. They visited the natural scenery and historical sites found. And it was expressed written poetry.Section 2 says what kind is this Chinese poem they have created. The first is the content eulpeun history. The second is more satire in the world. The third is content to enjoy the tasteful in nature.

Production of yuzu granules using enzyme treated yuzu pulp powder and evaluation of its physiochemical and functional characterization (유자박 식이섬유를 이용한 유자과립 제조 및 이화학적 특성조사)

  • In this study, solubilized yuzu pulp powder (EYP) was produced using enzyme treated yuzu pulp powder (YP) and used to manufacture yuzu granules (0-20% EYP content). The physicochemical, product stability, and functional properties of Yuzu granules were compared among five enzyme treatments. Among the five treatments, CL had the highest YP solubilization yield (48.68%). Microstructural observation of EYP using FE-SEM revealed that its surface became irregular and porous after enzymatic treatment. Compared to YP, EYP had 2 times lower insoluble dietary fibers and 3 times lower hemicellulose and cellulose content. Among the yuzu granules, IV (yuzu granules with 15% EYP) had an excellent water and oil holding capacity and flowability. IV granule had the highest narirutin and hesperidin content of 3.4 mg and 2.2 mg/g DW, respectively and the highest antioxidant (68.4%) and tyrosinase inhibitory activities (82.5%). Therefore, EYP or granule with EYP can be used as a functional component in food industry or pharmaceutical field.

Quality comparison of hot-water leachate from teabags containing Citrus junos peels dried using different methods (건조방법을 달리한 유자껍질 티백차의 품질특성 비교)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of drying methods for Citrus junos peels on quality characteristics of the hot-water leachate from teabags containing those peels. Fresh peels were hot-air ($50^{\circ}C$), cold-air ($30^{\circ}C$), or freeze-dried ($-45^{\circ}C$), powdered to a size of 40 mesh, packaged with a paper sachet, and then the packaged teabags were leached for 10 min with hot-water ($70^{\circ}C$). $L^*$ value (lightness) and $-a^*$ value (greenness) of the peel powder were the highest in the freeze-dried samples. Soluble solids and titratable acidity of the teabag leachate were in the following order; cold-air, freeze, and hot-air dried samples. Among free sugar contents in all samples, fructose content was the highest, followed by glucose and sucrose. Fructose and glucose contents were not affected by drying methods. There was no significant difference in the flavonoid content among the peels dried using three drying methods. DPPH radical-scavenging activity of the leachate was the highest in the cold-air dried sample. These results suggest that cold-air drying would be an effective method to enhance the quality of hot-water leachate of teabags prepared from C. junos peels.

가계자산축적경로(家計資産蓄積經路)에 대한 고찰(考察)

  • 본고(本稿)에서는 가계(家計)의 저축행태(貯蓄行態)가 일생적기(一生適期)(life cycle)에 걸쳐 연령(年齡)-자산관계(資産關係)(age-wealth profile)를 통해 어떻게 나타나는가를 이론적으로 그리고 미시적(微視的) 시뮬레이션의 결과로 살펴보았다. 본고(本稿)에서는 기존의 Ando-Modigliani의 모형(模型)에 성인상당수(成人相當數)라는 개념(槪念)을 도입(導入), 무자녀가구(無子女家口)와 유자녀가구(有子女家口) 사이에 자산저축경로(資産著畜經路)의 차이가 존재함을 밝혔다. 즉, 유자녀가구(有子女家口)의 경우, 자녀의 교육비를 지원함으로써-좀 더 정확히 표현하면 또다른 형태의 세대간교부(世代間交付)(intergenerational transfer)라고 할 수 있는 자녀의 인적자산형성(人的資産形成)에 투자함으로써-소비(消費)가 이 시기에 급상승하게 되고 따라서 자산저축(資産著畜)이 무자녀가구(無子女家口)의 경우보다 완만해질 수 있음을 밝혔다.

공기업(公企業) 민영화(民營化) 정책(政策)의 추진실적평가(推進實績評價)와 개선방향(改善方向)

  • 1994년도 민영화(民營化) 정책(政策)은 효율성(效率性)과 투명성(透明性)의 두가지 뚜렷한 특징을 가지고 있다. 경영효율성(經營效率性)을 제고(提高)하기 위해서 경영권(經營權)을 실질적으로 민간(民間)에 이양(移讓)하는 방침이 뚜렷이 강조되었고, 공기업(公企業) 인수기업(引受企業) 선정과정(選定過程)에서 정부(政府)의 인의성(忍意性)을 배제(排除)하고 투명성(透明性)을 확보하기 위해서 공개경쟁입찰(公開競爭入札) 방법(方法)이 선호되었다. 그러나 주무부처의 산하 공기업(公企業) 민영화(民營化)에 대한 소극성(消極性)과 경쟁입찰(競爭入札) 과정(過程)에서 부각된 재벌(財閥)의 경제력집중(經濟力集中) 심화(深化) 우려로 인하여 1994년도 민영화추진실적(民營化推進實績)은 부진(不振)하였고 향후 민영화(民營化) 추진전망(推進展望)도 불투명하다. 현행(現行) 주무부처위주(主務部處爲主)의 민영화추진체계(民營化推進體系)에 대한 재검토(再檢討)가 요망된다. 매각가격(賣却價格) 및 매각절차(賣却節次) 등에 관한 결정권(決定權)을 가진 독립된 민영화 추진위원회가 설립(設立) 운영(運營)되어야 부처(部處) 이기주의(利己主義)와 반민영화집단(反民營化集團)의 비판(批判)을 극복할 수 있을 것이다. 정부(政府)가 심사(審査)하여 경영권(經營權) 이양(移讓) 대상(對象) 유자격자(有資格者)를 선정(選定)하는 방법(方法)으로는 추진되기 어려운 현실을 감안, 당초의 계획대로 경쟁입찰방법(鏡爭入札方法)에 의한 민영화(民營化) 추진(推進)이 불가피할 것으로 보인다.
