The Untact Era, the Influence of Interpersonal Ability, Self-esteem on Communication skills in Nursing Freshman (언택트 시대, 간호학과 신입생의 대인관계 능력, 자아존중감이 의사소통 능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is a descriptive study to investigate the influence of interpersonal relationships and self-esteem on communication skills of nursing freshmen in the untact era. The subjects of this study were 336 nursing freshmen at a university located in w city. The data was collected from 11st to 21st, May 2020. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, Person's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, the interpersonal skills of the subjects showed a positive correlation with self-esteem and communication skills, and it was found that there was a positive correlation between self-esteem and communication skills. The interpersonal sub-factors affecting communication skills were communication, understanding, openness, sensitivity, and satisfaction. Therefore, It is necessary to make efforts to improve communication skills of students enrolled in the nursing department in the untact era, and educational interventions and educational interventions that can enhance communication skills by utilizing interpersonal skills and self-esteem are needed.

Factors Affecting on Nursing Service Quality of Small and Medium-sized Hospital Nurses (중소병원 간호사의 간호서비스 질에 미치는 영향요인)

  • A descriptive study was attempted to identify the factors affecting of nursing organization culture, communication competence, and professionalism on nursing service quality of small and medium-sized hospital nurses. The study were 166 nurses from hospital nurses located in G metropolitan city, and the data collection period was from August 22 to August 30, 2019. Data were analyzed PASW 18.0 program. As a result, the factors affecting on nursing service quality were professionalism(𝛽=.485, p<.001), communication competence(𝛽=.354, p<.001), hierarchy-oriented organization culture(𝛽=.154, p<.01). The adequacy of the multiple regression model was very significant at the F statistic 64.75(p<.001), explanatory power of 54.6%. Based on this study, it can be useful as basic data for exploring ways to improve nursing service quality and developing nursing intervention programs.

The factors affecting Turnover Intention of General Hospital Nurses (종합병원 간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study was to identify the influence of organizational commitment, nursing work environment, emotional labor on turnover intention of general hospital nurses. The participants were 129 nurses in general hospitals with 100~300 beds in G metropolitan city. Data was collected with questionnaire, during Aug, 1 to 20, 2020. The result of this study, organizational commitment 3.19, nursing work environment was 2.75, emotional labor was 3.19, turnover intention was 3.16. The factors affecting turnover intention are organizational commitment and emotional labor, these variables explained 32.0% of the variance. The results of this study, it can be used as basic data for developing intervention programs to reduce turnover intention of general hospital nurses.

The effect of turnover nurses' social support, emotional labor and subjective health on resilience (이직간호사의 사회적 지지, 감정노동과 주관적 건강이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향)

  • The frequent turnover of nurses is one of the great difficulties of the medical profession, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of social support, emotional labor and subjective health on resilience of turnover nurses. The subjects of this study were 70 turnover nurses and collected data from November 1-10, 2018. The collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25.0 program. The significance level was .05. The results of this study are as follows. 1) Resilience was significantly different according to job satisfaction and subjective health. 2) Resilience showed a significant correlation with social support and subjective health (p <.05). 3) Factors influencing recovery elasticity were job satisfaction and social support and the explanatory power was 44.1% (F = 9.93, p <.001). It is necessary to improve the resilience of nurses to reduce job turnover and increase the adaptability to the clinic. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect these influential factors in improving the resilience of transition nurses.

Attitude about multicultural society of Korea male-female in the middle age (한국 중년기 남녀의 다문화사회에 대한 태도)

  • The study objective was to identify attitude types about multicultureal society of Korea male-female in the middle age. Data was obtained from a total of 25 in the middle age with 42 questionnaires. Data analysis was used by PC QUANL program. The study result had shown the three types such as an anger-reject style, a concern-acceptance style, and a boundary-adaptation stype. All study participants had perception about multicultural society. Therefore, the study results would used the basic data to develop program considered the types according perception and attitude about multicultural society.

Current Status of Interprofessional Education-related Research within Korean Nursing Literature (전문직 간 교육에 대한 국내 간호연구 현황 분석)

  • This study was conducted to analyse interprofessional education(IPE)-related research within Korean nursing literature and suggest future directions for IPE research. For this, Five articles were included for final review. As a results, IPE in nursing research has received attention since 2017. Studies have confirmed that no clear definition of IPE concepts has been established in nursing education. Key findings regarding IPE were categorized into Awareness of IPE, Effects of IPE as an intervention and Validation of Korean version tools measuring effectiveness of IPE. The collaboration of nurses and other healthcare professionals is essential to providing quality healthcare. Therefore, considerable effort should be made to define the concept of IPE and activate research to effectively apply it to nursing education and practice in Korea.

The Study of critical thinking disposition, clinical competence, and satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students (간호학생의 비판적 사고 성향과 임상수행능력 및 임상실습만족도에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify critical thinking disposition, clinical performance, and satisfaction of clinical practice in a college nursing students. Methods: The data were collected from self reported questionnaires about clinical performance, and critical thinking disposition given to 55 nursing students at June, 2017. Results: The mean score of total clinical performance was 3.70 (${\pm}.54$). Total critical thinking disposition was 3.57 (${\pm}.44$) and clinical satisfaction was 3.93 (${\pm}.72$). Regarding clinical performance, psycho-social competence was highest followed by basic care competence, educational care competence, nursing process competence, observing and monitoring competence, and nursing intervention competence. Critical thinking disposition had a significant positive correlation with clinical competence. Conclusion: Results of this study suggest that developing various clinical education and teaching learning methods for clinical competence is necessary to promote critical thinking disposition of nursing students.

Psychosocial Impacts of Newborn Bloodspot Screening on Parents: A Scoping Review (신생아 스크리닝이 부모에게 미치는 사회심리적 영향: 주제범위 문헌고찰)

  • This study synthesized the literature to identify parental psychosocial impact and related factors on newborn bloodspot screening (NBS) process. A scoping review, using the framework proposed by Arksey and O'Malley (2005), was conducted. A literature search was performed of electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, RISS, KISS, DBpia) from 2000 to 2023. In total 749 published articles were identified, and 32 articles were included for the final analysis. Almost studies were descriptive studies using survey or interviews and only one intervention study to reduce negative psychosocial impacts was identified. Parents were experiencing negative psychosocial impacts, particularly related to how positive results were initially communicated and had difficulties accessing timely and reliable information. Findings identified that knowledge, quality and satisfaction of education and communication, information sources and providers as related factors of parental psychosocial impacts. Prenatal and postpartum repeated education, providing timely and reliable information, effective communication between health care providers and parents were key to mitigate negative psychosocial impacts. Nurses can play important roles to improve quality on NBS.

A Qualification Study on the Repeated Self-injury of Adolescent (임상군 청소년의 반복적인 자해 경험에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning and context of adolescents' experiences of repetitive self-injury and to suggest that self-injurious behavior has characteristics of addictive disorder. In-depth interviews were conducted from December 26, 2022 to January 1, 2023 by using a semi-structured questionnaire for six adolescents who are attending outpatient psychiatirc clinic showing repetitive behavior of self-injury. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomeno-logical method focused on deriving the common attributes of all participants. We classified derived common attributes in the aspect of the diagnostic criteria of DSM-5 addictive disorder. 21 sub-themes and 6 categories were derived by gathering common meanings from 268 semantic units. The six categories of this study were raging pain, a wound that cannot not be revealed, extreme pores being pierced, continuous longing for self-harm, process of moving forward with pain. In the future, there is a need to develop various systematic intervention programs, including effective coping methods to help clinical adolescents' recover from self-injury, and further evaluation and research on them.

Experience Sexual Harassment of Nurses: Phenomenological Study (간호사의 병원 내 성희롱 피해 경험: 현상학적 연구)

  • This study was carried out in order to determine the essential structure and meaning of sexual harassment experienced by nurses, prepare a systematic mediation measure that could prevent sexual harassment. In this study, Giorgi's phenomenological research method and an in-depth interview were used, and data was collected from seven participants in general hospital nurses who had experienced sexual harassment from August 6, 2022 to March 25, 2023. The main question used in the in-depth interview was "What does sexual harassment mean to you?". The transcribed data was analyzed according to the method presented by Giorgi through the stages including reading of the data, breaking of the data into some kind of parts, organization and expression of the data from a disciplinary perspective and synthesis or summary of the data for purposes of communication to the scholarly community. As a result, 159 meaning units, 37 essential psychological meanings, 13 sub-constituents, 5 constituents were drawn. The five components include 'exposed to the front line of sexual harassment', 'struggling alone', 'feeling abandoned from the organization', 'finding a way to get through together' and 'feeling changing'. Based on the above results, it is expected to prevent sexual harassment of nurses and provide basic data useful for preparing systematic intervention measures for them and improving the system.
