  • The purpose of current study was to investigate the correlations of walking exercise program-induced abdominal visceral fat loss with metabolic syndrome risk factors in middle-aged women. The walking exercise program was provided at a frequency of 3 sessions, respectively, per week for a duration of 12 weeks. Then, the subjects were classified into either those whose abdominal visceral fat loss belonged to low 25 percentile (low 25% group, n=8) or those whose abdominal visceral fat loss belonged to high 25 percentile(high 25% group, n=8) based on the amount of abdominal visceral fat loss induced by the walking exercise. Metabolic syndrome risk factors(waist circumference, triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol, fasting blood glucose, blood pressure) between groups according to the 12 weekly walking exercise program had no difference. In conclusion, the findings of the present study show that the walking exercise-induced total abdominal fat and visceral fat loss were positively relate to waist and blood pressure(SBP, DBP) and that the walking exercise-induced subcutaneous fat loss were positively relate to waist and blood pressure(SBP).

  • This study was aimed to understand the recognition of care robots which would enhance the medical quality of life under the 4th industrial revolution in the university students majoring in health and engineering who would lead the development of the future medical industry and to find out the differences of their digital literacy and empathic ability. This was a descriptive correlation study to analyze the recognition of university students on care robots, their digital literacy and empathic ability. Both students majoring in health and engineering recognized the needs of care robots, while their education experiences were not sufficient. Moreover, statistically fewer university students majoring in health heard about care robots than those in engineering, and their need of taking classes was lower, too. No statistically significant differences were found in digital literacy and empathic ability between the two majors, while significant difference was found in the relationship bundling capability out of behavioral empathy, a sub-domain of empathic ability. The study results are anticipated to suggest the future educational direction in the medical field according to the 4th industrial revolution and to be the fundamental data for understanding and preparation of the students depending on the majors.

  • The purpose of this study was to report the changes in underwater anxiety, physical self-efficacy, and water safety consciousness in elementary school students through participation in survival swimming education, and the relationship between variables. For this purpose, 300 out of 312 elementary school students who participated in survival swimming education in Busan were used as valid samples. The collected data were analyzed through exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correspondence sample t-test, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 25.0 statistical program, and the results are as follows. First, the underwater anxiety of elementary school students before and after participating in survival swimming education decreased, and the physical self-efficacy and water safety awareness increased. Second, underwater anxiety of elementary school students who participated in survival swimming education partially negatively affected physical self-efficacy and water safety consciousness, and physical self-efficacy partially positively affected water safety consciousness. Based on these results, the effectiveness of survival swimming education could be confirmed, and the direction of qualitative expansion of the program could be reconsidered.

  • The public organization in the metropolitan area moved to regional province by Regional Innovation Policy in South Korea. This policy was settled to solve the problem of concentration in metropolitan areas and underdeveloped regions caused by industrial development strategy for 40 years from 1960s till 2000s. Government decided the plan under the judgement that moving public organization (or institutions) is one of National Innovation Strategy for balanced development. Furthermore, Central organizations/institutions were to be the subject of regional innovation by leading the regional innovation and building a new regional innovation system. • In order to confirm whether innovation can be realized through the direction that companies pursue, this study empirically analyzed the relationship between strategic directionality and innovation capacity. Specifically, strategic directionality is divided into customer orientation and technology orientation, and innovation capacity is classified into strategic planning capacity, R&D capacity, and technology commercialization capacity based on previous studies. And the effect of customer and technology orientation on each innovation capacity was analyzed. Data collection was carried out by 368 questionnaires from the workers of manufacturing industry in Gyeongbuk area and the proposed hypotheses were tested by using structural equation. As a result, it was confirmed that technology orientation had significant effects on all three innovation capacities. However, the effect of customer orientation on strategic planning capacity and technical commercialization capacity was accepted, but the relationship with R&D capacity was rejected. These results can provide implications for how to draw innovation from the organizational strategic direction and culture perspectives by explaining the impact of organizational orientation on innovation capacity.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effects of depression, academic helplessness, and smartphone addiction tendency in the relationship between self-esteem and grit of adolescents. Data from the 2018 (first-year) Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey were used in this study. The subjects of this study were 1,375 male and 1,166 female students in seventh grade school. The multiple mediation model analysis was conducted using the SPSS and PROCESS macro program. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a positive correlation between self-esteem and grit, while self-esteem and grit had negative correlations with depression, academic helplessness, smartphone addiction. Second, it was found that the relationship between self-esteem and grit was mediated by depression, academic helplessness, and smartphone addiction tendency, respectively, and furthermore, it was found that all pathways mediated sequentially were also significant. These results suggest that education and intervention considering self-esteem, depression, academic helplessness, and smartphone addiction to be useful as a way to help adolescents develop interest in specific goals and continue their efforts in these days when smartphone use is common.

The net profit is related that Challenging Spirits in subjective factors and Run-up to the Business, Business Duration, Initial Capital in objective factors. Ultimately, these factors are important variables for the sales and net profit in relationship both the positive(+) and negative(-). This is an exploratory nature of the study rather than the rigorous hypothesis testing. Therefore, a rigorous hypothesis test study model to derive a more detailed study is needed based on the results of this study in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to redefine 7 social exclusion factors and to derive association between social exclusion factors and depression of middle and older elderly, focused on gender differences. The elderly aged over 50 years old were extracted from the data of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA) in 2016. The data was analyzed by descriptive analysis, chi-squared test, and binary logistic regression analysis, using SAS 9.4. As a result, the elderly who were excluded from labor, residence, health, and relationship were found to be associated to depression. In addition, male with resident exclusion were associated with depression compared to non-excluded. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the local community programs in which elderly people can participate in labor and cultural activity. It is necessary to improve labor and culture exclusion by increasing the participation opportunities of various cultural programs. In addition, it is needed to establish specific guidelines for eliminating the social exclusion of overall elderly.

  • This study seeks to carry out a literary review of preceding studies and the health improvement model of Pender(1987) on university students majoring in nursing to explain the health improvement behaviors and identify the factors that affect their activities to provide a framework for developing a more effective nursing mediation method that promotes health improvement behaviors. The study subjects were 204 university students majoring in nursing who have had clinical practice experience. The period for data collection was from April 1to May 30, 2014 and a total of 204 copies of the questionnaire were used for analysis. For the collected data, frequency analysis, percentage, ANOVA, t-test and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS, LISREL, and path analyss was done for hypothesis testing. The overall index of hypothesis model showed a good congruence as ${\chi}^2=.06$(p=.812), df=1, ${\chi}^2(df)=.000$, GFI=0.97, AGFI=1.0, SRMR=.002, NFI=0.947, NNFI=0.957, RMSEA=0.016, CN=266. Looking at the verification of the hypothesis presented in the model, the variables that affect health improvement behaviors were perceived disability, perceived self-efficacy, perceived social support, while stress from clinical practice, perceived health status, persistence and perceived benefits did not affect health improvement behaviors.
