  • VR(Virtual Reality)의 개념이 제조공학 분야로 확대 적용되면서 설계분야에서의 가상조형 (Virtual Prototyping), 제조분야에서의 가상제조시스템(Virtual Manufacturing System)이라는 새로운 형태의 제조 시스템 및 설계기술이 차세대 제조기술로서 발전해 오고있으며 이런 가상제조방법(Virtual Manufacturing)은 컴퓨터를 이용하며 생산과정에서 제품뿐만이 아니라 유한요소해석을 유용하여, 공정까지도 모의실험을 하며 생산성(manufacturability), 최종 형태(final shape), 잔류 응력(residual stress), 제품 수명 주기(life-cycle)등과 같은 요소들의 최적화 정보를 제공하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 가상제조방법을 구현하기 위한 기초적 단계로서 가상단조기계를 가상현실기법을 이용하여 모델링하고 Java를 이용하여 모델링된 단조기계를 제어하고 제조되는 단조물에 대한 내부 응력 및 형태변환을 유한 요소법을 이용하여 분석하고 분석된 단조물의 자료를 WEB상을 통하여 닥 수 있게 유한 요소 해석결과를 VRML언어로 변환하는 작업을 수행하였다.

AN EVALUATION OF TREATMENT EFFECTS OF BIONATOR IN CLASS II DIVISION 1 MALOCCLUSION BY FINITE ELEMENT METHOD (II급 1류 부정교합에서 bionator의 치료효과에 관한 유한요소법적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate treatment effects of bionator in Class II division 1 malocclusion by FEM(Finite Element Method). The 73 subjects were classified into good result group and poor result group in reference to posttreatment molar relation, posttreatment overbite and overjet, posttreatment profile, and relapse. Pretreatment and posttreatment lateral cephalograms were taken and FEM was performed. The results were as follow; 1. There was no statistical significance in treatment changes between the sexes, and between the treatment result groups. 2. Treatment changes were not significantly different among the age groups. 3. The effect of treatment period groups on skeletal and dentoalveolar changes were analyzed using ANOVA. Body of maxilla, upper incisor, anterior face, ramus, upper anterior face, lower anterior face and treatment effect were correlated with the treatment period, but correlation coefficients were low. 4. The results of present investigation confirm that Class II bionator can assist in the correction of Class II division 1 malocclusion, mainly due to dentoalveolar changes. 5. There is significant difference in skeletal and dentoalveolar pattern between good result group and poor result group. In poor result group, maxilla was relatively downward and backward rotated, mandible was relatively backward rotated, upper incisor was in relatively lingual position, lower incisor was in relatively labial position.

Analysis for Effects of Slope Failure Behavior by Finite Element Method (유한요소법에 의한 사면붕괴 거동해석에 미치는 영향분석)

  • In this paper, an application of finite element procedure for the analysis of slope failure behavior has been studied. The most widely accepted methods in analyzing the slope stability problems are mostly based on limit equilibrium method. And the finite element method is widely accepted to analyze stress and displacements. This paper shows how the factor of safety calculated in the finite element method can be systematically incorporated into slope stability. In analyzing the slope failure behavior by finite element method, the effects of computational method and the results have been discussed. And several computations of slope stabilities were carried out to compare the finite element analysis results with those obtained by methods of slices based on the limit equilibrium analysis.

  • 상업적인 유한요소 코드들은 오늘날 업계에서 공학 문제들을 해결하기 위해 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 코드들의 광범위한 사용으로 점점 많은 초보자들이 예전에 해결하지 못했던 여러 문제 들을 해결하기 위해 이러한 코드들을 이용하게 되었다. 그러나 기술부족이나 잘못된 사용으로 인하여 분석 결과가 잘못되었다는 것이 시험부서 또는 기술 . 설계부서에서 곧잘 드러나게 된다. 이 글에서는 구조 해석자가 유한요소 분석 모델을 만드는 과정에서 범할 수 있는 실수들에 대 해서 제언하고자 한다.

Appropriate Boundary Conditions for Three Dimensional Finite Element Implicit Dynamic Analysis of Flexible Pavement (연성포장의 3차원 유한요소해석을 위한 최적 경계조건 분석)

  • Flexible pavement responses to vehicular loading, such as critical stresses and strains, in each pavement layer, could be predicted by the multilayered elastic analysis. However, multilayered elastic theory suffers from major drawbacks including spatial dimension of a numerical model, material properties considered in the analysis, boundary conditions, and ill-presentation of tire-pavement contact shape and stresses. To overcome these shortcomings, three-dimensional finite element (3D FE) models are developed and numerical analyses are conducted to calculate pavement responses to moving load in this study. This paper introduces a methodology for an effective 3D FE to simulate flexible pavement structure. It also discusses the mesh development and boundary condition analysis. Sensitivity analyses of flexible pavement response to loading are conducted. The infinite boundary conditions and time-dependent history of calculated pavement responses are considered in the analysis. This study found that the outcome of 3D FE implicit dynamic analysis of flexible pavement that utilizes appropriate boundary conditions, continuous moving load, viscoelastic hot-mix asphalt model is comparable to field measurements.

  • In this paper, the critical strains for pavement design were calculated from both Layered Elastic Program (LEP) and Finite Element Method (FEM) and the case studies which give similar critical responses were compared. Although FEM has been realized as a superior model, LEP is more favorable to pavement design due to its simplicity and thus, the technique to calculate the correct critical responses using LEP is significant. This study showed that KENLAYER can possibly estimate the critical responses close to ones obtained from TTIPAVE, which considers nonlinear cross-anisotropic behavior of unbound base materials, by adjusting the stress point locations.

판형 홀다운스프링의 강성도해석 모델 개발

  • 유한요소법을 이용하여 경수로형 핵연료집합체에서 냉각수 유동에 의한 수직 상승력으로부터 핵연료를 지지하는 판형 HDS의 강성도를 수치해석적으로 평가할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다 I-DEAS code의 8 node brick element를 사용하고 판스프링들간의 간섭 부위에 접촉요소를 사용한 유한요소 모델링 및 해석기법으로 평가한 탄성강성도가 변형 에너지법에 근거하여 유도된 탄성강성도 평가식으로부터 얻은 결과와 잘 일치하고 있어서 제안된 유한요소 모델링 및 해석기법은 판형 HDS의 거동 분석에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.

  • The FEM is a computer-aided mathematical technique for obtaining approximate solution to the differential equations. The pointwise convergence defines the relationship between the mesh size and the tolerance. This will play an important role in improving quality of finite element approximate solution. In the paper. We evaluate the convergence on a certain unknown point with a 1-irregular mesh refinement and spectral order enrichment. This means that the degree of freedom is minimized within a tolerance.
