On the Study of New Numerical Analysis in the Transient Electromagnetic Wave Scattering (전자파의 과도적 산란 특성에 관한 새로운 수치해석 연구)

  • In this paper, the transient electromagneti wave scattering at dielectric cylinder is studied by new numerical analysis method. Basic formulation of boundary integral equation (BIE) for numerical method is started weighted residual technique. BIE is made to two simultaneous equation at surface inner and outside point of dielectric cylinder in extended boundary condition (EBC) and surface boundary condition (SBC). Numerical method is used Boundary element method (BEM) that is two form, one is direct method and the other is indirect method, so that this method that transformes operator inversion martics is used numerical analysis. A good agreement of this numerical solution and the other results is obtained.

Time-Domain Solutions of the VV, HV, VH Problems at the Surface of a Normally Uniaxial Half-Space Dielectric (수직 단축성을 갖는 반공간 유전체 표면에서 VV, HV, VH 문제의 시간영역 해)

  • Theoretical investigation is made on the electromagnetic fields generated by an impulsive point current source, fur the VV, HV, and VH problems at the interface between an isotropic upper half-space medium and a normally uniaxial lower half-space medium. The electric fields of these problems are associated only with the extraordinary-wave components in the Fourier-Laplace domain. Applying the Cagniard-de Hoop method to each problem, the time-domain solutions of the wave fields are obtained. The fields of the VV case can be expressed in explicit(integral-free) forms. The fields of the HV and VH cases are not integral-free, but the major singularities implicit in the integral solutions can be analytically extracted. The interfacial far fields in the frequency domain are determined by the singularities in the time domain.

Combustion Control of Refuse Incineration Plant using Fuzzy Model and Genetic Algorithms (퍼지 모델과 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 쓰레기 소각로의 연소 제어)

  • In this paper we propose combustion control of refuse incineration plant using fuzzy model and genetic algorithm. At first fuzzy modelling is performed to obtain fuzzy model of the refuse incineration plant and obtained fuzzy model predicts outputs of the plant when inputs are given. Fuzzy model ca be used to obtain control strategy, and train and enhance operators' skill by simulating the plant. Then genetic algorithms search and find out optimal control inputs over all possible solutions in respect to desired outputs and these are inserted to plant. In order to testify proposed control method, computer simulation was carried out. As a result, ISE of fuzzy model of refuse incineration plant is 0.015 and ITAE of control by proposed method, 352 which is better than that by manual operation.

  • Uncoupled, quasi-static and linear thermoviscoelastic problems are analyzed in time domain by the finite element approximation which is developed using the principle of virtual work and viscoelasticity matrices instead of shear and bulk relaxation functions as in usual formulations. The material is assumed to be isotropic, homegeneous and thermorheologically simple, which means that the temperature-time equivalence postulate is effective. The stress-strain laws are expressed by relaxation-type hereditary integrals. In spatial and time discritizations, isoparametric quadratic quadrilateral finite elements and linear time variations are adopted. For explicit derivations, the viscoelastic material is assumed to behave standard linear solid in shear and elastically in dilatation. Two-dimensional examples are solved under general temperature distributions T = T(x, t), and compared with other opproximate solutions to show the versatility of the presented analysis.

Taxonomic position and genetic differentiation of Korean Astragalus mongholicus Bunge (한국산 황기의 분류학적 위치 및 유전적 분화)

  • To clarify the taxonomic position for Astragalus nakaianus and provide correct scientific name for A. mongholicus cultivar in South Korea, we examined external morphological characters and sequence variations from ITS and five cp non-coding DNA regions. Genetic structure was also analyzed for 61 individuals from three populations using nine microsatellite loci. We found no significant difference between the South Korean cultivar and A. mongholicus var. dahuricus when morphology and ITS sequences were considered. Morphologically, A. nakaianus specimens varied somewhat from A. mongholicus var. mongholicus and var. dahuricus in habit, plant height, and lengths of leaf axis and leaflet. Although sequence data from ITS and cp noncoding DNA regions could not distinguished A. nakaianus from A. mongholicus, microsatellite analysis revealed strong structuring between the cultivar and A. nakaianus. Therefore, we conclude that the South Korean A. mongholicus cultivar should be treated as A. mongholicus var. dahuricus and that A. nakaianus should be merged into A. mongholicus as a variety, i.e., A. mongholicus var. nakaianus.

A Study on Electromyogram Signals Recognition Technique using Neural Network and Genetic Algorithms (신경회로망과 유전알고리즘을 이용한 근전신호 인식기법)

  • A new recognition technique using neural network coupled with Genetic Algorithms (GAs) was proposed. This technique concentrate on efficient Electromyography signal recognition through out improving neural network's several demerits. GAs paly a role of selecting Multilayer Perceptron's optimized initial connection weights by its typical global search. Electro Myography signal was pre-processed with Hidden Markov Model (HMM) in order to refect its time-varying property into input pattern except other features such as Zero Crossing Number(ZCN) and Integral Absolute Value (IAV). Results for 6 primitive motions show that the suggested technique has better performance in learning time and recognition rates than already established ordinary methods. Moreover, it performed stable recognition without convergence into a local minimum.

  • This paper presents the delivered power and reflection coefficient in metallic shielding enclosure with a sub-cavity, which are evaluated with the method of moments, sad describes a method for controlling the resonance characteristics of the metallic cavity by putting lossy dielectric material in the sub-cavity. In this paper we introduce carbon polystyrene-foam as lossy dielectric material and observe it's effects of reduction when the dimensions of the sub-cavity and permittivity of lossy dielectric material are changed. The results show that the reduction of the electromagnetic radiation can be achieved by controlling the amount of carbon in lossy dielectric material and the dimensions of the sub-cavity. The theoretical analysis is verified by the measured delivered power.

Radiation Characteristics of Dielectric-Coated Conducting Cylinder Loaded with Periodic Corrugation (주기적인 구형격자로 로딩된 유전체 코팅된 도체 실린더의 복사 특성)

  • The radiation characteristics of leaky antenna from the dielectric-coated conducting cylinder with periodic corrugation are investigated theoretically for the infinite and finite periodic structures. For the infinite periodic structure, mode-matching method is applied. The integral equation is derived for the finite periodic structure by use of the Fourier transform and mode expansion and a simultaneous linear equation is obtained. The influences of the corrugation slot width, corrugation depth, dielectric thickness, cylinder radius, and finite corrugation number on the radiation characteristics (leakage constant, phase constant, and radiation pattern) are investigated. The results of the finite periodic corrugations are compared with those of the infinite extent structure and good agreement is found. To reduce high side lobe levels of the uniform finite periodic structure, tapering process on the beginning and end section of antenna and nonuniform quasi-period slot arrays are considered. Especially, for the corrugation period, width and depth used for a corrugated surface wave antenna, through the proper tapering process, end-fire radiation pattern with reduced side lobe levels is given.

  • 콜로이달 리소그래피는 나노미터 크기의 나노구를 자가조립에 의해 정렬시킴으로써, 파장이하 크기의 주기 구조를 저비용으로 쉽게 구현할 수 있는 패터닝 기법이다. 콜로이달 리소그래피나 소프트 리소그래피와 같이 대면적 패터닝이 가능한 공정을 태양전지를 위한 반사방지 및 광 포획 증대 구조에 적용함으로써, 기존 성능을 크게 향상시켰다. 본 연구에서는, 유한차분 시간영역 수치해석법을 이용하여 반사 방지 및 광 포획 증대 구조에 대한 이론적 검증 및 설계를 진행하였고, 콜로이달 리소그래피 및 반도체 공정을 통해 샘플을 제작하였으며, 제작된 샘플의 성능을 적분구를 겸비한 자외선 가시광 근적외선 영역 분광기를 통해 평가하였다. 반사방지 나노섬을 겸비한 나노 원뿔대 언덕형 굴절률 소자를 구현함으로써, 300나노미터 이하의 구조체를 사용하지 않고도 근자외선 영역을 포함하는 태양광 에너지의 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 광대역 방사방지 구조체를 제시하였다. 나노 원뿔대가 격자상수 이상의 파장에 대한 언덕형 굴절률을 제공하고, 4분의 1파장 나노섬 반사방지막이 격자 상수 이하의 근자외선 태양광을 추가적으로 흡수하여, 근자외선 영역에서의 평균 반사율을 3.8% 수준으로 달성 할 수 있었다. 또한, 낮은 양호계수를 갖는 속삭임 회랑 공진기 어레이를 이용하여, 박막 태양전지에 적합한 유전체 기반 광포획 증대 나노구조를 제시하였다. 나노반구, 나노고깔, 나노구, 함몰형 나노구 어레이 형태를 가지며, 500nm의 주기를 갖는 유전체 표면 텍스쳐드 구조를 초박형 비정질 실리콘 필름(100nm) 위에 제작하여 광대역 광 포획 증대 효과를 실험적으로 평가하였다. 구조들 중 함몰형 나노구 어레이가 결합된 비정질 실리콘 박막이 가장 높은 성능을 보였으며, 구조가 없는 경우 대비 약 67.6%의 가중 흡수율 증가를 나타내었다. 특히, 함몰형 나노구 어레이 구조 중 폴리메틸메타아크릴레이트로 제작된 평판형 함몰층은 나노구 비정질 박막 실리콘 사이의 접착력 및 기계적 강성을 향상시켰을 뿐 아니라, 함몰층 내부로 회절되고 산란된 빛들이 도파모드 효과에 의해 부가적인 광 포획 증대를 가져옴으로써, 가장 높은 광 포획 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 유전체 기반 나노 구조들은 간단하고 저비용이며, 대면적으로 쉽게 제작할 수 있는 자가 조립 기반 콜로이달 리소그래피 및 소프트 리소그래피 기술을 이용하여 제작되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 평판구조물의 정적 및 동적해석에 사용할 목적으로 성능이 향상된 평판유한요소를 제시하였다. 이 요소는 비적합변위형과 선택적 감차적분방법 그리고 대체전단변형률장을 복합적으로 적용하여 각각의 장점들을 포함하는 향상된 거동을 보여주고 있다. 또한 비적합변위형의 적용으로 발생되는 조각시험의 실패 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 직접수정법을 평판유한요소의 개선에 사용하였다. 대표적인 검증문제에 대한 수치해석작업을 통하여 본 연구에서 개발한 요소는 가상적인 제로에너지모드 및 전단잠김현상의 발생과 같은 문제를 나타내지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 찌그러진 형상으로 모형화 한 경우에 있어서도 전단잠김현상이 발생하지 않았다. 본 연구에서 수행한 동적반응해석 시험에 있어서도 이론해와 잘 일치하는 결과를 보여주었다.
