Multi-level Analysis on the Using ICT Ability and Using Computers for Learning through PISA 2009 Data (PISA 2009에서 ICT 활용능력과 학습목적 컴퓨터 사용 영향요인에 대한 다층분석)

  • This study is to investigate the effecting factors on using ICT ability, and using computers for learning through PISA 2009 Korean data. Multi-level analysis is adapted to hierarchical nested data. Results show as follows: First, using ICT ability is affected by variables on the student level, but not on the school level, except in ESCS. Second, using computers for the purpose of learning at home is also affected by variables on the student level, but not on the school level, except in ESCS and in the size of region. Third, using computers for learning at the school is more influenced by variables on the school level like ESCS, the size of region, the ratio of computers, and the student-teacher ratio. The results suggest planning a computer education policy with considering both personal and school differences based on the multi-level approach.

Reality Check Test on the Momentum and Contrarian Strategy (모멘텀전략과 반대전략에 대한 사실성 체크검정)

  • This study tests the significance of momentum and contrarian strategy which challenge the weak efficient market hypothesis (EMH). If momentum and contrarian strategy can make extra return above the market, this can be a significant critics to the weak EMH. By using Monte Carlo simulation we have found that many existing returature, which test the significance of momentum and contrarian strategy, have a significance distortion problem. We test the significance of momentum and contrarian strategy by using reality check test of White(2000) which solve the problem of data snooping bias. The results are following. When we use the KOSPI index as the benchmark portfolio, we can get the best strategy of momentum strategy in the case of mean return. But in the case of Sharp ratio which is the performance measure adjusting risk, we find that the best strategy in the momentum and contrarian strategy can not dominate the performance of benchmark portfolio. Therefore we argue that weak EMH can not be rejected because of superior performance of momentum and contrarian strategy when we consider risk.

Study on the Usefulness of respiration compensation PET/CT (호흡보정 PET/CT의 유용성에 관한 연구)

  • When taking PET/CT, the distortion of the image happens due to the movement of a lesion with respiration. In this study, the experiment was conducted to see if the change in SUV value and distortion of the image could be somewhat corrected by comparing the image which was not compensated with that of the region of lung nodule, compensated with respiration compensation Plumonary Toolkit possessed by this hospital. The records of 17 patients with Lung cancer between May and August 2008. As the result of the experiment, Max SUV value increased by from 4.08% minimum to 43.10% maximum, and the average Max SUV value of lung nodule increased from 6.07 to 7.00(12.16%). In the case of respiration compensation PET/CT, the distortion of the image improved. As there was no significance in the comparison of SCC and Adenocarcinom respectively, though there was a statistically significant level(P<0.05) before and after respiration compensation in SCC-Adenocarcinoma, there was an effect in respiration compensation regardless of Cell types. As the result of the experiment, it was found out that the distortion of standard intake coefficient value and the image was compensated Therefore, the diagnosis of lung cancer and follow up will be able to help.

The Influences of Impulsivity, Family' Gambling Activity and the Distance from Adolescence's home to the Gambling Facilities Area on adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future (청소년의 충동성, 가족도박수준 및 거주지역이 청소년의 도박행동, 도박신념 및 미래의 도박동기에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of impulsivity, family' gambling and the distance from the gambling facilities, on adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future. A total of 567 high school students in Jeongseon and Taeback(the Kangwon-Land Casino area or near the Kangwon-Land Casino), in Gwhachoen City(near the Seoul Race Park), and in Whachoen(far from the gambling facilities area) were participated in this study, and completed the questionnaires for measuring adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future, impulsivity and family gambling behaviors. Results showed there were positive relationships impulsivity, family' gambling, adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future. There were significant relationships among dwelling areas, gambling behaviors, and beliefs. Especially, adolescents in Jeongseon have more likely gambling behaviors, and the gambling beliefs were more dysfunction than ones in Gwhachoen and Whachoen. And adolescents in Whachoen had the lowest gambling motivation. Also, the correlation between the impulsivity and gambling-related behaviors was significant. The implication of this study was as fellow. When planing the politic intervention for preventing the problem gambling in the future it was necessary to consider the distance from the gambling facilities as environmental component and impulsivity as personal component.

Analysis of Perceived Weight According to Temperature and Weight of Stainless Steel Cup (스테인리스 컵의 온도와 무게에 따른 무게감 분석)

  • The weight of an object is an important research topic in terms of sense, and objects have size-weight, color-weight, and material-weight illusions due to the influence of size, color, and material and the weight of the object. Although temperature is a very important environmental factor in our daily life, there is a dearth of studies on how the temperature of an object affects its perceived weight. This study analyzed the effect of an object's temperature on the perceived weight. A stainless steel cup, in which weight and temperature are easily adjustable, was selected as a perceived weight measurement object; 5 temperature levels (0, 9, 20, 40, 70 degrees) and 2 weight levels (250, 400 g) were set. A total of 40 healthy men and women in their 20s participated in the experiment. The weight of the given cup compared to the reference cup was evaluated according to the modulus method. The study revealed that both temperature and weight significantly affected the perceived weight. The effect of temperature on the weight was different depending on the weight of the object. When the cup's weight was small (250 g), the temperature of the cup did not affect the weight. However, the perceived weight of a large cup (400 g) increased at a low temperature. This result suggests that the effect of temperature on the weight of an object depends on the size-weight illusion.

  • 점착성 유사는 비점착성 유사보다 작은 입자 크기를 가지며 전자기적 점착력에 의해 연속적인 응집과 파괴의 과정인 응집현상을 겪는다. 응집현상에 의해 생긴 유사 덩어리를 플럭(Floc)이라고 하며 유사의 응집현상은 점착성 유사가 가지는 입자 크기, 침강속도, 밀도를 변화시킨다. 유사의 이동은 크기, 침강속도, 밀도에 영향을 받는다. 따라서 점착성 유사의 여러 특성에 관여하는 입자의 크기에 대한 충분한 이해는 점착성 유사의 이동을 파악하는 데에 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 점착성 유사의 여러 특성 중, 입자 크기 분포에 대한 특성을 분석하는 것을 수행하였다. 일반적으로 점착성 유사의 연구에서 입도 분포는 Log-normal 분포로 가정하여 사용되고 있다. 그러나 그 적합성에 대해서는 검증된 바가 없다. 따라서 과거 연구에서 조사된 점착성 유사의 입도 분포 자료를 현장에서 측정된 자료와 실험실에서 측정된 자료로 나누어 수집한 후, 표본에 통계학적인 방법인 적합도 검정을 사용하여 실제 어떠한 분포를 모사하는지 살펴보았다. 적합도 검정은 Kolmogorov- Smirnov (K-S)검정을 이용하였으며 K-S 검정의 결과가 유의수준 5%를 통과하는 경우 가정된 분포가 실제 표본을 잘 모사하는 것으로 판단하였다. 적합도 검정 결과, 점착성 유사의 입도 분포는 현장 실험과 실험실 실험에서 다른 특징을 나타내었다. 현장 실험의 경우 입도 분포의 형태가 지수 분포의 형태를 나타내는 경우가 많았으며 Gamma 분포가 우수하게 모사하였다. 실험실 실험의 입도 분포는 일반적인 양의 왜곡도를 가지는 분포를 그렸으며 GEV 분포와 Gamma 분포가 우수하게 모사하였다. 두 경우 모두 Log-normal 분포가 적합하다고 판단되는 경우는 많지 않았다. 그러나 Log-normal 분포에 위치 매개변수를 추가하여 3 매개변수의 분포로 모사한 경우 유의수준 5%를 통과하는 경우가 크게 증가하였다. 향후에는 점착성 유사의 입도 분포를 모사하고 사용함에 있어 Log-normal 분포를 무조건적으로 이용하는 것은 지양해야할 것으로 판단된다. 2 매개변수의 분포를 점착성 유사의 입도분포로 사용할 경우, Gamma 분포를 추천하며, 기존에 사용되던 Log-normal 분포를 사용할 경우 위치 매개변수를 추가하여 3 매개변수의 Log-normal 분포를 이용할 것을 추천한다. 또한 점착성 유사의 입도를 모사하는 분포를 개발하여 사용한다면 점착성 유사의 이동과 특성을 연구할 때 가장 중요한 크기 특성에 대한 많은 정보를 제공할 수 있다고 판단된다.

A Wilcoxon signed-rank test for random walk hypothesis based on slopes (기울기를 이용한 랜덤워크 윌콕슨 부호순위검정)

  • Random walk is used for describing random phenomenon in various areas but tests for random walk developed so far are known to suffer from size distortion and low power. Kim et al. (2014) proposed a sign test for unit root (${\rho}=1$) hypothesis based on slopes. This article proposes a Wilcoxon signed rank test based on slopes for unit root hypothesis, and compares it with the augmented Dickey-Fuller test and the sign test by a simulation study. Our results confirm that the nonparametric tests are better than ADF test for small samples like n = 30. The results also show that the sign test is better than the Wilcoxon signed rank test and that for 0 < ${\rho}$ < 1 (-1 < ${\rho}$ < 0), the nonparametric tests suffer from power loss (improvement) as normal error changes to double exponential error.

철도기준점을 이용한 철도중심선형 좌표변환에 관한연구 - 호남고속철도 계획노선을 중심으로 -

  • In this paper through Honam high-speed railroad which is planned with the north and south axis, we will verify the feasibility of the coordinate conversion using railroad control points after regarding current planned-railroad as the linear central axises. From analysis, distortion of Y axis varies 21cm to 40cm diminishing to a gentle straight line, distortion of X axis varies 14cm to 29cm. Through a revision, the deviation value between the coordinates were 6mm to 9mm and it satisfied the allowable error of national geographic information institute which is following ITRF (International Terrestrial Reference Frame) and cadastral boundary survey(10cm). consequently the coordinate conversion is possible using railroad control points as common control points.

  • Random walk hypothesis is a hypothesis that explains theoretically the difficulty in forecasting in financial market. Various tests for the hypothesis have been developed so far but it is known that those tests suffer from low power and size distortion. In this article, a sign test based on slopes are suggested to overcome these difficulties. A simulation study is conducted to compare this test to the often used Dickey and Fuller (1979) test.

  • 사용자 만족(User satisfaction)은 Bailey와 Pearson(1983) 이후, 정보시스템 분야의 연구에서 시스템의 성능(Performance)을 대변하는 성과변수로서 가장 널리 사용되어져 왔다.[Delone & McLean, 1992]. 그러나 사용자 만족은 실제 시스템의 객관적인 성능이나 품질이 아닌 사용자에 의해 지각된(Perceived) 만족이므로, 인간이 인지과정에서 받는 다른 영향들로 인하여 지각된 성과는 실제의 시스템 성능과 다를 수 있다.[Gatian 1994; Szajna & Scamell, 1993. 따라서 만일 사용자가 지각한 성능이 객관적인 실제의 시스템 성능과 반드시 일치하지 않는다면, 그 원인은 무엇이며, 사용자가 시스템을 평가하는 과정에서 어떤 요인들이 작용하여 이러한 왜곡된 결과를 가져오는지, 사용자 만족이 결정되는 인지적 과정을 규명할 필요가 있다. 이러한 의미에서 본 연구는 마케팅 분야에서 일반상품에 대한 소비자의 만족 결정에 영향을 주는 변수와 그 결정과정을 연구한 소비자 만족/불만족(Consumer Satisfaction / Dissatisfaction)의 연구이론을 도입하여, 정보시스템이란 상품을 대상으로 사용자가 만족을 느끼게 되는 과정을 인지적(Cognitive) 관점에서 규명하고, 만족결정에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 찾아낸 후 소비자 만족을 결정하는 모형을 연구하고자 하였다. 8개 기업의 정보시스템 사용자부터 데이터를 수집하여 LISREL을 이용하여 사용자 만족 연구 모형을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 결정모형은 유의하였으며 정보시스템의 사용자 만족에 영향을 미치는 변수로는 시스템의 성능 뿐 아니라 기대불일치가 함께 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 시스템 성능의 향상과 함께 사용자들의 기대수준 관리에 관심을 기울일 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
