  • The gearbox for wind turbine have been increased the size by the wind turbine is needed to produce bigger power. The optimal sizing for gearbox is demanded because of limited space on the nacelle. The volume and weight for the gearbox are influenced especially for size of it. Therefore, the purpose of this study investigates the design characteristics considering types of gear train structure for optimizing the volume and weight of the gearbox.

로드셀과 토크암을 이용한 대용량 토크 측정장치 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of device measuring very high torque via torque arm with attached load cells)

  • A measurement of very high torque for track drive unit in construction equipment is usually in difficulties due to the requirement of a torque meter with high capacity, and the limitation of geometry for an experimental set-up. To improve the troublesome problem, a new device was proposed, where a torque transmitted through the torque arm can be measured by load cells attached at each torque arm. The experimental set-up of the new device was carried out in order to measure the torque values for a mechanical feedback type planetary gear box, in which the power flow circulates itself in a closed-loop. The new device enables to measure torque values of 60,000Nm. Additionally, the measured values were estimated statistically in the aspect of their repeatability and reproducibility, so that an acceptable behaviour as a measuring device can be confirmed.

풍력발전기용 3점 지지 기어박스에서 캐리어 핀홀 위치 오차가 유성기어의 하중분할에 미치는 정성적 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study for the Qualitative Effect of Carrier Pin Hole Position Error on Planet Load Sharing of Wind Turbine Three-point Suspension Gearbox)

  • In this study, the qualitative effects of the positional error of carrier pin holes on the planet load sharing characteristics of the three-point suspension gearbox of wind turbines were investigated experimentally. A 35-kW gearbox comprising two planetary gear stages and a parallel gear stage and size one-fourth of that of a 2-MW three-point suspension gearbox was used as the test gearbox. The strain gauges attached to the ring gear teeth of the input planetary gear stage were used for the purpose of this study. The applied loading conditions were 50%, 75%, and 100% of the rated torque, and the mesh load factor was used as the load sharing index. The experimental results indicated that both the magnitude and direction of the positional error of pin holes had a significant effect on the planet load sharing characteristics of the three-point suspension gearbox. In addition, an increase in the applied torque results in uniform load sharing.

풍력발전기용 증속기 시험 장비의 토크 인가 장치 설계 (Design of a Torque Application Device in Test Rig for a Wind Turbine Gearbox)

  • 본 연구는 5.5MW 증속기용 기계식 동력순환 시험 장비의 핵심 기능을 하는 토크 인가 장치의 개발 및 검증에 관한 것으로, 설계 및 해석이 수행되었다. 또한, 시험 장비의 각 부품에 대하여 회전각을 측정하여 비틀림 강성을 확인하였다. 시험체를 제외한 시험 장비에 토크를 인가하여 각 부품의 회전각을 측정한 결과 시험 장비의 비틀림 강성은 정방향에서 231.13 kNm/rad으로 나타났으며, 증속기 1대의 비틀림 강성이 1,064,400 kNm/rad보다 큰 경우 정격 토크를 인가할 수 있다. 따라서 시험 장비의 회전각 한계로 인하여 시험체 증속기의 비틀림 강성에 따라 정격 토크 인가 여부가 결정된다.
