The Selection Proper Materials to Develop Specialized Root Substrate for Working with Bulb Onion Transplanter (양파 정식기용 전용 상토에 적합한 상토 재료 선발)

  • In this study we investigated the suitability of horticultural main organic root substrate materials (peatmoss, coir) for the development proper root substrate for working with bulb onion transplanter. We investigated seedling sprout ratio, growth and characteristics (bulk density, root substrate cohesion) those are suitable for mechanical transplanting by mixing with inorganic materials(red clay etc.). Although both seedling growth and root substrate bulk density were similar in peatmoss and coir based root substrates, we found that peatmoss mixing had higher root substrate cohesion compared to coir mixing. We assume that higher cohesion properties of peatmoss based root substrate will give more weight of root part during mechanical transplanting of young onion seedlings in the field. Because of this, we suggest that peatmoss is the appropriate ingredient for developing root substrates for working with bulb onion transplanter.

Simulation Model for Monitering Food Contaminants during Kimchi Fermentation (김치 숙성 중 생물학적 이물질 혼입 검지 모니터링)

  • A simulation model was developed to monitor food contamination during the ripening process of Kimchi on a factory scale. The cabbages were divided into three groups: control (without salt or red pepper), samples with added salt, and samples with added salt and red pepper. The processed Kimchi was left to ripen in a refrigerator at $4^{\circ}C$ and five frog heads (contaminant) left on the surface of the cabbages in each group. For the control, the contaminant exhibited a long life span of 10 days or more, however, for the samples with salt and samples with salt and red pepper, the contaminant showed a relatively short life span. In particular, for the processed Kimchi that included salt and red pepper, the life-span of the contaminant was dramatically decreased to around 3 days. Therefore, the present results suggest that the proposed simulation trial is suitable for monitoring contamination during Kimchi production. Moreover, since the contaminant could not survive more than 3 days, this suggests that the salt concentration in the Kimchi damaged the permeability of the skin and other tissue membranes.

DCT-Based Images Retrieval for Rotated Images (회전에 견고한 DCT 기반 영상 검색)

  • The image retrieval generally shows the same or similar images to a query image as a result. In the case of rotated image, however, its performance tends to be debased significantly. We propose a method to ensure a reliable image retrieval of rotated images as follows; First, to obtain feature points of query/DB images by Harris Corner Detector; and then, utilizing the feature points, to find the object's axis and query/DB images into rotation invariant images with Principal Components Analysis algorithm. We have experimented with 6,000 natural images which are 256 pixels in diameter. They are 1,000 Wang's images and their rotated images by $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$. The simulation results show that the proposed method retrieves rotated images more effectively than the conventional method.

  • In the 21st century of information systems, the amount of information resources are ever increasing and the role of information searching system is becoming criticalto easily acquire required information from the web. Generally, it requires the user to have enough pre-knowledge and superior capabilities to identify keywords of information to effectively search the web. However, most of the users undertake searching of the information without holding enough pre-knowledge and spend a lot of time associating key words which are related to their required information. Furthermore, many search engines support the keywords searching system but this only provides collection of similar words, and do not provide the user with exact relational search information with the keywords. Therefore this research report proposes a method of offering expanded user relationship search keywords by analyzing user query patterns to provide the user a system, which conveniently support their searching of the information.

Physicochemical Properties of a Mixture of Dried Food Waste Powder with Organic Fertilizer and Effects on the Growth of Major Leafy Vegetable (음식물류 폐기물 건조분말과 유기질비료 혼합물의 이화학적 특성 및 주요 엽채류 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the application effects of dried food waste powder (FWP) and mixtures of FWP and organic fertilizer (MFOs) on the growth of lettuce and Chinese cabbage. The physicochemical properties of FWP and MFOs were analyzed. As FWPs containing 3.11% NaCl was applied at 250 kg, 500 kg and 1,000 kg per 10a, growth factors of lettuce and Chinese cabbage, such as a number of leaf, leaf length, leaf width, and dry weight were decreased than those of control appling organic fertilizer. The higher the FWP ratio in the MFOs, the lower the concentrations of N and P2O5 in the MFOs, while the higher the concentration of NaCl. As compared to dry weight of control after treating MFOs, lettuce were not significant in MFOs treatments containing 10~30% FWP, and Chinese cabbage in MFOs treatment containing 10% FWP.

  • 마우스(ICR mouse)의 줄생전 ·후 발생에 따른 설점막에서 설유두와 미뢰의 발생, 미뢰를 구성하는 미각세포들의 각 형별 미세구조적인 특징 및 미각세포와 신경종말과의 관계를 광학 및 전자현미경으로 관찰하였다. 유곽유두는 임신 17일 심상유두와 엽상유두는 출생 후 0일, 사상유두는 출생후 1일에 출현하였으며, 유곽유두와 심상유두에서의 미뢰는 출생 후 0일, 엽상유두에서의 미뢰는 출생후 1일에 관찰되었다. 유곽유두에서는 유두벽 상피 뿐만 아니라 유두 표면상피에서도 성체에서와는 다르게 미뢰가 출현하였다. 출생후 7일과 15일에서 유곽유두의 미뢰에 대한 미세구조적 관찰에서 미각세포는 중간형 세포. 암세포, 명세포, 기저세포 및 주변세포로 구분되었다 중간형 세포는 암세포와 명세포의 중간정도의 전자밀도를 보이는 세포로서 세포질에서는 활면 및 조면소포체가 다수 관찰되었고. 세포질 및 핵질내에서 다소포성소체와 유사한 구조물들이 관찰되었다. 암세포는 전자밀도가 높아 어둡게 보였고. 핵막은 깊은 함입을 보였다 이 세포의 핵주변 세포질에는 미토콘드리아, 섬유상 물질, 조면소포체 및 폴리솜들이 다수 관찰되었으며, 첨부 세포질에서는 전자밀도가 높아 어둡게 보이는 과립들이 다수 관찰되었다. 명세포는 전자밀도가 낮아 밝게 보였고, 크고 등근 핵을 갖고 있었으며. 세포질내에서 활면소포체, 폴리솜 그리고 크고 작은 공포들이 다수, 조면소포체들은 소수 관찰되었다. 기저세포는 핵질이 풍부한 난원형의 핵을 갖고 있었으며, 전자밀도가 낮아 밝게 보였고, 유리리보솜들은 많았으나, 활면 및 조면소포체들은 소수 관찰되었다 주변세포는 비교적 긴 방추형의 세포로 얕은 핵막 함입들을 보였고, 대부분의 세포소기 관들은 미약하였으나 유리리보솜들은 다소 많이 관찰되었다. 출생후 7일에는 명세포, 15일에는 중간형 세포들이 다른 세포에 비하여 다수 출현하였다 출생후 미각세포들의 형태적 특징 및 세포소기 관들의 분화들로 미루어 암세포 주변세포 및 기저세포는 미성숙세포, 중간형 세포는 미각기능이 활발한 성숙한 세포 그리고 명세포는 퇴행성 세포로 생각된다.

Texture Classification Using Wavelet-Domain BDIP and BVLC Features With WPCA Classifier (웨이브렛 영역의 BDIP 및 BVLC 특징과 WPCA 분류기를 이용한 질감 분류)

  • In this paper, we propose a texture classification using wavelet-domain BDIP (block difference of inverse probabilities) and BVLC (block variance of local correlation coefficients) features with WPCA (whitened principal component analysis) classifier. In the proposed method, the wavelet transform is first applied to a query image. The BDIP and BVLC operators are next applied to the wavelet subbands. Global moments for each subband of BDIP and BVLC are then computed and fused into a feature vector. In classification, the WPCA classifier, which is usually adopted in the face identification, searches the training feature vector most similar to the query feature vector. Experimental results show that the proposed method yields excellent texture classification with low feature dimension for test texture image DBs.

A Study on Effectiveness of Chronic Disease Online Program Due to COVID-19 (COVID-19로 인한 만성질환 관리 비대면 프로그램의 효과성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to apply a chronic disease management non-face-to-face program for the prevention and management of chronic disease and to confirm the effect of a one-group pre-and post-design similar experimental study. The program consisted of nursing, nutrition, and exercise programs for 12 weeks. The subjects were 69 adult men and women using the chronic disease management center at public health centers, and the period was from May 3 to August 6, 2021. Systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, fasting blood sugar, BMI, depression, and quality of life were measured before and after the program. Data were analyzed with SPSS 20.0. As a result, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, fasting blood glucose, and quality of life were found to be significant. Depression was not significant, but mild depression was reduced. Developing, applying, and managing various non-face-to-face programs for chronic disease management will contribute to the prevention of chronic diseases and the promotion of health maintenance.

  • The problem of finding clusters is widely used in numerous applications, such as pattern recognition, image analysis, market analysis. The important factors that decide cluster quality are the similarity measure and the number of attributes. Similarity measures should be defined with respect to the data types. Existing similarity measures are well applicable to numerical attribute values. However, those measures do not work well when the data is described by categorical attributes, that is, when no inherent similarity measure between values. In high dimensional spaces, conventional clustering algorithms tend to break down because of sparsity of data points. To overcome this difficulty, a subspace clustering approach has been proposed. It is based on the observation that different clusters may exist in different subspaces. In this paper, we propose a new similarity measure for clustering of high dimensional categorical data. The measure is defined based on the fact that a good clustering is one where each cluster should have certain information that can distinguish it with other clusters. We also try to capture on the attribute dependencies. This study is meaningful because there has been no method to use both of them. Experimental results on real datasets show clusters obtained by our proposed similarity measure are good enough with respect to clustering accuracy.

  • A digital watermarking is a newly developed scheme to embed invisible or inaudible information Into the host data in order to insist the copyright of the owner or the creator. This paper describes a robust data embedding scheme that employs inner product and adaptive quantization. Compared to the previous works for digital watermarking, our proposed scheme can embed relatively large amount of Information, since a secrete key Is not directly relaxed to the watermark data. A secret key is used for the design of random direction vectors. which are taken Inner product with the DCT transformed feature set data. In odder to achieve robustness against malicious attacks. we exploit the Properties of human visual system In designing the random direction vectors which behave as embedded noises. Experimental results show that we can recover the embedded information without utilizing the original host data. We also demonstrate that the ownership assertion is possible even though The watermarked data may undergo common signal processing operations, such as JPEG compression. clopping. and filtering.
