Study on development of the remote control door lock system including speeker verification function in real time (화자 인증 기능이 포함된 실시간 원격 도어락 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The paper attempts to design and implement the system which can remotely check visitors' speech or Image by a mobile phone. This system is designed to recognize who a visitor is through the automatic calling service, not through a short message, via the mobile phone, even when the home owner is outside. In general, door locks are controlled through the home Server, but it is more effective to control door locks by using DTMF signal from a real-time point of view. The technology suggested in this paper makes it possible to communicate between the visiter and the home owner by making a phone call to tile home owner's mobile phone automatically when the visiter visits the house even if the home owner is outside, and if necessary, it allows for the home owner to control the door lock remotely. Thanks to the system, the home owner is not restricted by time or space for checking the visitor's identification and controlling the door lock. In addition, the security system is improved by changing from the existing password form to the combination of password and speaker verification lot the verification procedure required for controlling the door lock and setting the environment under consideration of any disadvantages which may occur when the mobile Phone is lost. Also, any existing problems such as reconnection to tile network for controlling tile door lock are solved by controlling the door lock in real time by use of DTMF signal while on the phone.

An Embedded System Design of Collusion Attack Prevention for Multimedia Content Protection on Ubiquitous Network Environment (유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 보호를 위한 공모공격 방지 임베디드 시스템 설계)

  • This paper proposes the multimedia fingerprinting code insertion algorithm when video content is distributed in P2P environment, and designs the collusion codebook SRP(Small RISC Processor) embedded system for the collusion attack prevention. In the implemented system, it is detecting the fingerprinting code inserted in the video content of the client user in which it requests an upload to the web server and in which if it is certified content then transmitted to the streaming server then the implemented system allowed to distribute in P2P network. On the contrary, if it detects the collusion code, than the implemented system blocks to transmit the video content to the streaming server and discontinues to distribute in P2P network. And also it traces the colluders who generate the collusion code and participates in the collusion attack. The collusion code of the averaging attack is generated with 10% of BIBD code v. Based on the generated collusion code, the codebook is designed. As a result, when the insert quantity of the fingerprinting code is 0.15% upper in bitplane 0~3 of the Y(luminance) element of I-frame at the video compression of ASF for a streaming service and MP4 for an offline offer of video content, the correlation coefficient of the inserted original code and the detected code is above 0.15. At the correlation coefficient is above 0.1 then the detection ratio of the collusion code is 38%, and is above 0.2 then the trace ratio of the colluder is 20%.

A Study on Enhancing VMS Services by FM Car Radio (차량 내 FM라디오를 이용한 VMS서비스 개선 연구)

  • Increasingly advanced Information Technology (IT) has changed the operator so as to create more diversified and advanced traffic information demand. To deal with the changing demand in private sector, a concept of on-demand traffic information has been rapidly introduced. However VMS, a product of the first generation of ITS, which was designed to provide the unspecified individuals during driving the car with the basic level of traffic information by the public failed to actively change itself in such a changing pattern. This study was intended to describe the VMS system (tentatively, FM-VMS) which was further developed to accommodate the needs favoring the sophisticated PDA with the public role of providing the unspecified individuals with the equal information. FM-VMS introduced in this study is the device designed to transmit the voice and message to the drivers through the radio information device mounted on a car. A core technology is, unlike FM-DARC and RDS, the Water Making technology which directly inserts the digital signal into FM frequency in use. It's been currently used for broadcasting and security purpose. A detection rate as a result of testing FM-VMS system using Water Making technology was 90% or more in voice and message within 20m from test VMS. When a public-developed VMS information could be transmitted using FM frequency to the relatively vulnerable users (vulnerable to traffic information) in voice on a real-time basis to provide the regional traffic information, and furthermore, VMS message could be received through radio liquid using FM frequency only, it would obviously bring about the innovation in ITS as well as pave the way for creating the new added value down the road.

IPTV and User Scenario-Based Interface in Home Network Service (홈 네트워크 환경에서 사용자 중심 시나리오를 활용한 IPTV 인터페이스 분석)

  • Due to the development of digital appliance, role of TV causes both-way by introducing IPTV, and SNS service causes big change of watching environment and residence environment. There are good conditions on the role of integrated control because it is arranged in the living room which secures movement most effectively and because family members can easily use, and the degree of use is high. Therefore, we infer user's needs by analyzing user scenario and current role of TV in home network environment. Primarily, we collect surveys of development scenario and technology which companies suggest TV applied by home network service, and secondly, we comparatively study scenario which the companies mentioned above suggest through observing user scenario, and study the role of IPTV in the future through actual scenario-based experiment by ethnography. After analyzing user scenario through case study and experiment, there are integrated device studies mainly in company study because it can be made up inside home, security and entertainment. On the other hand, there are patterns of user behavior by scenario experiment mainly in auto-tainment, security, and it showed that it is insufficient for interaction between TV and home media peripheral. Through this paper, we analyze context of home user, and based on this, we could suggest effective use of service development. Also after analyzing user form, we could know it also should be considered of ratio between activity inside home and activity outside home.

Effective brain-wave DB building system using the five senses stimulation (오감자극을 활용한 효율적인 뇌파 DB구축 시스템)

  • Ubiquitous systems have grown explosively over the few years. Nowadays users' needs for high qualify service lead a various type of user terminals. One of various type of user interface, various types of effective human computer interface methods have been developed. In many researches, researchers have focused on using brain-wave interface, that is to say, BCI. Nowadays, researches which are related to BCI are under way to find out effective methods. But, most researches which are related to BCI are not centralized and not systematic. These problems brought about ineffective results of researches. In most researches related in HCI, that is to say - pattern recognition, the most important foundation of the research is to build correct and sufficient DB. But there is no effective and reliable standard research conditions when researchers are gathering brain-wave in BCI. Subjects as well as researchers do not know effective methods for gathering DB. Researchers do not know how to instruct subjects and subjects also do not know how to follow researchers' instruction. To solve these kinds of problems, we propose effective brain-wave DB building system using the five senses stimulation. Researcher instructs the subject to use the five senses. Subjects imagine the instructed senses. It is also possible for researchers to distinguish whether brain-wave is right or not. In real time, researches verify gathered brain-wane data using spectrogram. To verify effectiveness of our proposed system, we analyze the spectrogram of gathered brain-wave DB and pattern. On the basis of spectrogram and pattern analysis, we propose an effective brain-wave DB building method using the five senses stimulation.

Spatio-Temporal Semantic Sensor Web based on SSNO (SSNO 기반 시공간 시맨틱 센서 웹)

  • According to the recent development of the ubiquitous computing environment, the use of spatio-temporal data from sensors with GPS is increasing, and studies on the Semantic Sensor Web using spatio-temporal data for providing different kinds of services are being actively conducted. Especially, the W3C developed the SSNO(Semantic Sensor Network Ontology) which uses sensor-related standards such as the SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) of OGC and defines classes and properties for expressing sensor data. Since these studies are available for the query processing about non-spatio-temporal sensor data, it is hard to apply them to spatio-temporal sensor data processing which uses spatio-temporal data types and operators. Therefore, in this paper, we developed the SWE based on SSNO which supports the spatio-temporal sensor data types and operators expanding spatial data types and operators in "OpenGIS Simple Feature Specification for SQL" by OGC. The system receives SensorML(Sensor Model Language) and O&M (Observations and Measurements) Schema and converts the data into SSNO. It also performs the efficient query processing which supports spatio-temporal operators and reasoning rules. In addition, we have proved that this system can be utilized for the web service by applying it to a virtual scenario.

Study on the Standardization of Management Form through Integrated Management of CCTV (CCTV 통합관리를 위한 관리대장 표준화 연구)

  • Closed-circuit television(CCTV) is a facility that forms the backbone of the ubiquitous services provided by the Integrated Management Center of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Integrated Control Center of the Ministry of the Interior. However, it is installed and managed according to different laws, as it is operated and managed by each department. Moreover, because there are no regulatory grounds for unified management of CCTV, each municipality responsible for the actual management manages it based on the individual standards of each department. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop a standardized management form to establish an integrated management plan. The author inspected the existing situation by examining the legal system and public data and through hands-on worker interviews, and discovered the managed element by reviewing the specifications of the bidding system. The management form for integrated management comprises the above requirements along with the management histories and linkage of intelligent facilities. A uniform management form for integrated management containing specifications of the CCTVs installed by various departments is created, and is easily searched for facilities to check requirements for joint use. The result of this study can contribute to building the database of facility management system for integrated management of facilities at the integrated management center as well as for a detailed simulation of the selection of location of CCTV depending on the CCTV's specifications.

A Similarity-based Inference System for Identifying Insects in the Ubiquitous Environments (유비쿼터스 환경에서의 유사도 기반 곤충 종 추론검색시스템)

  • Since insects play important roles in existence of plants and other animals in the natural environment, they are considered as necessary biological resources from the perspectives of those biodiversity conservation and national utilization strategy. For the conservation and utilization of insect species, an observational learning environment is needed for non-experts such as citizens and students to take interest in insects in the natural ecosystem. The insect identification is a main factor for the observational learning. A current time-consuming search method by insect classification is inefficient because it needs much time for the non-experts who lack insect knowledge to identify insect species. To solve this problem, we proposed an smart phone-based insect identification inference system that helps the non-experts identify insect species from observational characteristics in the natural environment. This system is based on the similarity between the observational information by an observer and the biological insect characteristics. For this system, we classified the observational characteristics of insects into 27 elements according to order, family, and species, and proposed similarity indexes to search similar insects. In addition, we developed an insect identification inference prototype system to show this study's viability and performed comparison experimentation between our system and a general insect classification search method. As the results, we showed that our system is more effective in identifying insect species and it can be more efficient in search time.

A Research of LEACH Protocol improved Mobility and Connectivity on WSN using Feature of AOMDV and Vibration Sensor (AOMDV의 특성과 진동 센서를 적용한 이동성과 연결성이 개선된 WSN용 LEACH 프로토콜 연구)

  • As the growth of ubiquitous services, various types of ad hoc networks have emerged. In particular, wireless sensor networks (WSN) and mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are widely known ad hoc networks, but there are also other kinds of wireless ad hoc networks in which the characteristics of the aforementioned two network types are mixed together. This paper proposes a variant of the Low Energy Adaptive Cluster Hierarchy (LEACH) routing protocol modified to be suitable in such a combined network environment. That is, the proposed routing protocol provides node detection and route discovery/maintenance in a network with a large number of mobile sensor nodes, while preserving node mobility, network connectivity, and energy efficiency. The proposed routing protocol is implemented with a multi-hop multi-path algorithm, a topology reconfiguration technique using node movement estimation and vibration sensors, and an efficient path selection and data transmission technique for a great many moving nodes. In the experiments, the performance of the proposed protocol is demonstrated by comparing it to the conventional LEACH protocol.

Classification of the Architectures of Web based Expert Systems (웹기반 전문가시스템의 구조 분류)

  • According to the expansion of the Internet use and the utilization of e-business, there are an increasing number of studies of intelligent-based systems for the preparation of ubiquitous environment. In addition, expert systems have been developed from Stand Alone types to web-based Client-Server types, which are now used in various Internet environments. In this paper, we investigated the environment of development for web-based expert systems, we classified and analyzed them according to type, and suggested general typical models of web-based expert systems and their architectures. We classified the web-based expert systems with two perspectives. First, we classified them into the Server Oriented model and Client Oriented model based on the Load Balancing aspect between client and server. Second, based on the degree of knowledge and inference-sharing, we classified them into the No Sharing model, Server Sharing model, Client Sharing model and Client-Server Sharing model. By combining them we derived eight types of web-based expert systems. We also analyzed the location problems of Knowledge Bases, Fact Bases, and Inference Engines on the Internet, and analyzed the pros & cons, the technologies, the considerations, and the service types for each model. With the framework proposed from this study, we can develop more efficient expert systems in future environments.
