A Study of Somatotype Discrimination for Middle-aged Women (중년여성의 체형분류 및 판별에 관한 연구)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 중년여성들의 체형을 분류하고 이들 체형을 분류하는 판별기준을 세우고자 하는 것이다. 이 연구에서 개발한 판별방법은 중년여성들의 체형을 간편하게 판별할 수 있도록 해주므로 이 방법을 활용하여 중년여성복을 제작할 경우, 소비자들은 인체적합도가 높은 의복을 구입 할 수 있고 의류업 체들은 이에 따른 매출증대를 가져올 수 있다. 연구의 진행절차와 이에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 만 40세~59세 중년여성 279명에 대 한 인체 계측을 하였다. 인체 계측항목은 34개의 직접 계측항목과 측면사진 촬영을 통한 3개의 간접계측항목,11개의 지수치, 5개의 계산치 등의 총 53개 항목이다. 인체 계측치에 대한 통계분석 방법으로는 분산분석과 SNK검정, 판별분석 방법을 사용하였다. 2. 피험자는 몇 가지 체형으로 분류되었다. 상반신 체형분류는 인체측면 자세와 유방크기를 분류기준으로 하여 바른-유방중소 체형, 바른-유방대 체형, 젖힌-유방중소 체형 , 숙인/휜-유방중소 체형, 숙인/휜-유방대 체형의 5가지로 분류하였다. 하반신 체형분류는 배와 엉덩이의 돌출정도에 따라 분류하여 배정상-엉덩이정상 체형, 배 정상-엉덩이돌출 체형, 배돌출-엉덩이정상 체형 , 배돌출-엉덩이돌출 체형의 4가지로 분류하였다. 3. 분류된 체형은 다음의 판별변수에 따라 체형이 판별되었다. 상반신 체 형 의 판별변수는 앞품/뒤품, 가슴둘레/밑가슴둘레 , 앞길이/뒤 길이, 앞허리선$\longrightarrow$어깨선 길이/어깨선$\longrightarrow$뒤허 리선 길이의 4가지 항목이고, 하반신 판별변수는 엉덩이상부각도, 배 하부각도, 배상부 각도, 엉덩이둘레/엉덩이 최대둘레, 뒤엉덩이둘레의 5가지 항목이다. 상반신 체 형과 하반신 체형 판별함수 모두 70% 이상의 높은 적중률을 나타내었다.

A Study on Breast Type Classification & Discrimination Using Manual Measurement- Focusing on Korean Women in Their 20s -

  • The manual measurements of 182 unmarried women subjects in their 20s was classified 4-breast types. For the breast type classification, 4 factors were identified, such as overall breast factor, upper breast internal shape factor, breast volume factor, and lower breast external shape factor. The breast shapes were 'breast with well-grown upper part', 'flat breast', 'breast with well-grown lower part', and 'protruded breast'. The breast types can be differentiated in 10 items of actual anthropometric dimension the length between frontal neck point and nipple point, length between lateral neck point and nipple point, length between the breast inner points, nipple to nipple breadth, diameter below the breast, inner depth of breast, outer length of breast, length below the breast, length between breast outer point and upper breast point, and contour line length below the breast.

Classification of Size System of Brassiere According to the breast types for Improvement of the Wearing Comfort (착용 기능성 개선을 위한 유방 형태별 브래지어 치수체계 설정)

  • This study was peformed to establish the standard size system to be required for the production of brassiere. The subject were 155 Korean twenties-aged women and were directly measured anthropometrically. From 27 measurements, 5 factors were extracted through factor analysis. The accumulative contribution ratio is 76.92%. Factor 1 indicates the degree of obesity around the chest, factor 2 is the drooping degree of breast, factor 3 is the contours and prominence, factor 4 is the breast breadth and breadth of bust point, factors 5 is the volume of breast. The subject were classified into 3 cluster as their breast types through cluster analysis. Type 1 is the closest to the ideal breast shape and not too droopy. This group belonged to 75A. Type 2 has small breast and belonged to 70AA group. Type 3 is the obesest and has the biggest and droopy breast. This group belonged to 75B. The distribution of size of brassiere had 3 sections from 70 to 80 showing a rate of 81.94% and the sin of the cup had 4 sections from AAA cup to B cup showing a rate of 89.70%. The production ratio of each brassiere size, it was found that the brassiere size of highest production ratio was 75A(16.39%) in type 1,70AA(16.27%) in type 2, and 75B(13.72%) in type 3. This suggests that it is necessary to adjust for the production rate of brassieres.

A Study on The Perceived Breast Shapes of Adult Women according to the Age (성인여성의 연령에 따른 유방형태 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to the development of a quality brassiere featuring a good wearing feeling and an effect of reinstating and correcting breast shape. For this purpose, 220 adult women aged between 20 and 59 were sampled to survey their perceived and actual breast shapes. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. Most adult women correctly perceive the changes of their breast shapes as they become older. However, the younger women tend to evaluate their breast as larger than their actual sizes, being more dissatisfied with their breast shapes than older women, while wanting their constitution to be more high and slim. In short, there is a little difference between their perceived and actual breast shapes. 2. The breast shape perceived most by the adult women is "droopy type I"(37.7%), followed by "conical type"(21.8%), "flat type"(16.8%), "semi-circular"(10.8%), "droopy type II"(8.6%) and "extruded type"(5.0%) in their order. The younger women tend to perceive their breasts as "flat", "conical" or "semi-circular", while the older women tend to perceive their breasts as "droopy". 3. According to the increase of age, the items of height were decreased and items of width, depth, circumference and length were increased, being obser and breast point were drooped. so volume and bottom area of breast of 40ㆍ50's women's age group were larger than 20?30's women's age group and breast point width of 40ㆍ50's women was being wider by increase of interior dimensions of breast.

A Study on the functional pattern design for brassiere-focusing on large-breasted women- (기능성 브래지어 패턴디자인 연구 -돌출.하수 유방유형을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop designs and patterns of a functional brassiere. For this purpose, women who have protruding and drooping breasts with 75B for their brassiere size were sampled. The fitting test for the fitness and function of test brassiere and control brassiere were carried out twice and compared the results from the both in terms of front, rear and side looks. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The results from measuring the level of sag and spread, and volume and protrusion of breasts shows that there are some distinctive differences in the measurements before and after wearing the test brassiere and the test brassiere is proved to be very effective in correcting breasts' shapes. 2. Front look: Since the two front cutting lines of the test brassiere served to have the curved main part pressing against the breasts, it could support breasts to more than satisfactory level. In addition, upperline panel and side panels of the test brassiere were found to have the upperline of the upper cup pressed against the breasts and at the same time it pressed and gathered the flab around upper part of the breasts and armpits that helped to rearrange the shape of the breasts. It is also proved that the two-pieced test brassier was found to be more functional in supporting the lower cup of the breasts. 3. Rear look: The test brassier was made up of two wide U-shaped wings with 2.5cm tape on its lower sides. Each wing has 4 lines and 3 hems (5.5cm). For this reason, the test brassiere was tighter and better fitted on its back. 4. Side look and entire look: The wings of the test brassiere might look wider than that of the control brassier which has conventional straight-shaped wings, but it was analyzed that the test brassiere held the upper and lower sides of the wings more effectively to be more pressed against the breast. Therefore, the test brassiere scored higher in terms of adjusting to body movements, while the control brassiere looked better in overall terms. 5. The functional brassier fur protruding and drooping breasts developed from the experiments of this study is a full side stretch brassiere which covers the entire breasts satisfactorily.
