In recent years, recycling process has come to be necessary for separating metals, glass fibers and polymer from WPCBs (waste printed circuit boards) due to an increasing amount of electronic device waste. In this study, dimethylformamide (DMF) and attrition mill reactor were used to separate the component such as metals, glass fiber and epoxy resin from WPCBs. Separation of glass fiber from WPCBs was carried out under stirring rates 300~600 revolution per minute (rpm) for 1~2 h as the various agitator. The recycled glass fibers (RGF) were analyzed by thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) for degree of separation of epoxy resin in the WPCBs. The degree of separation of epoxy resin of WPCBs increased in attrition mill agitator as a mechanochemical process for recycling WPCBs. The RGF separated in the WPCBs was applied as a reinforcement in the RGF/unsaturated polyester composites to reuse as a reinforcement.

Waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) contain valuable metals such as Cu, Ni, Au, Ag, and Pd. For an effective recycling of WPCBs, it is essential to recover the valuable metals. In recent years, recycling processes have come to be necessary for separating noble metals from WPCBs due to an increasing amount of electronic device wastes. However, it is well known that glass reinforced epoxy resins in the WPCBs are difficult materials to separate into elemental components, namely metals, glass fibers and epoxy resins in the chemical recycling process. $K_3PO_4$ as a catalyst in dimethylformamide (DMF) and N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) was used to depolymerize epoxy resins for recovering metallic and non-metallic components from WPCBs. Reactions of WPCBs were carried out at temperatures $160{\sim}200^{\circ}C$ for 2~12 h. The recycled glass fiber from WPCBs was analyzed by thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and evaluated the degree of solubility of the epoxy resin for separation efficiencies of the WPCBs.

A canard type aircraft, which has good wing stall and stall/spin proof characteristics, is being developed. The previous first and second prototypes, having full depth core sandwich type wing and fixed landing gear, was built for test flights. Newly developing Firefly will be equipped with retractable landing gear and conventional foam core sandwich laminate for wing and fuselage. For manufacturing, composite material process has been studied including coupon tests. Wet lay-up onto foam core with glass fabric using lay-up mold has been chosen, and composite material parts are cured under room temperature and atmospheric pressure condition. In general, molded parts show so good surface smoothness and standardized quality that are best in mass production. In this study, we present the mold technology and development status for small aircraft firefly.

We studied the anti-oxidant and anti-aging activities of Sericinjam Gland Hydrolysate (SJGH) in the human dermal fibroblasts. SJGH effectively defended cell death and ROS generation under high H2O2 in human dermal fibroblasts. Moreover SJGH reduced the expression of SA-${\beta}$-Gal and MMP-1 under low concentration of $H_2O_2$ whereas biosynthesis of procollagen-I was increased. This results demonstrate the anti-oxidant and anti-aging activities of SJGH. SJGH could be a good candidate for anti-aging cosmetics ingredient.
The chemical composition of 13 different Korean green tea products made from various kinds of tea trees and processing methods was analyzed. The distinct changes in the chemical composition noticed by the harvesting time of tea leaves. The content of crude protein decreased and the contents of crude fat and crude fiber increased as the harvesting runs proceeded. The contents of tanic substances and total sugar tended to increase while caffein content decreased as the runs proceeded. The contents of some organic acids reached to the maximum at the second run of harvest. Steamed leaves had higher chlorophyll content than roasted one, and it resulted in the brighter green and more yellow color of steamed tea products.
The chemical components in freeze dried Korean Gastrodia elata blume powder were analyzed. The proximate composition was composed of moisture(2.12%), crude protein (4.41%), crude fat(1.20%), crude ash(2.25%), crude fiber(4.60%) and N-free extract(85.15%). Free sugar was composed of glucose(1,314mg%), sucrose(1,081mg%) and fructose(869mg%). Total organic acid content was 2,095mg% and composed of succinic acid(1,238mg%), citric acid, malic acid, oxalic acid and fumaric acid in the order. Among the 11 fatty acids detected, linoleic acid was the most predominant one and unsaturated fatty acid was 80.55 area percent. 18 and 39 amino acids were detected from total and free amino acid, respectively. Arginine, asparagine, proline and sarcosine were the major components of free amino acid. The content of crude saponin and total phenol were 3,768mg% and 821mg%, respectively. Ascorbic acid(6.4mg%), vitamin B1(1.2mg%), vitamin B2(1.7mg%) and niacinamide(0.2m%) were detected as soluble vitamins of the powder. The content of vitamin A and vitamin E was 1.22mg% and 0.32%, respectively.
We have studied the effect of silk proteins to the cell proliferation of human skin fibroblast cells (CCD-986sk) after injury. Silk proteins were extracted treatment with enzyme or NaOH solution from raw silk and culled-cocoon shell of Bombyx mori, Antheraea yamamai and A. pernyi. The cell proliferation after in vitro injury are increased in treatment by Bombyx mori (BM-1,2), Antheraea yamami (AY-1,2) and A. pernyi (AP-1,2). The silk protein fractions-treated cells exhibited proliferation in a dose dependent between $0.1\;{\mu}g/ml$ and $10\;{\mu}g/ml$. But, the macrophage, RAW 264. 7 cell viability was unaffected by the silk protein fractions by MTT assay. The molecular weights of the silk protein fractions were from 300-600 to 900-1500. These results results that the silk protein fractions may function through skin fibroblast proliferation.
