A Study on the Moving Object Tracking Algorithm of Static Camera and Active Camera in Environment (고정카메라 및 능동카메라 환경에서 이동물체 추적 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • An effective algorithm for implementation of which detects moving object from image sequences. predicts the direction of it. and drives the camera in real time is proposed. In static camera, for robust motion detection from a dynamic background scene, the proposed algorithm performs statistical modeling of moving objects and background, and trains the statistical modeling of moving objects and background, and trains the statistical feature of background with the initial parts of sequence which have no moving objects. Active camera moving objects are segmented by following procedure, an improved order adaptive lattice structured linear predictor is used. The proposed algorithm shows robust object tracking results in the environment of static or active camera. It can be used for the unmanned surveillance system, traffic monitoring system, and autonomous vehicle.

  • Based on the rapid development of IT technology and deployment of the Internet through high speed networks, network environments have been changed from office oriented environment based on business industries and public institution even to the interconnection to digital electronics in the home network. Home network based applications are very diverse and the remote monitoring and control areas have been studied. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of real time remote video monitoring system which provide the moving pictures on the web page through the Internet using JMFI. In addition, we present the design of remote light control system based on Zigbee.

  • Effects of operating variables on solid separation rate in two-interconnected fluidized beds system for selective solid circulation have been investigated. Coarse(212~300 or $425{\sim}600{\mu}m$) and fine($63{\sim}106{\mu}m$) particles were separated using the solid separator and the solid separation rate was ranged from 66 to 987 g/min. The solid separation rate increased as the gas velocity through the solid injection nozzle, solid height, diameter of solid injection nozzle, particle size of coarse particles, aperture of the solid separator, and weight fraction of fines in the solid mixture increased. However, the effect of the fluidization velocity was negligible.

  • Fan noise prediction method is presented for air conditioning and/or cooling system applications where fan acts as an internal equipment having very complicated flow interaction with other various system components. The internal flow paths and distribution in the fan-applied systems such as computer or air conditioner are analyzed by using the FNM(Flow Network Modeling) with the flow resistances for flow elements of the system. Based on the fan operation point predicted from the FNM analysis results, the present fan noise model predicts overall sound power, pressure levels and spectrum. The predictions of the flow distribution, the fan operation and the noise level in electronic system by the present method are well agreed with 3-D CFD and actual noise test results.

  • Fan selection procedure and fan noise evaluation method are presented for the system electronic cooling by combining FNM(Flow Network Model) and fan noise correlation model.   • Recently, Telecommunication companies have introduced a new network architecture that assigns network resources consistent and protects their systems more secure. Now, they provide multimedia services through various types of access networks. In this study, I'd like to introduce IP address assignment method based on the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and find out how success or failure of Ip address assignment will be taken place according to the booting order of xDSL modem, AP and PC.

  • In this paper, we have shown the gain recovery time of erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA) in WDM add/drop networks can be reduced to less than $3\mu$sec by employing disturbance observer technique with PID controller which is based on 3-level EBFA model. The $3\mu$sec transient time is the fastest one ever reported and it is about $1\%$ of $250\mu$sec previously obtained from disturbance observer technique with PI controller which was based on 2-level EDFA model and it is also less than $200\mu$sec of commercially available EDFAs for WDM networks. We were able to obtain this result by analyzing various system characteristics as we change the parameters of disturbance observer and PID controller. If this result is applied to a commercial product, the product will do an important role in the future dynamic WDM networks.

  • 전력선 가입자망은 그 잠재적인 활용도가 매우 높아 국내외 전력 회사들의 관심도가 매우 높아지고 있다. 기존의 단순한 전력 공급만을 목적으로 하던 수용가의 전력선을 통신망으로 이용하면 전기 이용은 물론 정보가전기기, 컴퓨터 기기 등의 홈 네트워킹, 홈 오토메이션 및 인터넷 통신이 가능하게 됨으로써 관련 업종의 경쟁력 제고와 전력 사용기기를 최적 제어함으로써 가정의 편리성과 에너지 효율을 극대화 할 수 있다. 또한 전력선망을 보유한 전력회사에서는 원격 수요관리, 검침 및 자동화 기술을 통하여 보다 효율적인 전력 운영과 수용가 이익을 증대화 시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전력선 통신을 이용하여 원격검침, 수요관리, 고객 관리 및 전력 정보 제공, 심야전력 관리 및 감시 등의 다양한 서비스를 경제적으로 제공하기 위하여 우리나라 실정에 맞는 전력부가 서비스 시스템의 주요 기기들을 설계하고 개발한다.

A Study on the Coagulant Dosing Control Based on Neural Network and Streaming Current Detector for Water Treatment Plant (신경망과 유동전류계를 이용한 정수장 응집제 주입제어에 관한 연구)

  • Coagulation process is one of the most important processes in water treatment procedures for stable and economical operation, and coagulant dosing of this process for most plants is generally determined by the jar test. However, this method does not only take a long time to analyze and get the result but also has difficulties in applying to automatic control. This paper shows the feasibility of applying neural network to control the coagulant dosing automatically in water treatment plant. To be specific, the predicted results of the neural network model is shown to be similar to that of jar test. The input variables for learning the neural network are turbidity, water temperature, pH, and alkalinity. Combining the neural network and SCD(Streaming Current Detector) for feedforward and feedback control of injecting coagulant, a rapid change of the raw water quality can be accommodated.
