Influence of Merchandise Composition on the Competitiveness for the Korean Open Air Market (재래시장의 상품구성이 재래시장 활성화에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the strategic implication of the Korean open air market by examining the factors affecting their competitiveness. I have undertaken empirical research that uses the methodology of a mixture regression modeling, as a way to ascertain the determinants of competitiveness for the Korean open air market. I construct a mixture regression model which uses the proportions of merchandise categories as explanatory variables and the number of visitors as a dependent variable. The analysis of results show that competitive and non-competitive markets have different proportions of merchandise categories. The finding shows that stock farm products and home appliances are major influencers on the number of visitors in neighborhood markets. The finding also presents that stock farm products and processed foods are major influencers on the number of visitors in small & medium-sized city markets.

  • 최근의 많은 기업에서는 방대한 고객 데이터베이스를 활용하여 자사의 경쟁력을 갖추는 방안으로써 데이터마이닝을 선택하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 데이터마이닝을 활용해 손해보험사의 데이터베이스를 분석하여 자동차보험 고객의 이탈을 방지하는 이탈고객 스코어링 모델을 개발하였다. 분석방법론으로는 의사결정나무와 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였으며 기업에서의 데이터마이닝을 위한 일련의 과정을 상세히 기술하고 기업의 데이터베이스가 가지고 있는 문제점을 지적하였다.

  • 유동인구 예측은 상권의 특성에 따른 점포의 입지 선정 및 고객 맞춤형 마케팅 등 민간 분야에서부터 교통망 등 사회 간접 자본 설계를 위한 공공 분야에 이르기까지 다양한 목적으로 연구되어 왔으며, 최근에는 Covid-19 의 확산에 따라 그 중요도가 더욱 높아지고 있다. 보다 정교한 예측을 위해서는 전체적인 유동 인구 뿐만 아니라 특성 별로 세분화된 하위 그룹에 대해서도 정확한 예측이 요구되나, 기존의 예측 모델들은 이러한 데이터의 계층 구조를 고려하지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 세분화된 하위 그룹 별 유동인구의 예측 정확도를 높이기 위해 전체 유동인구의 패턴을 동시에 활용하는 Global-Local 구조 기반의 Deep Learning 유동인구 분석 모델을 제안한다. 실험 결과 단일 시계열 데이터만을 사용하는 경우 대비 5.4%~52.6%의 예측 오류 감소 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 사무자동화 시스템 연구 대상인 (주)현대 자동차 홍성 정비 센터는 1급 정비센터로 지역 제일의 정비업체로서 일괄 정비 체계와 경쟁력 있는 기술력을 갖추고 있지만 늘어나는 업무량에 비해 체계적인 사무자동화 시스템이 운영되고 있지 못하여 업무효율이 떨어지고 있다. 현재 사용되고 있는 시스템은 각 부서의 업무에 따라 다른 프로그램을 사용하여 업무처리에 비효율적이므로 고객에 대한 질 높은 서비스 제공과 사무처리의 효율성을 높이기 위해 시스템 개선이 요구되고 있다 따라서, 본 논문에서는 부품의 관리와 고객서비스, 사무관리 등 정비센터 관리 전반에 걸친 통합관리에 의한 보다 효율적인 사무 자동화 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 업무의 전산화로 정확성과 효율을 극대화시켰으며, 실시간 부품 현황 파악, 사원들의 업무량을 파악 및 통계 냄으로써 인사고가 및 포상의 자료로 활용할 수 있도록 하였으며 고객에 대한 질 높은 서비스 제공 및 정확한 업무처리로 고객의 신뢰도 향상 둥의 사무처리 효과를 가져 올 수 있도록 하였다.

A study on the service satisfaction of Chinese mobile Apps -Comparing paid and free services- (중국 모바일 앱 서비스 만족에 관한연구 -유료와 무료 모바일 서비스의 비교-)

  • The role of smartphones is changing from a communication system for exchanging calls and information into a universal platform for cultural services. Also, satisfaction for mobile application services on smartphones is a very important factor in the smart business. In This paper, we analyze the effects of the outcome, service scape, costs, and especially the impact of whether costumers having to pay or free for the app on customer satisfaction. For this purpose, we analyzed survey data on service quality of mobile app service from Chinese mobile app service users. We also analyzed the moderating effects of paid and free mobile app services. As a result, it was confirmed that the quality, servicescape quality and cost of mobile app service that customers perceive have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, the effect of the cost of mobile app service perceived by the customer on customer satisfaction showed that free mobile app service was more significant than paid mobile app service. This paper can be used as an alternative to monetization for providing a mobile app service provider or a mobile app service provider who wants to switch mobile app service from free to paid service.

A Study on Policy Suggestions of Commercial District Revitalization through the Interaction between Local Commercial Districts and Customer Component : The Way of Revitalizing Commercial Districts in Cheonan City (지역상권과 고객구성의 상호작용을 통한 상권활성화에 관한 정책제안 - 천안상권 활성화 방안을 중심으로 -)

  • This study is in the purpose for the revitalization of traditional market as comparing to the relevancy between the central characteristics of a floating population going around for buying something or eating food and lots of small-sized businesses comprising of the commercial districts. The several traditional markets such as Cheonan station, Dujeong-dong, Sinbu-dong in Cheon-An city has been investigated repeatedly almost every two or three years by the Small Enterprise development Agency(SEDA) since 2001. By analyzing the raw data of those commercial districts made by SEDA, we can calculate the number of firms andthe ratio of business type of each commercial districts. In this research, the type of each business is classified into four groups such as restaurant, service, retail and the rest. Moreover, the central character of the floating population is derived from the raw data, which means the customer information about sex, age structure or the most populous time zones. From these characteristics, one commercial districts has his own specific features distinguishing from the others. The most important differences of past researches are firstly the dynamic viewpoint rather than a static one. Secondly it suggests that the relation between the central characteristics of districts and the floating population would exist. Lastly, it suggests that the interaction between both of them have a significant effect on the growth or decline of the districts and the rates of business type, other adjacent commercial districts as well. Eventually, this study provides several meaningful points for the revitalization of commercial districts to government or stakeholder such as management organization, business owners and new starter etc.

  • 수원역의 역세권 내에는 경기도청을 비롯한 각종 행정기관이 밀집되어 있고, 9개의 대학 및 46개의 국.공.사립교육기관과 대기업체 공장 등이 있어 역사의 기능이 이미 포화상태를 넘어서고 있다. 이러한 유동인구의 증가에 대응하고 역사 이용고객의 편의를 고려하여 1975년 12월 전철역사를 준공하여 사용한 오래된 기존 역사를 신축하고, 수원역 주변을 개발하고자 하는 의도에서 민자역사를 건설하게 되었다. 즉, 현재 및 향후의 교통여건을 고려하고 영화관, 백화점이 있는 문화쇼핑 공간을 함께 계획하게 되었다. (중략)

Counting People Walking Through Doorway using Easy-to-Install IR Infrared Sensors (설치가 간편한 IR 적외선 센서를 활용한 출입문 유동인구 계측 방법)

  • People counting data is crucial for most business owners, since they can derive meaningful information about customers movement within their businesses. For example, owners of the supermarkets can increase or decrease the number of checkouts counters depending on number of occupants. Also, it has many applications in smart buildings, too. Where it can be used as a smart controller to control heating and cooling systems depending on a number of occupants in each room. There are advanced technologies like camera-based people counting system, which can give more accurate counting result. But they are expensive, hard to deploy and privacy invasive. In this paper, we propose a method and a hardware sensor for counting people passing through a passage or an entrance using IR Infrared sensors. Proposed sensor operates at low voltage, so low power consumption ensure long duration on batteries. Moreover, we propose a new method that distinguishes human body and other objects. Proposed method is inexpensive, easy to install and most importantly, it is real-time. The evaluation of our proposed method showed that when counting people passing one by one without overlapping, recall was 96% and when people carrying handbag like objects, the precision was 88%. Our proposed method outperforms IR Infrared based people counting systems in term of counting accuracy.

  • Customer retention is more emphasized for internet business than off-line shopping-malls. The loyals not only purchase a lot but also recommend the mall to new customers quickly using internet media, and there have been many studies on this subject. In this study, customer satisfaction and trust are suggested as preceding variables that have an influence on customer loyalty, and switching gains are suggested as a moderating variable between customer satisfaction & trust and customer loyalty. Many people think it would be easier to change business connection and customer loyalty for internet shopping-malls would be very low. This study, however, concluded that customer satisfaction and trust had a significant influence on customer loyalty even in internet shopping-mall, and that switching gains had moderating effect between satisfaction-attitudinal loyalty and trust-behavioral loyalty. These results are meaningful in that customer satisfaction or trust should be emphasized even on internet business and that switching gains can be strategic focus in building up customer loyalty and retention.

The Effect of Retail Site Characteristics and Out-door Promotion on the Retailer's Performance (소매정의 입지축성과 점두판촉이 소매점성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this research is to find out what factors have an effect on the retailer's performance. Most of the former researches in the similar fields performed their study based on the customers reasons for revisiting or store loyalty. But this research has been done not based on the customer but based on the retailers. It means that the data was collected from individual retailer. Considering the former research and characteristics of the franchisee retailers, size of temporal population around the retailers, visibility of the retailer, competition situation, out-door promotion, street shelf, size of the retailer were selected as factors affecting on the retailers performance. As a performance variable, number of visitors happened to observation period. Data collection was performed through the observation of the retail circumstance and interview with the retailers owner. As meaningful variables affecting on the retailers performance, size of temporal population around the retailers, visibility of the retailer were found in the 5% significance level, and out-door promotion, street shelf, size of the retailer in the 10% significance level, whereas competition situation did not have effect on retailers performance. Finally, we discuss several theoretical and practical implications, and suggest limitations for the research and future research issue.
