Handwriting and Voice Input using Transparent Input Overlay (투명한 입력오버레이를 이용한 필기 및 음성 입력)

  • This paper proposes a unified multi-modal input framework to interface the recognition engines such as IBM ViaVoice and Microsoft handwriting-recognition system with general window applications, particularly, for pen-input displays. As soon as user pushes a hardware button attached to the pin-input display with one hand, the current window of focus such as a internet search window and a word processor is overlaid with a transparent window covering the whole desktop; upon which user inputs handwriting with the other hand, without losing the focus of attention on working context. As well as freeform handwriting on this transparent input overlay as a sketch pad, the user can dictate some words and draw diagrams to communicate with the system.

Influence of Window Display and Clothing Shopping Value on Consumer Attitude (의류(衣類)쇼핑가치(價値)와 쇼 윈도우 디스플레이 유형(類型)에 따른 소비자(消費者) 태도(態度))

  • The main findings are as follows: First, both male and female group, image display was showed higher scores than the product display in the dimensions of 'interest' and 'impression, and the product display presented higher scores than the image display in the dimensions of 'information'. Second, in the dimensions of 'interest', more interest was demonstrated in image display for both male and female consumer group irrelevant to clothing shopping values. The pleasure pursuit consumer group of male and female presented more interest toward the both types of window display. Third, in the dimensions of 'information', the product display had more effect for both sex groups and the pleasure pursuit consumer group was seeking more information than the others groups through the window display. Fourth, in the dimensions of 'impression', the image display formed stronger impression and image for both male and female consumer group and the pleasure pursuit group showed higher score of impression formation than the other two groups.

  • 본 논문은 반도체 장비 및 디스플레이 장비에서 적용되는 네트워크 통신 규약인 SECS 통신 프로토콜을 TCP/IP 소켓 프로그램을 이용하여 구현한다. 특히 호스트와 장비간의 통신에 문제가 발생하여 데이터 전송이 누락되었을 때 이를 장비에 보관한 후에 통신이 복구되었을 때 다시 호스트에게 전송할 수 있는 스풀링 기능을 구현하여 통신장애의 누락되는 데이터를 다시 전송할 수 있도록 한다. 그리고 윈도우 프로그램을 기반으로 하나의 드라이버 프로그램에서 호스트(액티브) 측과 장비(패시브) 측을 선택하여 사용 가능하게 구현한다.

  • 스마트윈도우는 디스플레이, 산업용 외장재 등 다양한 분야에 응용이 가능하며, 특히 전기변색을 이용한 디바이스는 나노코팅 기술을 통한 나노입자 및 나노가공제어 등 나노융합기술을 접목할 수 있다. 전기변색 디바이스는유리 또는 필름 기판소재를 통해 제작이 가능하며, 본 연구에서는 전기변색의 산화, 환원반응에 의해 재료의 광특성이 가역적으로 변화할 수 있는 물질을 증착하여 기존 라미네이터 및 Sol-Gel방식의 전해질보다 열화현상에의한 성능저하를 막아주는 박막전해질 코팅 연구이다. 전기변색 소자는 외부 인가 전압(external voltage)에 의해 유도된 전하의 주입(injection) 과 추출(extraction)을 통하여 그 광학적 특성(optical property)을 가역적으로(reversibly) 변 화시킬 수 있는 특징을 가지고 있다. 전기변색소재의 원리를 간략하게 설명하면 대표적인 환원착색 물질인 전기변색층(WO, MoO, Nb2O5 등)으로 Li+ 또는 H+과 전자가 주입되면 전기변색되고 방출 시는 투명하게 되며, 반대로산화착색 물질인(V2O5, NiO, IrO, MnO 등)으로 Li+ 또는 H+과 전자가 방출되면 변색되고 주입되면 투명하게 되는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 전자가 주입되는 환원착색물질인 WO와 함께 Ta2O5박막을 증착하여 광학적특성을 연구하고 박막의 두께 및 전압인가에따른 변색 및 응답속도를 연구하고자 한다.

Study of E-book Terminal on the Embedded Linux (내장형 리눅스를 이용한 e-book 단말기 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 내장형 리눅스 환경에서 XML기반 EBKS용 전자책 리더 개발에 대한 내용이다. 개발된 단말기는 내장형 리눅스 타겟보드에서 한국형 전자책 문서 표준에 기반한 XML 문서를 Qt SAX 파서를 이용하여 파싱하고, 크로스 플랫폼형 윈도우 시스템인 QWS(Qt windows system)를 이용하여 디스플레이한다. 개발된 전자책 리더는 리눅스 환경 뿐만 아니라 다양한 윈도우 플랫폼에서 신속하고 쉽게 개발 가능하며 SAX 파서를 사용하므로 DOM 인터페이스에 비해 메모리를 적게 사용한다.

Space Construction and Props Used in Window Display of Clothing Stores (국내 의류매장 윈도우 디스플레이의 공간구성과 소도구)

  • Use of the right props in the window display of fashion stores is an essential factor of stimulating customers'interest in purchase, white display is known as important means of expressing fashion. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the practice of window display in domestic fashion stores in terms of props and space construction and to find the differences among 5 different brand types including adult women's, women's casual, men's, unisex, and sportswear. For this study, the window display of the 165 fashion brands was investigated according to the kinds of props used. The data were analyzed by using frequency count and percentage. The various kinds of props were used according to the different brand types and this result was found to be statistically significant. It was found that the four different types of mannequins were the most frequently used props in all fashion brands. And the other props used commonly in fashion stores included photographs, plants, furnitures, and outdoor displays. A variety of special kinds of props were used to attract customers depending on the types of brands. As a conclusion, the importance of selecting effective props was increasingly recognized and the prospect of window display was found to be dependent on the use of right props.

Fashion Window Display Design Development applying the Characteristics of Depaysement (데페이즈망의 특성을 활용한 패션윈도우 디스플레이 디자인 개발)

  • This study aims to provide visual data from analysis of the Depaysement approaches with new viewpoints to inspire and develop new fashion window design ideas. The literature and existing researches related to Depaysement were analyzed for theoretical review, and Depaysement expression approaches were identified by expression characteristics. Theme concepts using traditional Korean images, which could be applied to fashion window displays in Korea, were established, and K(Korean)-fashion design was created to develop fashion window display design. Then, the Depaysement fashion window display was executed using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The results of this study are summarized below. 'Change of forms and materials' could visualize the factors inducing curiosity, which can directly stimulate the consumption sentiment lying latent in the mind of observers by assigning new values to fashion goods displayed inside windows. Unconscious experience and remarkable stories, which are not possible to encounter in an everyday setting, can be visualized through the window display in 'heterogeneous combination of objects.' 'The location change of an object' could express the refreshing and shocking scene to give weird anxiety and mental contradiction to observers by fashion window display, which could break fixed idea of human beings. 'The change of object awareness' could express contradiction and denial, which could liberate the unconsciousness lying latent inside observers through fashion window display. 'Change of spatial awareness' could create the design which maximized the fashion images of goods displayed by helping the observers to change the space of their unconsciousness selectively at their will through the fashion window display with hidden, strange, ambiguous and variable image like a riddle.
