  • 로봇사업은 전 세계적으로 급속히 성장하고 있는 분야로 미국, 유럽 등 많은 국가들이 막대한 자본을 투자하고 있으며, 우리나라에서도 차세대 전략 산업으로 선정하여 집중적으로 지원하고 있다. 현재 로봇 시스템 및 서비스의 복잡도가 증가함에 따라 소프트웨어의 개발비용, 인력, 유지보수 등의 문제를 해결하기 위해 OPRoS(Open Platform For Robotic Service)라는 로봇 소프트웨어 플랫폼이 개발 되었다. 하지만 OPRoS 실행엔진은 범용 운영체제 위에서 동작되기 때문에 로봇서비스의 QoS(Quality of Service)를 위한 실시간성을 보장하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 범용운영체제인 윈도우즈 상에서 동작하는 로봇 소프트웨어 플랫폼인 OPRoS의 실행엔진에 RTiK(Real-Time implanted Kernel)을 이용해 실시간성을 보장할 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구 하였다. 또한 RTiK이 이식된 OPRoS 실행엔진의 성능을 측정하였다.

  • 초등 교육 과정에서 컴퓨터 교육은 재량시간으로 컴퓨터의 개념과 원리의 이해보다는 도구로서의 기술 교육에 할애하고 있다 그러나, 초등학생들은 이미 생활에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 정보화 시스템에 익숙하여 컴퓨터를 이용하여 다루는 기술은 교과의 수준을 상당히 갖추고 있다. 또한, 게임서버. 윈도우즈, 운영체제, 동영상/음악 파일 등의 다운로드/업로드 등의 단어에 이미 익숙해 있다. 이러한 용어들의 이해는 컴퓨터의 원리인 운영체제, 네트워크, 알고리즘, 프로그램 등에 대한 개념 교육으로 해결할 수 있다 따라서, 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터의 가장 중요한 원리인 알고리즘 중 정렬 알고리즘을 사례를 이용하여 역할놀이 모형으로 6학년 초등학생을 대상으로 학습을 수행하였다. 학습한 결과 정렬 알고리즘을 쉽게 유도해 냈으며. 질적인 분석으로 컴퓨터의 원리 교육에 대한 학습 효과가 있음을 보이고자 한다.

  • In digital forensics, the creation time, last modified time, and last accessed time of a file or folder are important factors that can indicate events that have affected a computer system. The form of the time information varies with the file system, depending on the user's actions such as copy, transfer, or network transport of files. Specific changes of the time information may be of considerable help in analyzing the user's actions in the computer system. This paper analyzes changes in the time information of files and folders for different operations of the NTFS and attempts to reconstruct the user's actions.

  • With the recent advancement of malware, the actors performing malicious tasks are often not processes. Malicious code injected into the process that is installed by default in the operating system works thread by thread in the same way as DLL / code injection. In this case, diagnosing and blocking the process as malicious can cause serious problems with system operation. This white paper lists the problems of how to use process-based monitoring information to identify and block the malicious state of a process and presents an improved solution.

  • In this paper we introduce a commercial interactive whiteboard (IWB) system named ImSensorTouch by ImSensor Inc. Using this interface system, we can control our computer through the interactive whiteboard screen just by touching it with your finger or a pen. The interface interacts with Windows operating system (OS) and is adaptable to changes of surroundings especially temperature, and illumination condition. The proposed system calculates the difference between a reference image and a current image captured by a camera in the optical receptive field. And the position making the difference is used to generate the position on Windows screen. Then, we send a mouse event on the position to Windows OS. We have implemented the system using a critical section(CS) with two threads for the reference frame update process in which an adaptive thresholding technique is periodically exploited to get reliable result. We expect the system is competitive and promises a bright future in the IWB market.

  • A parallel computing environment based on Windows operating system was constructed and a performance test was mode in comparison with Linux based systems. The Windows 2000 cluster was composed with servers and clients connected by Fast-ethernet, within which two sub-clusters may operates together or separately. Compaq Visual Fortran complier and two MPI libraries, MPICH.NT.1.2.2 and NT-MPICHNT.1.2 were installed as computing tools. Parallel computing performance tests were carried out using two-dimensional preconditioned Navier-Stokes code to examine the dependency on the number of processors, problem size and MPI libraries, those were compared with results from Linux clusters. Results shows that a cluster based on the user-friendly Windows operating system is also useful for the parallel computing and has good performance comparable to the previous Linux clusters.

  • In this paper, we propose a new system for wireless remote control over single-tasking operating systems such as Microsoft's disk operating system(DOS). In order to control a DOS device in a windows operating system, the proposed architecture uses a video transmitter, a virtual network driver, and a wireless keyboard module. Analysis shows that the proposed system, over 15Mbps wireless LAN(802.11n), can transmit at least 10 to 15 video frames, achieves speed up to a maximum of 8Mbps roughly, and is able to satisfy real time processing with respect to key input. Therefore, the proposed system is well suited to a remote control solution based on DOS devices.

  • As the substantial increment in program complexity and appearance of mega program, the programs need to be divided to small tasks with multiple partitions and performed with a priority based scheduling. And also, a program development has to be progressed according to diversify of development environment. For instance, there are some restrictions upon O/S environment such as embedded O/S or windows. Therefore, the adaptive scheduling technique which performs multiple task partitioning process, regardless environment or O/S, is suggested. In this study, In this study, the adaptive scheduling technique algorithm and its applied examples are described.

  • This paper describes the implementation of the toolkit software for the DICOM. the international standards of medical imaging. Well known toolkits do not have the functions related to imaging or ported to Windows OS after developed at UNIX OS or do not have mechanism for the speed and memory management or have complicated structure comes from DICOMI complexity. The toolkit introduced in this paper was designed for the hospital environments. It handles mass images at Windows based PC system. supports multi-threading to enhance the efficiency. supports every functions in Object Oriented Programming style needed at clinical application which makes the rapid development of the DICOM related applications. The results says that the toolkit can display 50 CT, 50 MR, 10 CR and 10 DX images in 12 seconds and occupy small quantity of physical memory at usual PC system.

  • When mobile node moves into the different IP address area, the mobile node can be set the proper environment parameters automatically by DHCP. If we extend the DHCP option field to support the roles of home agent and foreign agent in mobile IP protocol, mobile node can perform the foreign address registration process of mobile IP protocol when DHCP IP environment is achieved automatically, too. DHCP is supplied in the PC with a series of Windows NT. This paper proposes and implements the functional blocks of extended DHCP nodes and this enables the DHCP node have a role of mobile IP agents without another protocol functional blocks.
