  • It develops in the development efforts about the terminal software platform while the telematics service is activated. Domestically, a standard is developed around the Korea Telematics Standardization Forum. And it is taken in reviews for the WIPI which is supporting the telematics. Internationally, it develops standards for the vehicle based platform in the standardization organizations like OSGi and GST. Under this background, this paper tries to propose the terminal software platform standard in which the vehicle information based telematics service can be taken. For this, firstly domestic and international telematics standard conditions are looked into around the terminal software platform. The terminal software platform standard proposed in this paper is illustrated in the architecture, the required function and the interface side.

  • The present study analyzes the social equilibrium of wireless internet platform market before and after the adoption of WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability). When market prevails operator ownership, as opposed to manufacturer ownership, with heterogenous platforms becomes a more likely and desirable solution. After the adoption of WIPI, social equilibrium is achieved only if operators perceive that the cost reduction and the interoperability effects from investing in WIPI fully offset the appropriation effect from investing in heterogenous platforms.

  • 본 논문에서는 위피(WIPI, Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) 플랫폼 상에서 운용되는 2D/3D 컨텐츠 제작을 위한 저작도구를 설계하며, 2D 및 3D API를 사용하는 응용 프로그램 작성을 직접 지원한다. 사용자는 드래그와 드롭(Drag & Drop), 스프라이트 깜빡임(Sprite Blitting), 스프라이트 회전(Sprite Rotation), API 추가/삭제 기능, 코드 배포 등의 기능을 이용하여 Jlet의 기본 골격을 저작도구의 버튼 하나로 손쉽게 작성할 수 있게 된다. API 추가/삭제 기능을 이용하여 기존 작업을 손쉽게 재사용하거나, 작성 결과물을 코드 배포 기능을 이용하여 하나의 jar 파일로 간단히 작성할 수 있게 된다. 스프라이트 및 2D/3D 관련 기능은 게임 등의 컨텐츠의 코드 작성 시 효율성을 크게 증가 시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 기능을 가진 위피용 컨텐츠 저작도구를 설계하며 제안하였다.

  • Mobile Internet has different platforms cause interrupt activation of mobile internet because contents providers have each different development environment. To use of WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) developer by KWISF(Korea Wireless Internet Standard Forum) founded to solve this problem guarantee independence of hardware and interpretation of mobile application. In this paper, Examine WIPI's characteristic and main standard that is standard platform that can reduce expense that happen in current different platform in treatise. And. common use phrase function that consider convenience of chatting service between portable phone that is that is used recently design and embody. Wish to argue about elevation of the character input speed of portable phone and effect that happen thereby through this.

  • Since Korean mobile communication companies each use different mobile platforms, developers must configure and translate their game contents to run under each of the platforms so that they can be serviced correctly. Nevertheless, such translation tasks require lengthy times and costs. This is one of the reasons why a variety of contents could not be provided. In order to mitigate such difficulty, this paper implemented an automatic mobile contents translating system that automatically translates mobile C game contents of the GNEX platform to mobile java contents of the WIPI platform. The GNEX C-to-WIPI Java automatic contents translation system helps minimize the amount of time and cost required in servicing contents to different mobile communication companies by promptly translating a platform-specific-content to run under other platforms. Also, the automatic translation and servicing of existing contents increases the reusability of these contents and also the productivity of new contents thereby offering users with a more variety of games.

  • In the aspect of the faculty, a course coordinator plays an significant role in managing the curriculum and counseling students on academic matters and fostering their progress in the course. However, the course coordinator cannot afford to advise students on which fields of their faculty fit them and which courses they have to take. This paper proposes a mobile course coordinator system to help students learn courses of their major fields deeply. Also the proposed system is implemented by using WIPI technology, so that it is platform-independent and it is able to assist the course coordinator who is counseling students. And the students with personal cellular phones are able to keep tracking their courses, and improve their knowledge about major subjects by taking courses which the system's inference engine will advise.

  • To get a better profit, standalone mobile game market shifts network-based mobile game. Currently, most of the game platform are separated into mobile to mobile, desktop to desktop, and console to console. Multi platform network game has a diverse problems including consistency control, object management technique, and bandwidth inconsistency. n this paper, we will introduce a multi-platform arcade game "Push-Push", which is played on desktop to mobile environment. The game guarantees realtime play between heterogeneous machine users and game item sharing between two platforms. e will focus n the issues of the 3rd generation multi platform games and propose some techniques or solving these problems. Our server database is implemented on MS SQL database, also the desktop programming tool is Visual Basic, and WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform or Interoperability) as a mobile platform.

  • The development of IT related technology has made it possible to offer 'Any Time, Any Where, Any Service' to the users and internet-based service became accessible while on the move through wireless internet service. Moreover, the development of various wireless contents has been provided diverse ioy and convenience to life. However, the existing wireless contents had been subordinate to the wireless internet platform because it had not been set up for a standardized environment. Therefore, repeated developments of contents have been causing waste of resource, time and manpower. This paper aims at suggesting WIPI-bases artificial reefs search contents which have become independent from platform by using JAVA. Artificial reefs facilities are a government project for increasing the revenue of fishermen but only few fishermen know the information about the location of artificial reefs and most of them are not aware of the location of these facilities. There(ore this thesis plans to develop WIPI-bases artificial reefs search contents to provide information such as the location, the depth, and the bottom material to anglers and those fishermen who do not know the location of artificial reefs so that the fishermen can have the opportunity to increase their revenue and also the opportunity to catch a big fish for anglers.

  • Today's growth of the mobile communication infrastructure made mobile computing systems like cellular phones came next to or surpassed the desktop PCs in popularity due to their mobility. Although the performance of mobile devices is now being improved continuously, it is a current common sense that compute intensive large-scale applications can hardly run on any kind of mobile handset devices. To clear up this problem, we decided to exploit the mobile cluster computing system and surveyed the existing ones first. We found out, however, that most of them are not the actual implementations but a mobile cluster infrastructure proposal or idea suggestions for reliable mobile clustering. To make cell phones participated in cluster computing nodes, in this paper, we propose a redesigned JPVM cluster computing engine and a set of WIPI mobile runtime functions interfacing with it. And we also show the performance evaluation results of real parallel applications running on our Mobile-JPVM cluster computing systems. We find out by the performance evaluation that large-scale applications can sufficiently run on mobile devices such as cellular phones when using our mobile cluster computing engine.

An Home-Delivery Service Management System Using OMA DM Agents (OMA DM 에이전트를 이용한 택배 서비스 관리 시스템)

  • Since different methods or protocols have been used to manage various mobile terminals, it has been difficult to manage mobile terminals efficiently. OMA(Open Mobile Alliance), therefore, proposed OMA DM(Device Management) as a standard for device management. In this paper, in an effort to apply the OMA DM concept ta real application area a home-delivery service management system using OMA DM agents is designed and implemented. The home-delivery service management system is developed using SyncML Tool Kit 4.3, SK WIPI SDK and Embedded Visual-C++ under the environment of SK-WIPI Clet. Since the home-delivery service management system is developed using OMA DD which is expected to be installed in most of the mobile terminals, separate lower level program modules for the management system would not be necessary. In order to justify this world some experiments are performed using SK WIPI emulator 1.1., which provides the same execution environments as a real mobile terminals does. Experiments show that the home-delivery service management system developed in this paper, works properly.
