Understanding Web Designer′s Knowledge Structure for WWW (웹 페이지 설계자의 WWW에 대한 지식구조)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify web designer's knowledge organization for WWW. Linked web sites were investigated in public library web pages. Independent variable was the supervised offices of public libraries and dependent variables were the web sites of type of public libraries, supervised offices of public libraries, and employment information. Results showed that special library and supervised office web sites were linked differently by public library web pages differently based upon supervised offices. This difference was resulted from geographical factors and types of information on the web sites.

A Study on Comparison Analysis of the Design Factors between Korea and China Shopping mall Websites (한·중 쇼핑몰 웹 사이트의 디자인 요인에 대한 비교분석)

  • This paper mainly focuses on the design factors of a website targeted at shopping mall websites in China and Korea. We formulated 15 different hypotheses regarding how those design factors are different. The targeted websites are "Gmarket" in Korea and "Taobao" in China. The selected design factors of a shopping mall website are (1) color and design, (2) photo, graphic, and font size, (3) the clarity of information delivery, (4) website structure, (5) screen balance, (6) product display, (7) product harmony, (8) a form of font and icon, (9) visual atmosphere, (10) differentiated color, (11) interesting words, (12) technical skills, (13) entire visual design and atmosphere, (14) navigation, (15) search function for products or information. As a result of analyzing the result using the SAS 9.2 package tool, we figured out that there was a difference between design factors. Additionally, we analyzed this difference and suggested a strategy to design the effective shopping mall web sites.

  • Users of World Wide Web (Web) experience difficulties in the retrieval of pertinent information due to the increased information provided by Web sites and the complex structure of Web documents that are continuously created, deleted, restructured, and updated. Web providers' efforts to maintain their sites are tend to be less than that of site creation due to the expenses required for maintenance. If information of relationship among Web documents and their validity is provided to Web managers as well as Web developers, they can better serve users. In order to grasp the whole structure of a Web site and to verify the validity of hyperlinks, traversal and analysis of hyperlinks in a Web document are required to provide information for effective and efficient creation and maintenance of the Web. In this paper, we introduce a Web Editor specialized for Web maintenance. We emphasized on two aspects: first, the analysis of HTML Tags to extract hyperlink information and second, establishment of the relationship among hyperlinked documents, and verification of the validity of them.

  • In the Web environment with a huge amount of information, Web page access patterns for the users visiting certain web site can be diverse and change continually in accordance with the change of its environment. Therefore it is almost impossible to develop and design web sites which fit perfectly for every web user's desire. Adaptive web site was proposed as solution to this problem. In this paper, we will present an effective method that uses a probabilistic model of DTMC(Discrete-Time Markov Chain) for learning user's access patterns and applying these patterns to construct an adaptive web site.

Responsive Web of Prototype based on Implementation Structure (인터페이스 구조에 따른 프로토타입의 반응형 웹)

  • The purpose of this study is to describe the technologies necessary to design responsive web with the use of the responsive website based on implementation structure as a prototype. Responsive design means the process of analyzing prototype requirements on the basis of implementation and applying the analysis results to development. The design method based on the principle of priority in development was established, and then flexibility and variability through design formula were set up. After that, the user-oriented primary principle and secondary principle were drawn to establish implementation structure. In the way of discussing compression technologies, a method of combination was searched for, and then a method of asynchronous script scalability in line with a web prototype was found. Today, a website or a web application needs to be adopted and accessed regardless of device types. As a solution, a responsive website design method was found. Important technologies for the implementation structure for the responsive website design method and its relevant prototype website were came up with.

A Study on the Structure and Content Analysis of Art Museum Websites in Korea (미술관 웹 사이트의 구조 및 콘텐츠 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze art museum websites and derive implications for future operation of art museum websites. To this end, this research collected basic information about art museums according to '2018 National General Report of Cultural Infrastructure' and investigate the websites of 30 art museums through multi-step sampling process. This study analyzed the structure and menu of the art museum websites as well as the current state of various contents provided by the websites and the search service for the collections offered by the websites. Following sentences are the results. First of all, the art museum websites offer 5.6 top menus on average. Secondly, contents related to art museum, exhibitions, news, education, general forum, and SNS are the basic contents that should be provided on the art museum websites. Third, for contents related to news, education, and events have problems with hierarchical structure and need to be adjusted. Fourth, in the content type, specialized information contents are relatively insufficient and thus need to be improved. Fifth, the art museum websites should give sufficient information about the collection and offer directory searching hat includes keyword searching as well as detail searching service. It is also required to reorganize the directory along with the download function for searched results and the sorting service.

An Experimental Study on Topic Distillation Using Web Site Structure (웹 사이트 구조를 이용한 토픽 검색 연구)

  • This study proposes a topic distillation algorithm that ranks the relevant sites selected from retrieved web pages, and evaluates the performance of the algorithm. The algorithm calculates the topic score of a site using its hierarchical structure. The TREC .GOV test collection and a set of TREC-2004 queries for topic distillation task are used for the experiment. The experimental results showed the algorithm returned at least 2 relevant sites in top ten retrieval results. We peformed an in-depth analysis of the relevant sites list provided by TREC-2004 to find out that the definition of topic distillation was not strictly applied in selecting relevant sites. When we re-evaluated the retrieved sites/sub-sites using the revised list of relevant sites, the performance of the proposed algorithm was improved significantly.

  • 정보 통신 기술의 발달로 엄청난 양의 정보가 World Wide Web을 통해 저장되고 공유된다. 웹 정보의 양이 커질수록 이의 구조화 노력은 점증될 수밖에 없다. 본 논문의 목적은 웹을 유향그래프로 인식하고, 특히 웹 사이트에 초점을 맞추어 웹의 시작페이지(default page)와 이를 제외한 모든 페이지에 대해 최적구조화를 수행하되, 각 개별 웹 페이지를 하나의 종점(terminal page)으로 정의하고, 시작 페이지로부터 각 페이지로의 최적의 경로를 찾아내면서 전체 site의 비용을 최소화할 수 있는 구조를 탐색하는 것이다. 또한 라그랑지안 릴렉세이션을 적용하여 경로 제약조건의 변화에 대해 효율적인 최적해의 변화를 검증하며, 웹의 구조적분석에 적합한지 여부를 적용하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 웹에 대해 최적화 모델링을 입안 및 분석하였으며, 실험으로서 입안된 모델을 최적화 툴에 적용하여 최적구조화에 부합되는 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • 현재의 웹은 사용자가 원하는 정보를 정확하고 빠르게 검색 결과를 보여주지 못하는 단점이 있다. 그러므로 사용자에게 정확한 정보 전달을 해 주고자 시맨틱 웹이 등장하게 되었다. 시맨틱 웹은 기계가 이해할 수 있는 온톨로지를 구성하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 정확하게 전달해 줄 수 있다는 점에서 미래의 웹으로 각광을 받게 될 것이다. 시맨틱 웹의 기반이 되고 있는 온톨로지는 어떤 특정 도메인에서 사용되는 정보들과 그 정보들 간의 관계를 정의해 놓은 것으로 관련 도메인 전문가들과 협의에 의하여 개념들과 관계들의 구조를 정하고 이를 기반으로 구축된다. 실제의 응용 시스템에서는 도메인마다의 구체적인 지식을 포함하는 온톨로지 설계가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 택배회사가 홈쇼핑사이트 업체를 대상으로 효율적인 마케팅을 하기 위친 홈쇼핑사이트에 대한 기본정보를 추출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 온톨로지를 구축하는 온톨로지 언어에는 RDF, RDF(S), DAML+OIL, OWL. Topic Map등이 있다. 이 논문에서는 토픽맵을 사용하여 홈쇼핑 사이트 정보를 검색하기 위한 홈쇼핑 사이트에 대한 온톨로지를 설계하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 업데이트 된 신규 사이트들의 RIA 패러다임에 대해 고찰해 보고 향 후 이러한 패러다임이 계속 될 것을 예측해 보았다. RIA로 인해 HTML 방식의 웹 사이트 디자인 구조의 한계를 극복하고 다양한 아이덴티티를 가진 웹 사이트들이 등장했지만 그로 인해 사용자들의 신규 학습에 의한 인지 과부하와 과도한 네비게이션의 변화로 인한 방향 상실감을 예측할 수 있었으며 향 후 이러한 문제들을 개선하기 위해서는 규칙적인 네비게이션 시스템과 명확한 레이블링이 필요하다는 것을 제언하였다.
