A Study on the Readers and Publication Strategies of the 1980's Paperback Romance -Focusing on the Concept of 'High-teen' (1980년대 문고본 로맨스의 독자 상정과 출판 전략 연구 -'하이틴' 기호를 중심으로)

  • This paper looks at the readers and publishing strategies of paperback romance novels in the the 1980s based on the 'high-teen' concept. The purpose of this article is to examine the meaning the 'high-teen' concepts as expressed in the media through the publication of paperback romance series in the 1980s. Among paperback romance series, this paper was based on pirated/licensed version of novels published by Harlequin, a Canadian publisher, and the magazine media's advertising promotional phrases that were published targeting the same readers. Since the 1970s, mass media have referred to teenagers as high-teens and called them important consumers. High-teen was a term referring to teenagers in school uniforms, mostly girls, and in the 1980s, 'high-teen' was also introduced as a new consumer market, and the publishing market put forward a number of publishing strategies to attract them. The paperback romance, including , has identified 'high-teen' readers as late-teen girls, sensitive consumers for best-sellers/million-sellers, readers with a tendency to read stories of love, and readers that favor American and Western culture. Since the 1980s, the market for paperback romance has been in the recession, but readers have kept the romance genre alive by accepting and localizing the Harlequin series. With the rise of a new form of media called the 'Web Novel', interest in the romance genre is increasing, and we hope this study will serve as a starting point for a variety of discussions with (women) readers about romance reading/enjoyment.

A Study of Features by Avatar type according to Internet communication services (인터넷 매체 서비스 이용자의 아바타 사용에 따른 유형별 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 가상공간에서 사용자들은 온라인 커뮤니티(Online Community)로 관계(Relationship)를 맺고, 같은 관심사를 가지고 공감대를 형성하는 일이 하나의 디지털문화로 형성되었다. 이러한 가상공간에서 자신을 대변할 수 있는 또 다른 나, 즉 아바타(Avatar)에 대한 선호가 증가하고 있으며, 사용목적에 따른 사용자 감성의 반영으로 아바타 디자인이 다양한 형태로 발전하고 있다. 아바타의 근원은 분신(分身) 화신(化身)을 뜻하는 산스크리스트어 '아바따라(avataara)'에서 유래되었으며, 인터넷시대가 열리면서 3차원이나 가상현실게임 또는 웹에서의 채팅 등을 즐길 때 사용자를 대신하는 그래픽 아이콘으로 표상되면서 인터넷 상에서 자신을 대표하는 분신으로 정의되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 인터넷 매체 서비스 이용자의 아바타 사용에 따른 유형별 특성에 관한 것으로서, 이 연구를 통해 아바타 디자인의 시각적 표현요소에 효과적으로 활용될 수 요인을 찾고자 하였다. 분석을 위해 인터넷 공동체 집단을 미니홈피/블로그, 채팅, 게임으로 구분하였으며, 아바타 이용자들이 이와 같은 커뮤니티를 이용할 때 어떤 목적에 따라 사용하고 있으며, 그들이 아바타를 선택할 때 어떤 유형별 특성이 나타나는가를 실증하고자 하였다. 이것은 아바타 이용자들이 자신이 표현하려는 아바타 이미지와의 관계를 파악함으로써 가상세계에서 표출하는 아바타 사용 목적에 맞는 유형을 설명할 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 아바타 이용자의 특성을 파악하여 그들의 감성을 반영하는 디자인 전략을 세울 수 있다. 연구방법은 아바타의 개념과 유형분류, 그리고 미니홈피/블로그, 게임, 채팅의 이론적 논의 및 근거제시를 위한 문헌연구를 하였으며, 아바타 이용목적에 따른 유형별 특성을 심도 있게 파악하기 위해 질적연구(Qualitative)로서 표적집단면접(Focus Group Interview)을 실시하였으며, 그에 따른 내용분석과 표현분석을 하였다. 그리고 이것을 보다 객관적으로 검증(verification)하기 위해 양적연구(Quantitative)를 병행하였다. 조사대상은 아바타를 이용해 본 경험이 있는 384명의 학생들이며, 성별 연령별에 따른 분류를 통해 각 조사대상자별 특징을 발견하고자 하였다. 조사를 통해 미니홈피/블로그, 채팅, 게임의 서비스 공간에서 보여 지는 각각의 특성에 맞게 아바타 이용자들은 자신이 표현하려는 아바타의 유형에서 선호의 차이를 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 아바타사용자의 인터넷 매체 이용목적에 따른 유형별 특성을 파악할 수 있었으며, 향후 사이트(site)의 특성에 따라 사용자의 감성선호를 고려한 아바타 디자인 전략과 그 모델(Design model)을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

Research on Automatic Translation of Standard Language through Contemplation of Korean Destruction Phenomena in Internet Media Language (인터넷 매체 언어의 국어 파괴 현상의 고찰을 통한 표준어 자동 번역 기술에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we consider the discussion of the breakdown phenomenon of korean language that is displayed in the language of the Internet media, as a technical improvement approach to this, and to provide an automatic translation technology of standard language. The collected through real life surveys and experience and damage case regarding language breakdown phenomena in the FGI (Focussed Group Interview), and presents the results of the analysis, based on the analysis result data, we defined the index of language destroyed (degree of Korean destruction). The limit of the national language break or automatic translation technology standard language marked with translation errors that have to be minimized, the efficiency of the automatic translation technology standard language which may be utilized as a measure to get the maximum, and presented through the Internet media texts 2,480 pieces of analysis. Automatic translation technology of the standard language and was also measured the proposed language destroyed in this paper, we implemented in the form of a REST API using the Java language, was confirmed to work on the Web browser.

A Dynamic Sweep Scheme Enabling Scheduling Period Expansions for Continuous Media Playback (연속매체 재연에 적합한 스케줄링 주기 확장을 허용하는 동적 Sweep 기법)

  • With fast advances in computing power and network technologies, online streaming services of continuous media (CM) have been popularly implemented on the Web. To implement such services, a variety of CM streams need to be processed efficiently, so that the Sweep scheme was proposed. This scheme has several advantages such as hiccup-free playbacks and seek-time optimization. In this scheme, however, the entire CM streams are scheduled with a single scheduling period, called a cycle. Since only one scheduling period is allowed in this scheme, a significant amount of disk time is usually wasted because of its inflexible disk schedules. To solve this, we propose a new dynamic Sweep scheme. For this, we devise an algorithm that is able to expand scheduling periods of serviced CM streams and propose a new admission control mechanism guaranteeing hiccup-free playbacks. To show performance gains, we execute various simulation experiments. From the experimental results, we can see that the proposed scheme outperforms the Sweep scheme in terms of disk utilization and scheduling flexibility.

전자금융 침해사고 예방 및 대응 강화 방안

  • 편리한 금융거래 수단으로써 인터넷뱅킹을 포함한 전자금융 서비스가 생활화 되었으며 그 중요성 또한 갈수록 증가하고 있다. 이에 대한 부작용으로서 사용자의 실수나 금융기관, 쇼핑몰, 포털 등의 해킹을 통한 전자금융 접근매체의 유출, 비정상적인 지불결제나 인터넷뱅킹 이체 사고 등 침해사고 또한 함께 증가하고 있다. 금융권은 금융감독원을 중심으로 전자금융 종합보안 대책 수립(2005년) 및 전자금융거래법 시행(2007년) 등을 통해 고객 PC의 해킹방지를 위한 다양한 보안프로그램 제공 의무화, 보안등급에 따른 이체한도 차등화, 금융권 통합 OTP 인증체계 구축 등 전자금융 침해사고 예방을 위한 적극적인 노력을 기울여오고 있으나, 최근 들어 피싱/파밍 등 신종 사이버사기 기법이나 해외의 전문 해커에 의해 개발된 고도의 지능화된 해킹툴이 사용되어 보안프로그램을 무력화시킨 후 고객정보를 유출해가거나 일반 포털사이트, 웹하드, 웹메일 등의 해킹을 통해 인터넷 사이트에 등록된 고객의 인터넷뱅킹 접근 매체를 유출하여 인터넷뱅킹 침해 사고를 일으키는 등의 신종 침해사고를 완벽히 차단하지는 못하고 있어, 더욱 강력한 전자금융 침해사고 예방 통제 방안의 수립과 함께 침해사고 발생 시 원인 파악 및 범인 검거를 위한 역추적 시스템의 구축 등 기존 보안체계를 대폭 강화할 필요성이 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시중 은행의 인터넷뱅킹 침해사고 발생 현황 조사를 중심으로 최근 발생한 전자금융 침해사고의 추이분석, 침해사고 주요 원인과 기존 대응 체계의 현황, 한계점 등을 파악하였다. 그리고 전자금융 침해사고의 효과적인 예방 및 대응 강화 방안으로서 사용자 관점에서 공인인증서를 중심으로 한 전자금융 접근매체의 관리 강화 방안을 제안하였으며, 전자금융 서비스를 제공하는 금융 기관 관점에서 효과적인 전자금융거래 로깅 및 역추적 시스템의 구축 및 전체 금융기관과 감독기관 간의 유기적인 공조를 기반으로 한 침해사고 공동 대응체계의 구축 및 운영을 위한 시스템의 구성 방법, 운영 프로세스, 관련 법률의 검토 및 대응 방법 등을 제안하였다.

Web Search Behavior Analysis Based on the Self-bundling Query Method (웹검색 행태 연구 - 사용자가 스스로 쿼리를 뭉치는 방법으로 -)

  • Web search behavior has evolved. People now search using many diverse information devices in various situations. To monitor these scattered and shifting search patterns, an improved way of learning and analysis are needed. Traditional web search studies relied on the server transaction logs and single query instance analysis. Since people use multiple smart devices and their searching occurs intermittently through a day, a bundled query research could look at the whole context as well as penetrating search needs. To observe and analyze bundled queries, we developed a proprietary research software set including a log catcher, query bundling tool, and bundle monitoring tool. In this system, users' daily search logs are sent to our analytic server, every night the users need to log on our bundling tool to package his/her queries, a built in web survey collects additional data, and our researcher performs deep interviews on a weekly basis. Out of 90 participants in the study, it was found that a normal user generates on average 4.75 query bundles a day, and each bundle contains 2.75 queries. Query bundles were categorized by; Query refinement vs. Topic refinement and 9 different sub-categories.

  • As the technology realizing digital multimedia has been developing remarkably based on Internet environment, today we can gain various information we need quickly and easily without regard to time or place by using world wide web. The recent spread of digital animation as a way of communication on Internet has been forming a new communication paradigm according to the development of age. Besides, digital animations embodied on web are a kind of communication medium which is expressed through interactions using different digital multimedia tools and put the concepts of time and space together. This is a form which can cope with various forms of information, and it occupies a high rate on web and is used often. Web animations offer various forms of communication, such as interface structure design for information transfer, characters, typography, and other graphic elements, which make users feel maximized real dynamics. This paper analyzes and evaluates the categories according to the characteristics, information and usage types of digital animations used on web, examines more efficient communication expressions based on them, and pays attention to the Internet environment that will develop and change in the future. With regard to it, this research aims at suggesting a useful theory so that diverse digital animations on web based on Internet environment would develop into a new communication paradigm responding to the change of time.

  • With the rapid and broad changes of information media and information environment the traditional libraries have been evolving into the digital libraries. An analysis for the Planning and realization of the electronic resource management system was carried out to establish the various electronic resources in the digital library, the first in Korea. The study targeted from electronic journals, web-based databases, e-books, and to open access resources. The focus of the analysis lies in the Providing practical integrated electronic resource management for digital librarian based on the framework of effective Electronic Resource Management Initiative(ERMI) of Digital Library Federation(DLF) with network and electronic resource description. The analyses included life-cycle, subscription models, coverages. types of information provider for electronic resources. and system organization for implementation of electronic resource management system.

  • Internet becomes absolutely necessary tools due to rapid progress of information technology. Educational correspondence about an age of information demand is focused on a learner and remote education based on information technology WBI(Web Based Instruction) is a formation that remotly educate a learner using web, possible mutual reaction between instructor and learner, submit various studying material, has a good point to overcome spatial restriction. Internal and external standardization working is accelerated and recently XML security studies are activated using XML which is next generation web standard document format.   • The educational system has been changed owing to Web, which is most actively used on internet and has the characteristics of providing suitable environments for implementing constructivism study theory. WBI(Web Based Instruction), web-mediated teaching form for students at a long distance, has the advantages of possible interact between instructors and learners, offering a great variety of learning materials, and overcome the spatiotemporal restriction. This paper focuces on the construction of learning surroundings where the learner-centered, active learning can be done by design and Implementation of web based instruct system providing a sham examination with an item pool system. The web based Self-directed Learning system for word processor qualifying exams on this paper, can be mentioned as a real item pool that the question is not setting each time by the instructors but can be reused by reference on item pool bank, designed the number of question. It helps the learner Self-directed Learning study with evaluation during the web based instruct process and immediate feedback. It also provides the chance to research some similar using keyword. To sum up, this system can amplify the efficiency of study.
