To overcome article-oriented search functions and provide author-oriented ones, a namesake problem for author names should be solved. Author disambiguation, proposed as its solution, assigns identifiers of real individuals to author name entities. Although recent state-of-the-art approaches to author disambiguation have reported above 90% performance, there are few academic information services which adopt author-resolving functions. This paper describes a large-scale test set for author disambiguation which was created by KISTI to foster author resolution researches. The result of these researches can be applied to academic information systems and make better service. The test set was constructed from DBLP data through web searches and manual inspection, Currently it consists of 881 author names, 41,673 author name entities, and 6,921 person identifiers.

The requirements of knowledge customization have increased as information resources have become more various and the numbers of the resources are increased. Even if the method for collecting the information has improved like Really Simple Syndication (RSS), information users are still struggling for extracting and customizing the required information through the Web. To reduce the burden, we offer the dynamic knowledge customization framework by using ontology-based CBR. The framework consisting of three phases is comprised of the conversion phase of web information as a machine-accessible case, the extraction phase to find a case appropriate for information users' requirements, and the case customization phase to create knowledge depending on information user's requirements. Newly, the dynamic and intensity-based similarity is adopted to support timely dynamic change of users' requirements. The framework has adopted to create traveler's knowledge to the level users wanted.

Evaluation of shape similarity for 3D models is essential in many areas - medicine, mechanical engineering, molecular biology, etc. Moreover, as 3D models are commonly used on the Web, many researches have been made on the classification and retrieval of 3D models. In this paper, we describe methods for 3D shape representation and major concepts of similarity evaluation, and analyze the key features of recent researches for shape comparison after classifying them into four categories including multi-resolution, topology, 2D image, and statistics based methods. In addition, we evaluated the performance of the reviewed methods by the selected criteria such as uniqueness, robustness, invariance, multi-resolution, efficiency, and comparison scope. Multi-resolution based methods have resulted in decreased computation time for comparison and increased preprocessing time. The methods using geometric and topological information were able to compare more various types of models and were robust to partial shape comparison. 2D image based methods incurred overheads in time and space complexity. Statistics based methods allowed for shape comparison without pose-normalization and showed robustness against affine transformations and noise.

전라남도 국민참여형 위성영상 블로그 시스템은 2006년도 행정자치부 자치단체정보화지원사업의 일환으로 구축된 것으로서， 사용자가 고해상도 위성영상 위에 직접 자신의 글，사진， 동영상을 올리고，이를 다른 사용자나 시스템과 공유할 수 있도록 구축된 시스템이다. 본 시스템이 궁극적으로 구현하고자 했던 과제는 다음과 같다. (1)지리정보 혹은 기타 정보의 고정성을 탈피하고，(2)지리정보와 멀티미디어 자료의 효율적 통합을 통해 geoUCC를 구축하며，(3)사용자의 참여를 통한 지리정보 제공 방식의 쌍방향성을 구현하여，(4) 사용자를 일방적 자료 활용자에서 자료 생성자로 발전시키고 궁극적으로는 자치단체와 국민 간 새로운 방식의 소통 방식을 생성하는 것이다. 본 시스템 구축의 결과로서 본 시스템에서 일반 국민에게 서비스되는 내용은 다음과 같다. (1) 전라남도 전역의 1m급 고해상도 위성영상의 대국민 서비스，(2)전라남도 전역에 대한 지번 단위까지의 주소 검색 서비스，(3)웹 상에서의 실시간 3차원 GIS 서비스，(4)Web2.0의 철학을 반영한 RSS, Trackback 및 Tag 검색 기능，(5)사용자가 직접 고해상도 위성영상 위에 자신의 글， 사진，동영상，홈페이지 등을 올릴 수 있는 "위성영상 블로그 쓰기 기능"，(6)국내 거의 모든 포털 사이트의 블로그와 홈페이지를 지원하는 시스템 연계(퍼가기) 기능 등이다. 결론적으로 본 시스템의 사용자는 고해상도 위성영상 기반의 지도 위에 자신의 여행기，사진， 동영상을 올림으로써 자신만의 사용자제작콘텐츠(UCC)를 생성할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라， 이를 다른 사용자와 공유， 활용함으로써 실질적인 쌍방향，참여형 지리정보시스템을 이용하게 된 것이다.

In the recent IT field, the biggest concerns may be Mobile environment. This means that it becomes part of our life: the Mobile is applied to the areas of teaching, studying, commercial transaction, entertainment etc. In this paper, we implemented Mobile E-BOOK bookstore using WEB, DB, and a Mobile technology. This system takes duplex from to be available in Mobile WEB environment by PDA and actuality WEB site under desk top environment. This paper have presented big possibility in terms of embodied electronic commerce based on the Mobile-based E-BOOKstore system that has not attempted yet commercially.

Currently, oriental medicine research is focused with modern research technology and validate it's various biochemical effect by combining with molecular biology technology. But there are few searching system for finding biochemical mechanism which is related to major compounds in oriental medicine. In this research, we aimed developing korean herb database based on text-mining system by analyzing PubMed data. We have developed prototype system for searching chemical, gene and biological relation in oriental medicine. It is characterized by modern oriental medicine research trend with major chemical, gene and protein information. Analysis results can be searched on the prototype system with visualization of the biological interactions.

Nowadays, according to the change of educational environment, an alternative educational system, called cyber university system, is appeared. The appearance of the new system requires the new executive supports for administrative purposes. From this point of view, this paper tries to design and develop an XML-based document management system for the cyber university system. In order to manage and present the multimedia documents for Cyber university effectively, the proposed document management system is divided into 3 hierarchy structures: Generation of Documents, Storage of Documentation, and Search of Documentation. Based on our proposal for the system, the actual implementation is done for the demonstrative purpose. Both the construction of document manage system for the cyber university and modules for portal page are implemented using XML.

The current software development type is based on CBD (Component Based Development). However, it requires a new component model that can support rapid and accurate component information on the web due to the cost increase of building new components using CBD. The purposed of this paper is to promptly develop an application on the web which fulfills users' demand and to provide specific interface regarding the small scales of distributed component in business domains. The e-BCOS(e-Business Component System) is the agent system for the users to register distributed components and to search component information, which would increase reusability through the e-business component development of distributed components in business domains and help the users understand the information about the component. Moreover, XML is employed for specification which allows smooth specification sharing and delivery to satisfy users' variable demands.

In recent, many consumers visit the online shopping malls or price comparison sites to collect the information on the product category that they are interested in. However, the volumes of the data provided by such web sites are often too enormous, and significant number of consumers have trouble in making purchase decision based on the plethora of products and sellers. In this context, modern online shopping agents need to process the retrieved information in more intelligent way before providing them to the users. This paper proposes a novel approach for identifying the main price ranges hidden in a single product category. To this end, the price of an item in the category is represented as a row vector and k-means clustering analysis is applied to the price vectors to produce the clusters that consists of the product items with similar price vectors. Then, the main price ranges of the product category can be identified from the result of clustering analysis. In general, the price is one of the most important factors in the consumers' purchase decision, and the identified main price ranges will be helpful for the online shoppers to find appropriate items effectively.

The Aircraft Development Department operated a Technical Document Management System that was effectively managed using a database management system for the management of the technical information created by a research and development phase of an aircraft and managed a technical information of a research and development varied by the project on a lot of the aircraft development program. While managing the user management and technical information project, it caused some problems on the workflow of the Work Memo and a search of some technical information, etc. As result, we developed the web-based Integrated Technical Information System(ITIS) which be able to totally manage the Technical Document Management System varied by program. According to the construction and operation of this system, we can access by program using user account and privilege and dramatically increased the productivity of a research and development because of performing the workflow of the Work Memo and some search of technical information by the integrated screen of the ITIS.
