  • NIE(Newspaper-In-Education)는 신문을 활용한 교육을 말한다. NIE가 기존의 교육에 비하여 다양한 가치 인식을 통한 사회성 확립과 아울러 독해력과 작문력 향상, 정보 활용 능력의 육성 등의 장점이 있어서 교육 현장에서 널리 활용되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 NIE는 기사 스크랩의 번거로움, 복사 사용으로 인한 판독의 어려움, 전문용어에 대한 지도의 어려움 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 NIE를 위한 교수-학습 시스템을 설계한다. 웹 기반 NIE는 신문활용교육의 장을 교실과 가정에서 그대로 컴퓨터와 인터넷으로 옮겨온 것이다. 인터넷 신문을 통해 다양한 신문의 기사와 정보를 접하고, 분석하며 기존의 워크북(workbook)에서 하던 NIE 활동을 그대로 웹 기반으로 옳긴 것이다. 본 논문에서 설계한 웹 기반 NIE 교수-학습시스템은 신문지면을 준비하는 문제에 구애받지 않고, 전문용어에 대한 실시간 검색을 통한 빠른 이해와 다른 사람의 NIE 작품을 비교할 수 있는 둥의 장점을 가지고 있기 때문에 우리나라 NIE교육의 발전에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 학습자들은 소양교육으로 정보통신기술에 대한 기초적인 지식과 활용 능력을 습득하고 이를 토대로 각 교과에서 정보통신기술을 활용할 수 있어야 한다. 이 두 가지의 교육이 서로 연계하여 이루어질 때 정보통신기술 활용 능력은 가장 효과적으로 신장된다. 이러한 소양교육과 활용교육 연계선상에서 이루어지는 교육이 바로 웹 신문학습이다. 그러나 웹 신문학습이 정보통신기술 소양 능력 향상에 영향을 미치는지의 검증 연구가 진행되지 않아 교육효과에 대한 불확실성을 갖고 있었다. 이에 컴퓨터 교육의 목표를 효율적으로 달성할 수 있는 교수 학습 방법인 웹 신문학습을 수행한 후 정보통신기술 소양 능력을 측정하여 객관적인 수치로 교육적 효과를 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents ENIG Agent can gather distributed educational newspaper information in the web as well as provide teachers and student those information for the NIE. ENIG Agent gleans newspaper headline of appropriate educational news portal site for real-time provision of those information. The optimized extraction of headline is performed through the pre-process of educational news site, information noise filtering, pattern matching. The educational newspaper headline information that is gotten through previous process will be shown to students by web-browser. To increase the usage of those information, intelligent education methods and visualized classification techniques are used. By experiment, the performance of this ENIG Agent was evaluated.

  • In the information oriented society, a good lesson helps learners to develop self-learning ability. To give a good lesson, teachers should teach with details in learning contents that learners can understand easily, not with abstract and generalized concepts in the textbook. And they also should find the effective instructional media to give students the learning contents. Since the newspaper carries the most current and up-to-date source of information about various fields, if it is used as the teaching material in the classroom, it can help students to learn useful and practical knowledge. Therefore, newspapers are so-called 'living textbook'. NIE which enables students to enhance their ability to utilize the information and to learn wisdom about life, is already actively applied to the educational activities. And e-learning system and the electronic newspaper that make learning happen to anyone anytime anywhere, appears with the advancements in information technology and changing educational paradigm. This changed circumstance make the field and the way of NIE enlarge to e-NIE. e-NIE is the educational media that helps the learners to learn the way of learning. But the study about e-NIE through designing a teaching plan systematically has not been made completely. Therefore, this research aims to find out the characteristics of e-NIE and the effective way of designing a teaching plan that fits the characteristics of e-NIE.

A Study on the Development of a New OSMU Education Model Applying Local Content as a Source (지역 콘텐츠를 이용한 OSMU 교육모델 개발에 관한 연구)

  • OSMU is now one of the most important keywords in the media industry. However, how to educate future media workers who can design and implement OSMU is an unsolved problem to media educators. In order to overcome the limitations of two perspectives of OSMU, namely economic perspective and storytelling perspective, this study propose a new OSMU education model for college students. Beginning with creating local content using MediaWiki, this model consists of five phases of media windowing, including MediaWiki, smartphone application, Web design, multimedia e-magazine for tablet PC, and publication. A Chuncheon-based university has been experimenting with this new OSMU education program. MediaWiki has played important role for creating local content collaboratively. All That Chuncheon application is now on service via SKT Tstore and Chuncheon Web pages has been designed successfully. Multimedia e-magazine and book publication is under preparation. The experiment has been successful so far, mainly due to the strategic choice of local content as the source of following media window. Also students have been strongly motivated for participating in this OSMU program.

  • This study is mainly focused on objective evaluating the influence of the e-NIE activities on the elementary students' ICT competence which is considered as a critical feature in contemporary society. An e-NIE site which is covering 5 domains of ICT competence was constructed to support the students' e-NIE activities. An ICT competence evaluating questionaire was made to confirm the result of the e-NIE activities and the evaluation and the analysis were performed before and after the e-NIE activities. The result shows that the e-NIE activities can enhance elementary students' ICT competence.

  • This article aims to identify the characters and theme shown in dance costume and utilize them from an educational perspective by constructing digital museum archiving, which can be systematically collected, classified and stored from dance costume. It deals with definition of digital museum archiving as theoretical background and examples of how to create digital museum archiving as research content. The role that archiving plays in digital museum and effectiveness have been demonstrated. Archive is a term used to indicate extensive material and its storage and referred to as an integrative model of display in the computer-generated space. When it comes to producing dance costume as a form of digital museum, the museum is to be made in the computer-generated area of dance costume. The museum shows each division of major, medium and minor classification. The major classification divides genre of dance performance into Korean dance, modern dance and ballet. The middle involves choreographers, costume designers. The minor categorization includes newspaper, interviews, performance pictures, and programs. Digital museum has the value of space utilization, creation, culture, utilization of multiple educational programs, offering of digital museum content, two-way communication, and program development of the new display form.
