KISTI(Korea Institute of Science & Technology Information) CCBB(Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics) Website has been providing bioinformatics contents(databases and analysis tools) services to construct IT-based bioinformatics infrastructure. It also carries out the services to support domestic bioinformatics R&D activity and to construct the infrastructure. But, these services are not actively available because this CCBB website is not wellknown to users. Therefore, we performed the user survey for the researchers who are studying in the field of biological science. The items of this survey consist of subjects on bioinformatics databases, analysis tools and BioInfoNet. After the user survey is rearranged and analyzed, the result of survey will be used to provide the good service to the users who are need of bioinformatics infrastructure such as databases and analysis tools etc.

Theme park automation system is developed by using the RFID sensor reader, IIS web server, ASP.NET and MSSQL database in this paper. Its operation is that park entrance people checked automatically when he who possessed the ta8 passed the reader acquisition bound and its tag information is sent to the host computer through the RS-232 data acquisition system. Tag information and time data will be stored in the RFID database tables and reused to extract and distribute the entrance people for the purpose of each arrangement of each entertainment devices. First of all, we developed interface program between host and reader and then, programmed the related web site and database connection function using ASP.NET with $C\#$ and MSSQ. We also design and make an production of external Ant. to extend the acquisition range up to $30\~40$ cm using copper PCB plate. We confirmed the performance through the RFID test bed site.

Old maps are a cultural heritage of recorded information with humanities materials and scientific value. However, there is no sufficient study on the development of web-based information system using old maps to provide the old map information. In this study, we analyze the status of the old map information on the website of the main institutions, construct the web-based information systems to provide the unified map information efficiently and systematically. It is not easy to standardize the data categories and information searching method because of the diversity and complexity of old map. So, the importance of engineering information management is growing. Therefore, the attempting to computerized humanistic old map information and the integrated approach is very important and necessary. This study provide an opportunity to combine the humanities and engineering through the convergence between information technology, humanities, and computational engineering.

Map of geographical names can give us information for understanding of region because geographical name reflects regional perception of human. This study aimed to make an web-based map by constructing database of geographical names. Main contents carried out research on methods for classification of geographical names, database construction, and mapping on the website. Geographical name classified into four categories of the physical geography, culture and historical geography, economic geography, and the other and also, 18 sub-categories by classification criteria. Geographical name designed to input by collecting geographical names from paper-based maps and vernacular place names only known to the local region. Fields of database consisted of address, coordinates, geographical name(hangeul, hanja), classification, explanation, photographs. Map of geographical names can be represented with regional geographical information. The result of research is expected to offer information for distribution of geographical names as well as regional interpretation.

The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of developing a new information portal for the disabled by examining the general characteristics, services, resources, and external links of five domestic and foreign information portals for the disabled, and 104 websites of organizations and institutions for the disabled in Korea. Information portals for the disabled examined in this study include the 'Bokjiro' portal and Dibrary Disability portal in Korea, the NARIC portal in the U.S.A., the National Accessibility Portal of the Republic of South Africa, and the National Interactive Portal of India. The following were proposed: (1) Consider both the disabled and the general public as potential users, (2) Identify the specific subject categories appropriate for their needs, (3) Secure information from high quality information sources, (4) Provide the communication and participation channel for the disabled, and (5) Observe Web Accessibility Standards.

생명과학 기술의 급속한 발달로 인류 복지 증진에 많은 기여를 하였지만 아직도 각종 질병 등으로 많은 사람들이 고통 받고 있으며, 이를 극복하기 위한 연구 및 기술개발은 세계 각처에서 계속되고 있다. 이러한 연구 및 기술개발의 결과로 산출되는 생명정보 데이터의 양은 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있기에 이런 방대한 양의 생명정보 데이터를 분석하고 분석된 데이터에서 인류 복지에 유용한 정보를 얻기 위한 생명정보학(Bioinformatics)이 등장하게 되었다. 이에, 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)은 IT 기반 생명정보 인프라 구축의 중심기관으로 CCBB(Center for Conputationa Biology & Bioinformatics) 웹사이트를 운영하고 있다. CCBB는 전산학적인 기술을 이용한 생명현상 연구를 지원하기 위하여 21종의 생명정보 콘텐트(DB 및 분석도구)를 수집 분석 구축 제공하고 있다. 이 중에서 GenBank, PDB, PIR, Swiss-prot 등의 데이터베이스는 KISTI에서 개발한 KRISTAL 검색엔진을 통하여 국내에서도 빠르고 쉽게 검색 가능하도록 자체 구축하고 있으며, 이와 더불어 BLAST, FASTA, ClustalW 등의 주요 분석 도구 또한 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CCBB에서 제공중인 21종의 콘텐트 중에서 GenBank, REBASE, GeneCards, InterProScan 등 4종의 대용량 고효율 생명정보 콘텐트의 소개 및 업데이트 방법에 관한 내용을 기술하고자 한다.

We need to study China, the country that's improving constantly, in perspective of economic, political, social integration, and area studies with expertise in some perspective. If we expand the range of view to studies at industry research, national organization, and academia, exact information and diversity with professional research information portal site is at the core of the region. Specialized information portal site in China through an analysis of Chinese studies at the research analyzes the usage of the content. Through the main advantage of the status and content attributes of a site visitor analysis, it has shown a relatively high user loyalty through last 10 years operating as a single topic of professional information website. Through the CSF, the national level with expertise in design construction information portal site can be used as a more efficient way to build the foundation planning. Furthermore, through the effective use of information in China, the two countries, South Korea and China laid the foundation for the economic development of area studies which is expected to contribute to the establishment of information systems.

The lack of customer satisfaction and trust remains a key barrier to electronic commerce. From the standpoint of online merchants, it is critical to build consumer trust by lessening sources of apprehensions and uneasiness associated with online transactions. This paper explores the relationships between customer satisfaction and intermediary's trustworthiness factors in B2C e-marketplaces. It also aims at examining the effects of consumer characteristics, including propensity to trust and Internet shopping self-efficacy, upon trust and purchase intentions. To meet the research objectives, an empirical study has been conducted by surveying 223 active e-marketplace buyers in Korea. The findings of the present research indicate that customer satisfaction positively affects all the three attributes of trustworthiness (i.e., competence, benevolence, and integrity), and more specifically it has a quite strong association with benevolence. In addition, propensity to trust has no significant influence on trust or purchasing intentions, and only affects benevolence and integrity with no direct effect on competence. Finally, Internet shopping self-efficacy was found to affect both trust and purchasing intentions, suggesting that e-marketplaces seek an online strategy designed to strengthen loyalty for customers with high self-efficacy, while they use a strategy to improve the usability and usefulness of their website to attract customers with low self-efficacy. The paper concludes with implications and directions for future research.

This paper covers the development process of multimedia evaluation system, especially focused on customer satisfactory factors while customers navigating net-based Interactive multimedia system. Customers usually experience new level of interaction cased by newly developed web-based technology In ordinary multimedia system. However, if it gives customers satisfactory experience is a matter of question. To find out the relationship between customer satisfaction and interactivity factors exposed by multimedia system, a model has been developed which describes the structure of web-based multimedia system and its relation to customer satisfactory factors. Five different experiments, including 'semantic differential', 'focus group interview', and 'expert review', has been conducted and four customer satisfactory factors were identified. Those are 'customery value', 'structural perfectness', 'visual perfectness', and 'contemporaneity'. With these factors and newly delveoped evaluation system, 7 different web-site has been evaluated and analyzed at the end of this report.

This study investigated the current state of online subject guides in Korean academic libraries and suggests improvement. Through the examination of 100 academic libraries' Web sites, only 14 online subject guides were identified, showing that the development of online subjects guides in Korea is still in infancy. The examined online subject guides were evaluated as high quality in terms of accessibility, integration of information resources, and format consistency, but low quality in the provision of specialized subjects, user instruction, and information retrieval systems. An online subject guide should be a one-stop service that provides fast access to information resources along with subject-specialized user instruction and effective communication with librarians.
