  • Recently. Web-based library instruction is incomplete in domestic situation. The purpose of this study is to present the design criteria of web-based library instruction programs. This study draws elements of synthetic criteria that are analyzed by evaluation criteria of web site and web-based library instruction, and compares and analyzes web-based library instruction programs.

  • 본 연구의 의의는 웹을 기반으로 한 이용자교육 시스템을 구축하여 웹 기반 대학도서관 이용자교육의 효율성을 검증해 보고자 함에 있다. 효율성 검증을 위해서 이용자교육시스템을 구축한 뒤 웹 기반 이용자교육의 참여유무를 독립변인으로 하고 피실험자들의 전반적인 서비스에 대한 인식도 및 도서관 자료활용능력을 종속변인으로 하여 이들의 차이를 서로 비교, 평가해 보자 한다.

  • This study measured whether web-based library user education represent web-based instruction theories in education. 9 criteria used were course-related instruction, collaborative learning, evaluation of tutorials, education of information retrieval, contents tables, multimedia interaction between users and librarians, navigational aids, variation of menus. The result showed that both contents and design of web sites were important for good web-based library user education.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a Web-based Library User Instruction Model as a new direction for library user instruction while emphasizing importance and necessity of library user instruction. In order to do this. both the US and Korean library histories are described first. then the Web-based User Library Instruction Model that applies both the educational theories and the recent developments in technology is suggested.

  • For the sake of activating web-based reading education in the public libraries, This study examine the practical use of web-based reading education and research into its activation. Web-based reading, red the book at any time/where with librarian and user, is to achieve the goal of reading education. The methods are to set up Home page of reading education through Internet, to guide user in various web-based reading materials and reading planning at any time. In addition, It is to be completed interactive action such as book review, reading dicussion through E-mail, a bulletin board, chatting etc. with librarian or user.

  • This study intends to develop web-based information literacy program, analyze learning effects and to suggest a model case to those who wants to develop a web-based information literacy program in the future. For this purpose, we analyze undergraduate students' needs, design and develop a web-based information literacy program, and analyze the practical effects of the web-based information literacy program. As a result of research, we found out that both web-based and face-to-face information literacy program are similarly effective in learning and satisfactory to students.

  • 본 연구에서는 인터넷을 활용하여 도서관의 이용자가 편리한 웹 환경에서 스스로 이용자교육을 실행할 수 있는 개별학습 시스템을 개발한 후, 이용자 만족도 조사를 통하여 그 효율성을 평가하였다. 이 시스템은 도서관 자료검색시스템의 이용절차 뿐 아니라 정보검색이나 자료조직에 대해 이용자가 더욱 폭 넓게 이해할 수 있도록 구성하였다.

  • The alms of this study is to analyse the user's behavior, satisfaction, difficulties and selection of retrieval keywords for the use of Web-based OPAC in the College students. The methods of the questionnaire and the interview was applied to get the data and processed by using SPSSWIN 10.1. Several research results was proved the hypothesis such as differences between major subject of students in their fields. Furthermore, based on the result of this analysis, another purpose is to come up with the Improvements of functions prompting difficulties and answers to problems found in the Web OPAC, helping them to use the Web OPAC efficiently.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose some strategic directions which can promote the government libraries to provide the most effective and efficient information services. The study analyzes user opinion and demand in terms of the Web-based Information Services. For the analysis, the questionnaires were distributed to the 300 users in 18 government libraries. In the results, the study finds that the government libraries with homepage need to advertise homepage service. to provide the training programs, and to improve the system utility for better valuable homepage services. The government libraries without homepage, first of all, must construct their own homepage reflected in the users demand requiring the powerful retrieval ability, the diversity of contents, the high properness of information services.
