  • In the 21st century, we need to educate students who can perform their learning activity by themselves through free investigation and gathering information instead of providing a piece of knowledge to them directly. It is suggested that we should use Internet to bring up students who have the ability to study self-directedly. In this study, we designed a virtual English conversation class and implemented it using Web and DBMS to improve the students' self-directed learning ability who study English conversation in high school.

  • 본 연구에서는 장애인은 물론 일반 어린이들이 쉽고 재미있게 수화 언어를 배울 수 있게 도와주는 구연 동화 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 흥미를 유발할 수 있도록 이미지나 배경 소리와 같은 멀티미디어 자료와 동영상을 포함한다. 아울러, 본 시스템은 인터넷 상에서 누구나 쉽게 접근하여 배울 수 있고 단어별 수화 학습이 가능하도록 HTML 문서 형식을 가지며, 여기에 XML를 도입하여 사용자의 편리성과 단어에 대한 수화DB가 없는 경우를 고려하여 자동 지화가 생성되도록 구현한다.

  • In recent years, e-portfolios and webfolios have been highly vaunted as the next great innovation in education. Hundreds of academic institutions are variously studying, using, or innovating e-portfolio systems. Despite the presumed goodness of e-portfolios, some problems remain. In this paper we review the existing e-portfolio management systems, and propose and implement a novel system to overcome the limits of the existing e-portfolio management systems. The propose e-portfolio management system has a structure of competition with others. All of the student's activities are accomplished and preserved within the same personal web space like a blog with mutual engagements and recommendations.

  • In recent years, amount of studies on application of wetbased educational system are proceeding in educational field. This study proposes design and implementation for web-based learning system using WMT in order to practise assistance learning between teacher and students on the web. For system design and implementation, this study utilizes Windows 2000 Server and Windows Media Technology. Using WMT, we make teaming materials and put them in web-based educational system. It should be possible to make teaming in accordance with Windows Media Player for a long-distance students. As a result, this study expects to accomplish a web-based learning between teacher and student on the web.

  • Today the web-based learning management information systems are developed as forms of many ordered learning information systems acting up to the personal characteristics, but the previous systems have difficulty in their mutual working, maintaining, and repairing between the systems, because of their one-sided "push" method or reuse of the contents. Also they were not managed together having the dissimilar learning management systems each. Therefore, I made up for the weak points of the previous systems and embodied the international standard SCORM-based ordered learning management information systems. After adapting to sequencing contents, all systems are supplied; giving lectures, solving the problems, evaluating the learners and the function of successive personalization learning based on the result of the learner evaluation systems.

  • Recently, the current trend for computer based learning is moving from CAI environment to WBI environment. Most web documents for WBI learning are collected by aid of search engine. Instructors use those documents as learning materials after they evaluate availability of retrieved web documents. But, this method has the following problems. First, we search repeatedly the web documents selected by instructor. Second, there is a need for another course of instruction design in order to suggest the web documents for learner. Third, it is very difficult to analyze for relevance between the web documents and test results. In this work, we suggest WAILS(Web Agent Instruction Learning System) that retrieves web documents for WBI learning and guides learning course for learners. WAILS collects web documents for WBI learning by aid of web agent. Then, instructors can evaluate them and suggest to learners by using instruction-learning generating machine. Instructors retrieve web documents and the instruction-learning design at the same time. This can facilitate WBI learning.

  • 교육은 학습자의 타고난 재능을 최대한 계발시키는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서는 개개인에 최적화된 학습시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 수준별, 개인별 수학학습을 도와 자기주도적 학습능력을 키울 수 있는 시스템을 web상에서 개발하여 구현하고자 한다. 기존의 Web에서 제공되는 수학학습을 살펴보면 텍스트 위주의 설명, 단순한 문제를 제공하고 정, 오답의 결과만을 제시해 주는 형태가 많다. 그러나 본 시스템은 학생들의 흥미와 학습동기를 유발시키기 위해 동영상과 음성 등의 멀티미디어 자료를 이용하여 학습내용을 전개하도록 구성하였다. 또한 평가문항은 진단평가를 통해 수준을 분석받고 수준별 평가 문항으로 다운로드 받을 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이 시스템은 다양한 멀티미디어 자료의 제공으로 학습자의 학습동기와 흥미를 유발시키고 수준별 학습을 가능하게 하여 학습 성취감을 증가시킬 수 있다. 그리고 학습자는 이 시스템을 통해 스스로 학습을 선택하고 진행하게 되어 자기주도적 학습능력을 신장시키게 된다.

Development of cardiopulmonary resuscitation nursing education program of web-based instruction (웹 기반의 심폐소생술 간호교육 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a web-based instruction Program(WBI) to help nurses improving their knowledge and skill of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Using the model of web-based instruction(WBI) program designed by Rhu(1999), this study was carried out during February-April 2002 in five different steps; analysis, design, data collection and reconstruction, programming and publishing, and evaluation. The results of the study were as follows; 1) The goal of this program was focused on improving accuracy of knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The program texts consists of the concepts and importances of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR), basic life support(BLS), advanced cardiac life support(ACLS), treatment of CPR, nursing care after CPR treatment. And in the file making step, photographs, drawings and image files were collected and edited by web-editor(Namo), scanner and Adobe photoshop program. Then, the files were modified and posted on the web by file transfer protocol(FTP). Finally, the program was demonstrated and once again revised by the result, and then completed. 2) For the evaluation of the program, 36 nurses who in K university hospital located in D city, and related questionnaire were distributed to them as well. Higher scores were given by the nurses in its learning contents with $4.2{\pm}.67$, and in its structuring and interaction of the program with $4.0{\pm}.79$, and also in its satisfactory of the program with $4.2{\pm}.58$ respectively. In conclusion, if the contents of this WBI educational program upgrade further based upon analysis and applying of the results the program evaluation, it is considered as an effective tool to implement for continuing education as life-long educational system for nurse.

  • 인터넷에 의한 학습은 인터넷 활용 중 가장 증가 추세가 높은 분야이며, 장래성이 밝은 사업 분야로 주목받고 있다. 인터넷에 의한 교육은 시간 및 공간적 제약 해소, 반복 학습가능, 정보제공 및 공유 등이 용이하여 그 의미가 점차 증대되고 있다. 본 논문은 기존의 전통적 학습체제의 강의, 자율학습 및 교재 분야 등 각기 부분적 분야로 되어 있는 학습 업무 처리 체계를 통합시스템 구현을 목표로 한 웹 기반 학습 통합체계를 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 강의 및 학습 공간을 공유하고, 기존의 전통적 학습과 달리 사용자 중심의 학습을 효과적으로 진행시키는 통합 시스템(WBICSE:WBI Course or Software Engineering)을 제시하고, 설계와 구현 방법에 관해 논한다.

  • In this paper, WBI tool is designed and implemented to meet the level teaming requirements. The system is composed of management part for teacher and user part for students. The management part supports the teacher to upload the lecture notes and the testing sheets, and to evaluate the testing results. The students can study the lecture notes and examine the online tests based on their teaming level. The students can evaluate their achievement by themselves after test and can study deep learning or supplementary learning. By applying the level teaming concept, the implemented can provide the interest to the students and enhance the degree of achievement.
