A study on the vibration and the stress measurement of thin rotating discs (얇은 회전원판의 진동, 응력계측에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the equations of motion of the thin annular plate with uniform thickness were derived from the classical theory of the plate. In addition the distribution of the inplane stress and the natural frequency due to the change of the ratio of the outer radius to the inner radius was presented by the analytic method using the numerical analysis. Results were compared with those from the experiment. As a result, the strain of rotating circular plate increased as the radius and rpm became greater, and the strain of radial direction was two times greater than that of transverse direction. Besides, it was confirmed that the natural frequency increased according to the decrease of the radius keeping the thickness constant.

  • 본 논문은 LCD 제조 공정 라인에서 LCD용 원판을 다른 여러 공정으로 이송하는데 사용하기 위한 수평형 스토크 시스템의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구이다. 구동원으로 제작된 영구 자석 여자 횡자속형 전동기는 높은 공극 자속 밀도를 얻을 수 있는 구조로 일반 선형 유도 전동기나 선형 등기기에 비해 단위 체적당 높은 출력 밀도를 얻을 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 3차원 등가 자기 회로망법을 사용하여 기자력 변화에 따른 추력 및 흡인력과 같은 특성을 해석하였으며 정특성 실험을 통하여 설계 및 해석의 타당성을 검토하였다.

  • 악관절 잡음과 동통,과두 흡수를 동반한 퇴행성 측두하악장애는 교합 불안정과 개구장애 를 동반하기도 한다. 진단을 위해 CT나 MRI를 이용해 과두 형태 및 디스크 위치를 파악하 는 것이 유용한 접근법이다. 퇴행성 측두하악관절 환자는 CT나 MRI를 이용하여 진단하고, 과두-원판 재위치와 근 기능 개선을 위해 장기간 교합 안정장치 사용이 필요하므로 교정치료 기간에 변형된 교합 안정장치의 병용이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서 교합 안정장치를 병용하여 교합 재구성 증례를 CT나 MRI로 고찰해 보고자 한다.

  • Large deflection behavior of cylindrically orthotropic thin circular plates is investigated by the numerical technique of differential quadrature. Governing equations are derived in terms of transverse deflection and stress function and a Newton-Raphson technique is used to solve the nonlinear systems of equations. For small values of degree of differential quadrature (N.leq.13), as the degree of differential quadrature increases, the center deflection converges. However, as N increases further, the center deflection diverges by ill-conditioning in the weighting coefficients. As the orthotropic parameter increases, the center deflection decreases and behaves linear for the loads. At center, the stress is affected mainly by orthotropic parameter, while the stress is affected mainly by boundary condition at edge.

  • The free vibrations of the outer-clamped spinning annular disk which simulates a wafer cutting machine are investigated. The effects of the initial tension, the centrifugal force and outer-fixture extension caused by spinning on the vibration characteristics of the disk are considered. The modal parameters of the disk are calculated by using Galerkin's method as the rotating speed and initial tension are varied. Laboratory experiments are also performed with a rotating and stationary disk, and, it is found that experimental and simulation results are in good agreement.

  • Radial Dual Mass Flywheel(RDMF) is designed to reduce torsional vibration and noise occurring in automotive powertrain. In this paper, finite element method is used to evaluate stress level and critical area of the torsional spring box, a major part of RDNF system. In finite element analysis, both static and dynamic loadings are considered and it is found that the most critical spot is the welded zone of spring box. Also, fatigue test is performed and fractured surfaces are examined to find fatigue stress level by experiment.

A Study on the Fracture Phenomena in Optical Disks Due to Increase of the Rotating Speed (회전속도 증가에 의한 광디스크의 파괴현상에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the fracture phenomena of optical disks are discussed by theoretical and experimental approaches and then some recommendations are presented to prevent the fracture. Linear equations of motion are discretized by using the Galerkin approximation. From the discretized equations, the dynamic responses are computed by the generalized- time integration method. As a fracture criterion for optical disks, the critical crack length is presented. From experimental methods, the fracture procedure is analyzed. The fracture occurs when disks have crack on the inner radius of the disks. Since the crack growth and the fracture result from the stress concentration on the tip of the crack, a measure should be taken to overcome the stress concentration. This problem can be resolved by the structural modification of a disk. This study proposes 3 types of improved optical disks.

  • In this paper, dual rotor disk configuration with a coreless stator is proposed for the Lorentz force type integrated motor bearing system. An experimental compensation for the effects of high order harmonics is performed using the digital controller of the experimental setup. The runout profile and rotor unbalance are also identified by the extended influence coefficient method. The experimental results confirm that this compensation method effectively attenuates the rotor vibration all over the operating range of rotational speed.

  • In this paper, a new finite annular plate element is developed, which considers the effects of the slight deviation from a perfect axisymmetry. It is assumed that, when a local deviation is introduced to an axisymmetric plate, the natural modes are separated into the symmetric and asymmetric modes. The proposed method is very efficient because a few elements are demanded and lots of active degrees of freedom are reduced in comparison with commercial numerical analysis programs. In addition, when the deviation is small enough. It is more accurate than the result of using usual plate elements of commercial FEM programs.

  • The intervertebral disc is a cartilaginous structure that resembles articular cartilage in its biochemistry, but morphologically it is clearly different. It shows degenerative and ageing changes earlier than does any other connective tissue in the body, It is believed to be important clinically because there is an association of disc degeneration with back pain. Degenerative changes in the intervertebral disc are thought to develop as aging, mechanical stress and metabolic factors. Genetic factors may also play a part in the onset or progress of the degenerative process. They, together with environmental factors, may act as determinants of the structural characteristics of the intervertebral disc and produce a tendency to generation, In this short review we outline the morphplogy and biochemistry of normal intervertebral disc and the changes that arise during degeneration. Therefore this study will review degeneration of intervertebral disc, so we will have knowledge about low back pain associated with degenerative change in the intervertebral disc.
