Use of External Information Sources by Potential Adopters of IT Convergence Products: Focusing on Potential Adopters of Smartphone (IT융합제품 잠재구매자의 외부정보원천 활용에 대한 연구 : 스마트폰 잠재구매자를 중심으로)

  • In this study, we have examined how the potential users of IT convergence product use the external information sources for purchasing decision focusing on a case of smartphone. Although the specifications and price of IT convergence products, such as smartphone, tablet pc, and smart TV, are considered as major criteria for purchasing decision, the competitiveness of these factors have disappeared as many companies launch similar products in the market. External information sources play a significant role to differentiate the alternatives by offering value-added experience information. The effect of external information sources becomes stronger for experience and high-involvement product whose performance can be evaluated through only users' direct experience. In this study, we categorized the external information sources for smartphone into five; company ads, personal network, expert group, consumers, and media. Through an empirical study with potential smartphone users, we verified how these external information sources affect users' purchasing decision in the perspective of the perceived attributes of information source, quality of information, and individual's characteristics based on self-regulatory theory.

Trends in Low Altitude Small Drone Identification Technology and Standardization (저고도 소형드론 식별 기술 및 표준화 동향)

  • This article presents low altitude small drone identification trends at home and abroad. To reduce the dysfunction caused by the proliferation of drones worldwide, there is a growing interest in remote identification technologies that can identify the basic information of the drone. First, this article introduces policy trends in major countries. US, Europe, and China have recently provided recommendations regarding technologies available for the remote identification and tracking of a drone. Next, standardization activities on identification communications and identification systems are introduced. For this, standards organizations for the small drone identification, such as the International Organization for Standardization, IEEE 802, Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics, International Civil Aviation Organization, and $3^{rd}$ Generation Partnership Project, are investigated. Finally, drone identification technology trends are introduced. In the US and Europe, various drone identification technologies have been studied to identify a drone owner and drone registration information with a drone identifier. In South Korea, drone identification technology is still in its infancy, whereas drone detection and physical counterattack technologies are somewhat more developed. As such, major drone manufacturers are also currently studying and developing drone identification systems.

  • 본 문서에서는 RF 에너지 전송기술의 동향을 살펴보고, 분석된 내용을 바탕으로 국가적인 차원에서 RF 에너지 전송기술을 어떠한 방향으로 이끌어 가야 하는지에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 국가가 반드시 수행해야 할 기반원천기술, 산업적 특성에 따른 신시장 혹은 신기술 구현을 위한 실용원천기술 개발분야를 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 기존 자기공명방식에 대한 한계를 분석하여 한계를 극복하기 위한 핵심원천기술을 서술하였다. 마지막으로 RF 에너지 전송산업이 국내에 잘 정착하기 위한 선도전파정책을 구현하기 위한 연구분야에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 참여정부 들어 정보통신부와 정보통신연구진흥원은 우리 경제의 성장잠재력을 회복하고 국민소득 2만불을 달성하기 위한 IT산업 육성정책으로 'IT839전략'을 추진하였고, 그 결과 선진국형 R&D 발전모델 제시, IT R&D사업의 연구생산성 미국 공공연구기관 수준으로 제고, 선진국과의 기술격차 1년 이상 단축('03년 2.6년${\rightarrow}$'06년 1.6년), 총 111건의 국제표준특허 기술 확보, 기술개발 결과로 발생한 특허, 논문, 기술료 성과 큰 폭 증가 등의 성과를 얻을 수 있었다. 세계 IT 시장을 보면 선진국의 견제는 강해지고 후발국의 추격은 가속화되고 있으며, IT기반 융합기술연구 및 지재권 확보의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이러한 환경변화를 인지하고 이를 발판으로 도약하기 위해서 "기초 원천"연구를 강화하는 동시에 응용기술에 있어서는 quot;상용화quot;의 수준을 높이는 ${\ulcorner}$Smile IT 전략${\lrcorner}$을 추진할 계획이다. 이 전략의 주요내용은 첫째, IT융합연구 강화 둘째, 기술의 창의성 혁신성을 기반으로 한 미래원천기술 투자비중 확대 셋째, 융합연구와 원천기술 연구를 촉진할 수 있는 R&D 프로세스 개선 넷째, 융합 및 원천연구를 수행할 산 학 연의 연구역량을 강화 하겠다는 것이다.

  • fNIRS(functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy)는 비침습형 뇌기능 분석 시스템으로 뇌활성화 시 옥시 헤모글로빈(oxy-hemoglobin)과 디옥시헤모글로빈(deoxy-hemoglobin) 변화량을 측정할 수 있는 장치이다. 본 논문에서는 뇌기능 분석 장치인 fNIRS를 이용하여 피험자가 컴퓨터 게임 중에 어떤 뇌활성화 패턴을 보이는지를 실험하였다. 컴퓨터 게임 주의 및 집중 시 뇌의 전두엽(Frontal Lobe) 영역이 활성화 및 변화되는 것을 실험결과로 확인하였다. 그리고 게임 중 다른 사람이 피험자에게 개입을 하였을 때 전두엽의 활성화 영역이 다른 패턴을 보이는 것을 실험결과로 확인하였다.

  • Digital Social Innovation, social innovation utilizing digital technology, is gaining attenntion as an innovative new way of solving pressing social problems such as ageing, traffic, unemployment etc. while some raise concerns as to the negative impact of digital technology on society associated with Share-the-Scraps-economy and On-demand-economy. The paper aims to address these concerns by examining the nature and source of business values generated in digital social innovation. Donation, cooperation/solidarity and sharing are identified as sources of business value from social innovation. Digitization, Platform may present infrastructure upon which efficiency of economic transaction can be elevated. The participation of consumers/users in the value chain and value network enabled by digital technology is identified and discussed as the critical source of business value in digital social innovation. The business model of Docksan-dong Happy Parking Street living lab project is analysed to illuminate the realization of business vaules in real life setting. Policy recommendations and future research directions are suggested.

Analysis of Inequality Effects by Income Sources Using the Gini Income Elasticity (GIE를 이용한 소득원천 별 불평등 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of Inequality Index Decomposition is to know the cause of overall inequality through decomposing aggregate inequality index into relevant components. Previous studies have mostly focused on the absolute contribution meaning that how much each component possesses out of overall inequality. However it could be more important to know the marginal contribution and inequality effect of each component in order to implement policies reducing overall inequality effectively. For this, we decomposed Gini Coefficient as representative inequality index into income sources or social welfare programs and calculated each Gini Income Elasticity(GIE). Analysis result says that regular employee income and employer(or the self-employed) income, of which GIE are 1.205 and 1.867, are classified as inequality-increasing income source. GIE can be one of good methods to analyse the inequality effect of various income sources and social welfare programs.

  • To study the relationship between various information sources and first-to-market product innovation, this research examined how the internal and external information sources relate to first-to-market product innovation and how government regulations (economic, social and administrative) affect first-to-market product innovations, applying the perspective of Institutional Theory. For the analysis, variables used were first-to-market product innovation, internal and external information sources, and economic, social, and administrative regulations. This study was conducted based on survey data from the Korean Innovation Survey 2020 by the Science and Technology Policy Institute of Korea (STEPI). The data analyzed included small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing industry, and a total of 586 firms were used from 2017 to 2019. By analyzing the internal and external information source and government regulations that have been relatively underexplored in previous research, this study suggests new directions and provides practical and managerial implications based on the results.
