Development of Tracking System for High Maneuvering Vehicle (고기동 비행체를 위한 추적시스템 개발)

  • Tracking system is developed to receive both telemetry data and video data which are transmitted by radio frequency for the flight test of high manuvering vehicle. Tracking method of tracking system is the phase comparative monopulse that produce tracking data by measuring the phase difference of signal which is received by four patch antennas. The performance of tracking system is verified by flight test for RC helicopter and rocket.

Home-range of Raccoon Dog Nyctereutes procyonoides Living in the Rural Area of Korea (농촌 지역의 너구리 Nyctereutes procyonoides 행동권)

  • The objectives of this paper are to estimate home range and core habitat area of raccoon dog living in the rural area of Korea. A radio-telemetry study was carried out on 22 raccoon dog individuals. Among these individuals, 4 raccoon dogs made 2 pairs and they were monogamous and moved together all the year round. Mean home-range size of 9 individuals which were radio-tracked more than 3 months was $0.80km^2$ (100% MCP). The mean home range size of male individuals was $0.98km^2$ (N=5, 100% MCP) and that of female individuals was $0.58km^2$ (N=4, 100% MCP). On the other hand, in case 95% MCP(Mininlum Convex Polygon) was applied, the gap of home-range size between sex distinction was closed to $0.63km^2$ (male) and $0.42km^2$ (female). The home range size of two pairs of which the male and the female were radio-tracked at the same time showed little difference. In case of one pair, the home range size(95% MCP) was $0.28km^2$ (male) and $0.26km^2$ (female) and in case of the other pair, it was $0.36km^2$ each (male and female). Consequently there seems no significant difference in the home-range size between a male and a female racoon dog except the unusual cases such as unpaired individuals or the ones with no fixed territory.

  • This paper presents implementation details of home appliance control system using personal communicator based on LN2440 single board computer, which recognizes hand-gesture of user, controls remote moving device such as mobile home server, robot etc. through delivery of proper control commands. Also, this paper includes details of design and implementation of home gateway and mobile home server. The implemented prototype can be utilized to develop various remote control system including a remote exploration robot, intelligent wheelchair based on general purpose embedded system.

Home-range Analysis of Pipistrelle Bat (Pipistrellus abramus) in Non-Reproductive Season by Using Radio-tracking (원격무선추적을 이용한 집박쥐의 비번식기 행동권 분석)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the home range size of Pipistrellus abramus in non-reproductive season. The survey was conducted in the day-roosting site of Pipistrellus abramus located in Gyeongju City(North Gyeongsang Province). We radio-tracked six Pipistrellus abramus(male 3, female 3) and LTM single stage radio transmitter(0.38g), R2000 ATS receiver, three element yagi antenna, roof mounted antenna and ArcGIS 3.3(ESRI, Animal Movement Extension 2.0) were used to locate bats and home range analyze. The home range sizes of the 6 radio-tracked Pipistrellus abramus ranged from 8.97 to 19.07ha(Maen $14.46{\pm}3.44ha$). Mean home range size of female($16.83{\pm}1.96ha$) was larger than that of male($12.08{\pm}2.96ha$) but there were no significant differences in home range sizes between male and female(t=2.32, p>0.05). Also, mean maximum distances from the roost was $468.73{\pm}94.38m$ but there were no significant differences between sexes(female, $422.73{\pm}10.38m$; male, $514.74{\pm}125.74m$; t=-1.26, p>0.05).

  • 본 논문은 개인용 휴대장비인 디지털카메라등을 통하여 차량의 앞/뒤 번호판을 자동인식하며 인식된 결과를 텍스트 형식으로 결과를 사용자에게 통보함은 물론, 입력된 차량의 정보를 부호화하고 통신망을 통하여 원격지 서버로 전달하고 원격지 서버는 복호화과정을 거쳐 전송된 텍스트 형태의 차량번호를 확인하여 차량에 대한 정보를 제공하는 시스템이다. 이는 급증하는 차량범죄 및 차량통제, 도난차량검거, 수배차량추적등 많은 분야에 효과적으로 사용이 가능하며 무선 및 도로교통에 많은 편의성과 효율성을 제고할 수 있다고 사료된다.

  • The proposed system in this paper uses a camera attached to a mobile device in order to inquire a car and track its location anywhere. To do this, the system recognizes and verifies license plates on the front and back of a cu. The plates are scanned by the camera attached to a mobile device. The technology enables us to detect a car registration number and to transmit the number along with the location of the device to a server through a wireless communication network. The information of a car obtained through the terminal is encoded and transmitted to a server in a remote place through a wireless communication network also. The car registration number and its location information are decoded and transmitted as a text to the server in a remote place. In order to track a user´s location through spatial relative distance estimated in real-time, the server uses the spatial and attribute information which are the most prior to the desired data value. With this property information, the right location can be calculated.

Home-range of Wild Boar, Sus scrofa Living in the Jirisan National Park, Korea (지리산의 멧돼지 Sus scrofa 행동권)

  • The objectives of this paper are to estimate home range and core habitat area of wild bores in Jirisan National Park of Korea. A radio-telemetry study was carried out on 5 wild boar individuals (3 females and 2 males). Except one individual whose enough data could not be collected, the mean home range size of 4 individuals was $5.13km^2$ (95% kernel) and mean core habitat area was $1.18{\pm}0.31km^2$ (50% kernel). Home-range sizes of 2 females were $6.21km^2\;and\;5.45km^2$ each, and that of 2 males were $5.15km^2\;and\;3.72km^2$ each, which means home-ranges of female boars were larger than those of male boars in this research. This result is presumed to have been caused by the fact that the males were sub adult individuals weighing 40 kg and 19 kg when they were captured for this research.

  • This paper proposes a method to track the center of pupil and perform the remote control for interface based on the substituted commands according to movements of pupil under smart phone environment. The proposed method, which is a remote control through the movement of eyes, may be helpful for the handicapped people or users who want a more convenient input method. A method based on webcam, which is representative one among the previous methods to track pupil of user, has a few limitations on distance and angle between location of user and webcam. However, this paper uses smart phone that is convenient to carry. The proposed method can perform the remote control through tracking of pupil using wireless network without any restriction on the location of users. Thus, the method is effectively applied for controlling the smart TV that should be controlled on the distance as well as the remote control for PC.

  • 본 논문에서는 무선인터넷 플랫폼의 표준인 WIPI와 사람추적시스템을 결합한 모바일 사람추적 감시시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 보안시스템이 가동된 시간 내에 침입자가 보안영역에 들어오면 침입자를 추적하여 추적된 영상과 추적정보를 사용자의 WIPI 단말기로 전송함으로써, 사용자가 언제 어디서나 손쉽게 여러 곳의 감시구역을 감시하고 감시결과를 인지할 수 있는 원격모니터링 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 또한 제안된 시스템은 다수의 CCTV에 촬영된 영상을 영상처리를 통해 설계된 사람모델을 이용하여 사람을 추적하고, 어떤 카메라에서 사람이 추적되었는지, 추적된 사람의 상태가 어떠한지, 몇몇의 사람이 침입하였는지 등의 침입상황을 사용자의 단말기를 통해 추적상황을 알려준다. 본 시스템은 추적된 정보를 모바일 클라이언트로 전송되는 것을 확인하기 위하여 WIPI SDK를 이용하여 구현하였다. 또한 감시된 상황을 서버에 자동적으로 저장함으로써 추후에 사용자가 감시상황을 재확인하고자 했을 시, 카메라별 또는 시간 별로 선택하여 영상을 재확인 할 수 있다.
