The Study of Installation and Installation Test for Tilting Train ATP On-board Equipment (틸팅열차용 ATP 차상장치의 설치 및 설치시험 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 틸팅열차의 안전성 확보 및 운행효율 향상을 위해 "한국형 틸팅열차 신뢰성 평가 및 운용기술개발" 연구과제의 한 분야로 추진된 ATP 차상장치의 설치 및 시운전시험에 대한 내용 및 결과를 제시하고 있다. 한국철도기술연구원에서는 기존선의 속도 향상과 KTX 비수혜지역의 여객 서비스 향상을 위해 틸팅열차를 개발하였으며 개발된 틸팅열차의 신뢰성 평가를 위해 기존에 사용되고 있는 ATS 장치에 의한 10km 주행 시운전 시험을 진행하였다. 국토해양부에서는 KTX가 운행되지 않는 지역인 중앙선 및 충북선을 비롯한 7개 기존 노선을 200km/h 이상으로 고속화하기로 하였으며, 이에 따라 열차제어시스템은 기존의 ATS 장치에서 ATP 장치로 개량하여야 한다. 따라서 틸팅열차에도 ATP 차상장치를 설치하여 운행 적합성을 확인하여야 하기 때문에 한국철도공사의 경부선 및 호남선 ATP 구축사업에 사용된 것과 동일한 ATP 차상장치를 틸팅열차에 설치하여 시험하였다.

  • 올해(2004년) 연말로 예정된 남북철도 연결이 동북아 지역의 물적교류에 미칠 영향에 관한 연구는 TSR, TCR. TMGR, TMR에 관한 연구와 함께 국내에 이미 상당한 수준 축척 되었지만 물적교류와 함께 동북아 교류협력에 또 한축을 이루고 있는 인적교류 즉 여객수송에 관한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 인구가 조밀하고 경제성장속도가 빠른 서울↔북경 축에 국제 여객열차를 운행할 경우를 가정하여 기존의 항공$.$해운에서 철도로의 수요 전환량을 실제 설문조사를 통하여 구하고 이를 수송할 열차운행 계획을 세운다. 나아가 국제 여객열차 운영자의 입장에서 예상수입 및 비용을 현실성 있게 분석하고 수익성 여부도 유동성, 순현재 가치, 내부수익율 세가지로 검토하여 한$.$중간 국제 여객열차 운행의 가능성을 검증한다.

The Change Rate of Fuel Consumption for Different IRI of Paved Roads (포장도로의 거칠기 변화에 대한 차량 연료소모량 변화율)

  • High VOC(Vehicle Operating Cost) is the main reason for the rehabilitation of paved road and VOC is composed of fuel consumption, lubricant oil consumption, parts consumption, etc. Fuel consumption is one of the largest components of VOC and the roughness of road represents the deterioration level of the road. For these reasons, the fuel consumption is measured for different IRI(International Roughness Index) in this study. The fuel consumption was measured by processing the voltage signal of fuel injector of vehicle and the speed was measured with GPS. The change rate of fuel consumption for different IRI can be calculated with the results of this test. It's concluded that fuel consumption(L/100km) of medium and large passenger car increases 7 times fast of the increase of IRI(m/km) around 3.5m/km in the speed range of 40 ~ 100km/h, and fuel consumption is the best at 60km/h.

  • 철도차량의 동력원은 화석연료를 사용하던 디젤차량에서 최근 고속전철 및 도시철도차량, 경량전철 등 전기를 주 동력원으로 사용되고 있다. 철도차량에 전기를 공급하는 시스템은 일반적으로 개활지 등 지상구간에 적용되고 있는 가공전차선 방식과 지하구간, 터널 등에 적용되고 있는 강체가선방식 그리고 경량전철 등에 채용되고 있는 제 3궤조방식이 있다. 최근에는 일반적으로 지하구간의 가선시스템에 적용되던 T-Bar방식의 강체가선 방식에서 탈피하여 고속주행이 가능한 R-Bar방식의 강체가선 방식에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 최근까지 지하구간의 터널구조에서 강체전차선로를 급전시스템으로 채택할 경우 열차의 최고속도는 국내의 경우 90km/h, 국외의 경우 160km/h를 넘지 못하는 실정이었다. 그러나 이를 극복한 제품이 개발되어 열차운행 최고속도를 200~250km/h까지 향상시킬 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 최근 설계속도 250km/h 급 R-bar방식 강체전차선로 인터페이스를 위한 이선현상 모의 시뮬레이터 개념 설계에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 집전성능과 관계가 있는 전기철도차량 이선현상 요인 및 영향 분석하였으며 강체전차선로 운행에 따른 이선 등으로 인한 영향을 고찰하기 위해 이선 현상 모의 시뮬레이터 개념 설계에 대한 연구를 수행하였다.

An Application of Data Mining Techniques in the Driving Pattern Analysis (데이터마이닝을 이용한 운행패턴 분석방법에 대한 연구)

  • Recently, as the importance of Economical Driving has been gradually growing up, the needs for research on automatic analysis of driving patterns that will ultimately provide drivers the methods for Economical Driving have been increasingly risen. Based on this purpose, we have executed two things in this paper. First, we have collected overall driving information such as date, distance, driving time, speed, idle time, sudden acceleration/deceleration count, and the amount of fuel consumption. Second, we have analyzed the influences of driving patterns on economical driving by employing the data mining techniques. These results can be applied in preventing bad driving patterns which will have consequently bad effects on Economical Driving in two aspects: by presenting some information on the terminal of the vehicles such as idle time, over-speed time, sudden acceleration/deceleration count continuously and by providing the drivers with alert information when the idle time ratio and the over-speed time ratio are excessive.

Field Tests and Resonance Behavior Corresponding to the Damping Ratio of a High Speed Railroad Bridge (고속철도 교량의 현장실험 및 감쇠비 개선에 따른 공진 시 동적응답의 분석)

  • In general, it is difficult to measure dynamic responses of a bridge with stepwise increasing speed of a train during commercial service on a high speed railroad. However, before opening the 2nd stage of the Gyeongbu high speed railroad, there was an opportunity for field tests and measurements of the bridge with stepwise increasing speed(from 170km/ h to 315km/h). The measured responses were compared with the results of a developed bridge/train interaction analysis. Although good agreement was found throughout almost the entire range of speeds, relatively large differences were found in the vicinity of the critical speed at which resonance behavior of the bridge occurs. To investigate the cause of this, reanalyses are performed with re-estimated damping ratios from field tests.

  • 자기부상열차의 효율적인 추력제어 및 안전성 높은 운행을 위해서 고성능의 속도/위치 검출 시스템이 중요한 역할을 한다. 일반열차는 바퀴가 선로에 접촉하여 주행하므로 차축의 회전속도를 측정해서 열차의 선로위를 일정한 간격을 두고 부상하여 주행하므로 비접촉식 측정방법을 사용해야만 한다[1-5]. 특히, 고속으로 주행하는 자기부상열차의 속도를 측정하기 위해서는 응답속도가 빠른 센서시스템을 개발하며, 또한 열차주행에 수반되는 자기장의 영향을 극소화하도록 센서시스템을 설계해야만 한다. 본고에서는 전형적인 자기부상열차인 일본의 HSST 시스템(주행속도 100km/h)과 독일의 Transrapid 시스템(주행속도: 400km/h)에 적용되고 있는 속도/위치 검출 시스템의 작동원리를 상세히 설명한다. HSST 시스템은 유도무선(inductive radio system) 방법을 이용하고 Transrapid 시스템은 와전류근접센서(eddy-current proximity sensor)를 이용한다.

  • In relation with economical efficiency analysis on investment evaluation of transportation system, among vehicle operating cost saving benefit that is applied to general preliminary assessment guidelines and investment evaluation guidelines, oil expense calculated data which concentrated and analyze on the relationship between oil consumption amount on running state and running speed. For uninterrupted flow which does not have stopped delay due to traffic signal, consideration for reduction benefit is possible due to the changes of running speed and travel time however, for interrupted flow which the stopping occurs due to signal control on actual signal intersection has no consideration for stopping delay time reduction and stopping rate improvement thus reflection of reality on improved effect analysis is difficult. Therefore, this research makes a framework to analyze benefits that reflects the features of signalized intersections by benefits associated with decrease of stopping delay time with existing research and developing vehicle operating cost calculation model formula. Vehicle operating cost has been redefined considering the stopping delay time by applying the oil consumption amount at idling and the economical benefit between conventional model and newly developed model when applied for the optimization of traffic signal system on the two roads in Seosan city has been analyzed comparative. While the importance of traffic system maintenance is being emphasized due to the increase of congested areas on roads, it is expected to assist in more realistic economical analysis which reflect the delay improvement through the presentation of an economic analysis model that considers the features of signalized intersections in signal optimization system improvements and effect analysis of congestion improvement projects`.

A Methodology Study for Estimating the Benefits of Tilting Train Deployment (틸팅열차 투입에 따른 추정가능한 편익계상 연구)

  • Unlike high-speed KTX trains and dual track railways, most single-track railways are not popular among passengers because of long travel hours. As a solution to the problem, tilting trains will be deployed along the conventional line. Tilting train has a mechanism that enables increased speed on regular and curved railway tracks. As a train rounds a curve at speed, objects inside the train experience centrifugal force. This can cause packages to slide about or seated passengers to feel squashed by the outboard armrest due to its centripetal force, and standing passengers to lose their balance. Tilting trains possess a top speed of up to 180 km per hour as opposed to the previous 140 km per hour, so allow the train to pass curve at higher speed without affecting passenger comfort. This paper describes the methodology study to estimate the benefits, especially on the extra benefits in case of tilting actuation.

A Study on the Primary Factors Delaying City-BUS Service (도시(都市) BUS 운행저해요인(運行沮害要因)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • The purpose of this study is to define the primary factors obstructing the bus services that play an important part in mass transportation in almost the cities, and then to develop the models for travelling speed. To define the primary factors, two video cameras were used in this study, one for speed meter, the other for traffic condition, from which time-speed graphs were made. In the graphs, the gaps between road regulation speed and travelling speed were analyzed by monitor analysis. After this, primary delay factors were classified by quantification theory type I. and then to develop the models for travelling speed, stepwise analysis was used.
