  • 선박은 근본적으로 파랑이 향상 존재하는 해상에서 운항하게 되므로 파랑 중에서의 선체운동 여객, 승무원, 화물 및 선박 자체의 안전과 밀접한 관계를 가지게 된다. 뿐만 아니라 선박의 운동은 해상에서의 각종 활동과 임무수행의 정도를 결정하는 주요한 인자가 되고 있다. 횡동요(Rolling)는 6 자유도 운동 가운데에서 가장 중요한 운동이며, 선박들이 근본적으로 횡동요에 대하여 낮은 감쇠특성을 갖고 있기 때문에 안정성 측면에서 볼 때에 가장 많이 제어되어 왔다. (중략)

  • 선박으로부터 발생하는 해양사고는 귀중한 인명과 재산은 물론 사고 선박으로 부터 배출된 유류와 폐기물 등의 유해물질은 주변어장을 황폐화시킬 뿐만 아니라 해양생물을 멸종시키는 해양오염원이 되고 있다. 해상에서 발생하는 해양사고는 항행중 태풍이나 폭풍 등을 만나 선박이 침몰하거나 전복되는 불가항력적인 자연 재해와 선박의 구조와 설비 등의 선체 결함에 의한 요인도 있으나, 최근의 해양사고는 그 선박을 조종하고 관리하는 승무원의 항해 부주의나 직무태만, 항해정보의 부정확과 운항기술의 미숙등 인적과실에 의해 발생하는 선박해양사고가 대부분을 차지하고 있다. The Relationship between Organizational Culture and Emotional Labor: The Mediating Effect of Social Support (조직문화와 정서노동과의 관계: 사회적 지지의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between organizational culture(constructive and defensive culture) and emotional labor along with the social supports (supervisor support, colleague support). Using data obtained from a survey of 419 flight attendants of a major airline company in south Korea. The results are as follows: Organizational culture had a significant effect on emotional labor. At this point, colleague support mediated the relationship between constructive culture and emotional labor. In addition, supervisor support and colleague support had a mediating role between defensive culture and emotional labor. This result concludes that flight attendants positively accept the essential manuals and safety regulations in the special working condition with a unified team service. Furthermore, the results show that social supports are an important job resource for flight attendants helping them reach their work-related goals.

  • Various aviation safety performance and safety oversight programmes including CRM, SMS and USOAP are operated in various sizes, depending on the capacity of each State. Despite such activities, greate and small, aviation incidents and accidents are continuously occurred. In relation to this point, this paper suggests a result of comprehensive literature review for the purpose of building an aviation safety performance theory. This paper will define the concept of aviation safety and following created common perception on aviation safety will, as basic materials, contribute to pursue consistence and systematic aviation safety activities.

  • The object of this study is to verify the effects of job stress on burnout and job satisfaction of flight attendants and to confirm the difference in the effect on the consciousness of full service carrier and low cost carriers' flight attendants. In order to confirm, the study examines the relationship between job stress, burnout, and job satisfaction of airline cabin attendant. A survey was done for 55days from January 5th 2014 on flight attendants and total 200 valid samples were analysed. The results of the study demonstrated significant relationship and difference in job stress, burnout and job satisfaction of flight attendants between full service carrier and low cost carrier. As a result, the study is significant as it satisfaction between divergent airline work environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide in-flight security in situations where aviation security is constantly threatened by the increase in illegal interference in aircraft and the threat of terrorism that still exists. It is to identify legal operational problems such as education and qualification of the original system and to propose improvement measures. To this end, the need for revision based on relevant laws and guidelines such as "Operation Guidelines for In-Flight Security Officers" is to be discussed based on international standards such as ICAO and Federal Air Marshal. The research method was based on interviews with SEMs such as cabin managers, which focused on ensuring the legal status of In-Flight Security Officer, establishing relationships with captains, and improving education and training.

  • Purpose: This study aims to compare the general characteristics, life-style, health examination results, and sick leave days by airmen medical examination decision and to investigate factors affecting sick leave days. Methods: We obtained data from 2,361 Korean pilots who worked for a commercial airline. Comparison of the results by airmen medical examination decision (Fit or waver) was conducted using the 𝝌2 test or Fisher's exact test. Factors affecting sick leave days were analyzed using logistic regression. Results: Age, smoking history, blood pressure, obesity, and fasting blood sugar level were significantly different between the Fit and Waver groups. Rate of using sick leave long-term was higher in the Waver than in the Fit. Sick leave days were significantly associated with age, habits of drinking, and smoking in the Fit group. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the health risk factors that affect the number of sick leave days. By providing basic data for the health care of workers, it is expected to be applicable to the provision of health promotion and disease prevention programs for workers.

선박의 자동화와 Computer의 이용

  • 박용분야에 있어서 과거 10년간 가장 진보된 것의 하나는 저동화이다. 과거에 있어서 주기관의 성능과 축계의 강도상의 문제등에 대하여 많은 관심을 가졌던 선박관계자가 그 이상으로 자동화에 대하여 관심을 갖게 된 것은 성역화에 의한 승무원의 노동조건을 개선함과 동시에 자동화에 의한 승조원의 수를 삭감하여 운항비를 낮추어야 할 필요성이 절실히 요망되었기 때문이라고 생각된다. 그러나 석유 파동이후, 세계각국이 저성장기를 맞아 선박자동화도 당분간 별 진전이 없을 것으로 보여진다. 그 1 예로서 일본 NK의 발표에 의하면 각 년도별 MO입급선의 전입급선에 대한 비율이 1972년의 35%를 피이크로 하여 1975년도에는 10%로 감소하고 있다. Computer를 탑재한 초자동화선의 운항척수도 점차 증가 되고 그 신뢰성도 인정이 되고는 있지만 1980년대 전반까지는 초자동화선에 대한 반성기가 계속될 것으로 보아지며, 보다더 가격이 저렴하고 이용율이 높은 Mini-Computer의 사용에 의한 단순화, 통일화가 앞으로 촉진될 것으로 생각된다. 본 원고에서는 선박자동화의 현황과 선박의 Computer Control System에 대해서 극히 개괄적으로 또한 피상적으로 소개하는데 그쳤다. 자동화의 각기기에 대해서는 지면상 언급하지 못하였으니 본 원고 말미의 참고문헌이나 이에 대한 전문서적을 참고하여 주기 바란다. 멀지않은 장래 Computer가 선박운항에 필요 불가결한 기기로 등장할 것만은 사실일 것으로 보아지는 바 선박관계자로 하여금 이러한 분야에 관심을 갖도록 하는데 본고가 다소나마 도움이 되기를 바라마지 않는다.

Implementation of the Web-Based K-LOSA Program for the Safety Observation in Normal Operation (정상운항에서 안전 관찰을 위한 웹 기반 K-LOSA 프로그램 구현)

  • Line operation safety audit (LOSA) is the proactive data collection system to capture the accident and serious incident caused by flight crew and is the safety management program for collecting threat error management (TEM) and crew resource management (CRM) during normal operations. The typically LOSA is written by hand, manages and archives the LOSA Observation Worksheet. But, this method is not easy to archive and ensure confidentiality of the LOSA worksheets. As we implemented the K-LOSA of the web-document type instead of the existing LOSA archive method and change the TEM category code. we yields to archive the efficient data management and confidentiality. In this paper, we introduce the LOSA and to configure the K-LOSA program.

Relationships among Job Stress, Health Beliefs and Health Behaviors of Aircrews (운항승무원의 직업스트레스, 건강신념 및 건강행위)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this correlational study was to identify relationships among job stress, health beliefs and health behaviors of aircrews and contributing factors to aircrew's health promoting behaviors. Method: Two-hundred twenty-four aircrew members completed questionnaires. The questionnaires were composed of a demographic form, health behavior scale, self-efficacy scale, perceived benefit scale, perceived barrier scale, job demand scale, and latitude scale. Result: The subject's health behavior has shown significant correlations with self-efficacy, benefit, and barrier. Significant negative correlations were found between job stress and self-efficacy. Relationships between job stress and barriers were also statistically significant. In demographic features, statistically significant difference were found between subject's rank and job stress score. Also, there was a significant difference between health behavior and the subject's age. Conclusion: Future efforts should focus on the development of a program to consider aircrew's perceived benefits, perceived barriers and self-efficacy to the compliance of health promoting behaviors.
