정성적 시뮬레이션에 의한 화력발전소 보일러 프로세스의 고장진단

  • 최근 산업 플랜트의 공정제어 시스템은 복잡하고 대규모화되어 고장 발생시 경제적 손실과 위험성이 증폭되어 규정된 안정서와 신뢰성 확보가 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 고장검출 및 진단기법은 시스템의 신뢰성을 높이기 위한 효과적인 방안을 연구하는 것으로 현대에 들어서 많은 학자들의 관심을 끌고 있으며 실제 계통에 점차적으로 응용되고 있다. 현재까지 개발된 고장검출 및 진단기법은 사용된 프로세스 모델의 형태, 고장검출 진단 알고리즘에 따라 다양하게 분류 될 수 있으며 일반적으로 사용된 모델에 따라 크게 1) 정량적 모델에 근거한 해석적 기법, 2) 정성적 모델에 근거한 기법, 3) 지식기반 진단 기법으로 구분 할 수 있다. 이중 정량적 모델 기법은 대상계통의 수학적 모델에 근거하여 운전 데이터를 분석함으로서 고장검출 진단을 수행하는 해석적 기법으로서 근본적으로 계통의 정확한 수학적 모델을 요구하므로 불확실성을 포함한 계통 및 비선형성이 강한 계통등에는 적용이 곤란하다. 정성적 모델 및 지식기반 기법은 정량적 진단 기법과는 달리 대상 프로세스에 대한 수학적 모델 대신에 운전자의 경험과 프로세스 변수간의 상호 작용 및 고장의 전파과정, 고장원인과 증상과의 직접적인 관계에 대한 구조적 지식에 근거한 것으로 고장원인에 대한 계통의 동작을 추론 할 수 있으며, 상황 변화에 따른 영향을 예측할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 정성적 모델 및 지식기반 기법에 근거한 고장검출 및 진단 기술을 화력 발전소 보일로 프로세스에 적용하여 정성적 시뮬레이션에 의한 설비의 고장을 조기에 발견하여 고장 파급으로 인한 발전 정지 및 설비의 손상 확대를 방지하고 고장 발생시 신속한 원인 규명 및 후속 조치관련 정보들을 운전원에게 제공할 목적으로 현재 전력원에서 개발중인 지능형 경보시스템에 대하여 기술하고자 한다.음과 같이 설명하였다. 서로 상반되는 것들이 다음과 같이 설명하였다. 서로 상반되는 것들이 부딛힘이 없이 공존하고 일상의 논리가 무시된다. 부정, 의심이 없고 확실한 것이 없다. 한 대상에 가졌던 생각이 다른 대상에 옮겨간다(displacement). 한 대상이 여러 대상이 갖고 있는 의미를 함축하고 있다(condensation). 시각적인 순서가 무시된다. 마음속의 생각과 외부의 실제적인 일을 구분하지 못한다. 시간 상의 순서가 있다가 없다가 한다. 차례로 일어나야 할 일이 동시에 한꺼번에 일어난다. 대상들이 서로 비슷해지고 동시에 있을 수 없는 대상들이 함께 나타난다. 사고의 정상적인 구조가 와해된다. Matte-Blance는 무의식에서는 여러 독립된 대상들간의 구분을 없애며, 주체와 객체를 하나로 보려는 대칭화(symmetrization)의 경향이 있기 때문에 이런 변화가 생긴다고 하였다. 또 대칭화가 진행되면 무한대의 느낌을 갖게 되어, 전지(moniscience), 전능(omnipotence), 무력감(impotence), 이상화(idealization)가 나타난다. 그러나 무의식에 대칭화만 있는 것은 아니며, 의식의 사고양식인 비대칭도 어느 정도 나타나며, 대칭화의 정도에 따라, 대상들이 잘 구분되어 있는 단계, 의식수준의 감정단계, 집단 내에서의 대칭화 단계, 집단간에서의 대칭화 단계, 구분이 없어지는 단계로 구분하였다.systems. A Study on the Evaluation of Cabin Thermal Environment and Marine Fuels for Fuel Saving in Summer According to the Improvement of Air Conditioning System - The Case of Training Ship SAENURI - (공조시스템 개선에 따른 하절기 선실 온열환경 평가 및 유류절감에 관한 연구 - 실습선 새누리호를 중심으로 -)

  • In this study, Mokpo national maritime university Training ship Centralizes Air Conditioning System was upgraded by installing onboard an Air-cooled Air conditioner. This resulted in the improvement of the performance and operation. This study compared refrigeration performance to former equipment and improving one. And through the actual measurement study about the cabin thermal environment, it will be used as basic data for marine air conditioning design and plan in the future. At same climate condition, when the Centralized Air Conditioning System and an improved air conditioning system operated, cabin temperature was at $24{\sim}28^{\circ}C$, humidity was 55~75 % as comfortable condition, Generator load measurement showed a saving of 48KW in the average load and 8 % in the full load factor. This also resulted in a saving of daily fuel oil consumption(FOC) at around 222 [${\ell}/day$] average. On the other hand, one cadet cabin(Cadet No.21) indicated a higher temperature due to heat transmission of engine room. It found us not to consider installing additional diffuser to reduce the heat transmission.

Cognitive Function Affecting Self-reported Driving Test of Mild Cognitive Impaired Elderly Driver in The Community (지역사회 거주 경도인지장애 노인 운전자의 자가-보고식 평가 수행에 영향을 미치는 인지기능)

  • A self-report evaluation is used to prevent driving accidents by elderly drivers. The majority of normal older adults may have mild cognitive impairment with reduced cognitive function. These depressed cognitive functions may be variables that affect the performance of elderly drivers. This study confirmed the cognitive functions that affect the self-reported evaluation for elderly drivers with mild cognitive impairment. Based on the results of the Korean Version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, 103 elderly drivers were classified into mild cognitive impairment and normal groups of elderly drivers. The Korean-Drivers 65 plus scores used in the self-reported evaluation of the two groups were compared, and the cognitive functions affecting the evaluation were analyzed. Results found the mild cognitive impairment group showed a significantly lower evaluation performance compared to the normal group, and the self-reported evaluation results of the elderly driver with mild cognitive impairment showed a significant correlation between visuoconstructional skills and delayed recall. As a result of regression analysis, the visuoconstructional skill was identified as the cognitive function with the strongest influence on the self-reported evaluation performance. Delayed recall was also found to have a partial effect but not at the level of altering the self-reported evaluation results of the elderly driver with mild cognitive impairment.

A Study of the Regeneration of Spent GAC using an Electrochemical Method (전기화학적 방법을 이용한 Spent Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)의 재생 연구)

  • This study investigates the characteristics of the GAC adsorption behavior during the operation of a multi-stage cross-flow filtration and GAC adsorption process for the purpose of devising an advanced treatment of combined sewer overflows (CSOs) and evaluates the regeneration efficiency of spent GAC that has reached the design breakpoint. During the filtration process, suspended substances are easily removed, but dissolved organic substances are not removed, necessitating a process capable of removing dissolved organic substances for the advanced treatment of CSOs. In general, GAC adsorption has been applied under low-concentration organic conditions, such as for water purification and tertiary treatments of sewage, and has rarely been applied under conditions with high organic concentrations, such as with sewage or CSOs. Accordingly, this study will provide a new and interesting experience. Also in this study, the continuous operation and breakthrough characteristics of GAC according to the strength of the inflow organic matter were investigated, electrochemical regeneration was applied to the used GAC, and the regeneration efficiency was evaluated through desorption and re-adsorption tests. The results showed that the breakthrough period was 21 days under high concentration conditions, 28 days at medium concentrations, and 32 days under low concentration conditions. The desorption of adsorbed organic matter through electrolysis occurred in the range of 188 to 609 mgCOD/L depending on the electrolysis conditions, and the effect of the electrolyte type led to the finding that NaOH was slightly higher than H2O2.

Prediction of Tcv for Coal Slags under Reducing Condition (환원 조건에서 석탄 슬래그의 Tcv 예측)

  • The slag viscosity is an important factor determining the operation temperature of entrained flow type of gasifiers. The temperature of critical viscosity, $T_{cv}$, for 5 crystalline slags was predicted by empirical models and FactSage equilibrium calculations, and the validity of each method was tested. Two empirical models were employed: one using $T_h$ from the ash fusion test, and the other using the concentrations of 5 major components. The first model using $T_h$ over-predicted $T_{cv}$ by $20{\sim}100^{\circ}C$, while the model based on the slag composition under-predicted $T_{cv}$ by $80{\sim}120^{\circ}C$. In the equlibrium calculations, $T_{cv}$ was obtained from the liquidus temperature. When the 4-major component concentrations were used in the calculation, the predicted temperatures were higher than the observed. The liquidus temperature was very sensitive to the concentrations of minor components, and the addition of MgO and $Na_2O$ lowered the liquidus temperature. The results with 4 major and 3 minor components most closely described experimentally observed $T_{cv}$. In the case that a chromia refractory was used, it was shown that $Cr_2O_3$ concentration in the slag also needs to be included for more accurate prediction of $T_{cv}$.

  • In this study, we investigated the permeation property of single gases ($N_2$, $O_2$, $SF_6$, $CF_4$ through hollow fiber polymeric membrane (PSF, PC, PI) as a function of pressure and temperature to decide operating condition for $SF_6$ gas separation process. The results showed the gas permeation varied differentlydepending on the properties of gases and membrane. When permeance of each gases was represented as a function of temperature and pressure in 3 dimensional space, the surface of permeance was shown approximately flat. Thus, we established permeance models with forms of first-and second-order polynomial. These two models showed high goodness of fit. This indicates that the two polynomial models have enough applicability to predict the gas separation process.

Drinking Culture Among Korean College Students (일개 지역 남녀 대학생들의 음주문화 실태 -일개 대학의 사례를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct a survey of general status of drinking culture among college students in Korea. Three hundred college students answered the self-administered questionnaire from May 6 to May 10 in 2009. The questionnaire consisted of drinking-related behavior by gender, recognition and need for moderation in drinking program, and the reason for stopping drinking by gender. The statistical method was done by SPSS WIN version 14.0. The first drinking time was high school comprising 41.0% of the respondents. The reason for drinking was to get the personal relationship. The experience of blackout was 50.3% in twice a year and 26.0% in twice per six months. The reasons for stopping drinking were health problem(36.9%), personal relationship(34.5%), and financial difficulty(20.8%). These results will make it possible to establish the right drinking habit, prevention of sexual violence and vehicle accident and health promotion of the students.

  • KHNP CRI has developed APR+ nuclear power plant since 2007, which is GEN III+ model with 1500 MWe capacity. To develop safer nuclear power plant than APR1400, we investigated advanced design features of ALWR being constructed in Korea and being developed/constructed in foreign countries. We applied the advanced design features and lessons learned from Fukushima accident to develop APR+ standard design suitable for both domestic construction and overseas construction business. One economic assessments have performed during safety design improvement phase(2013.1 ~ 2015.12) of APR+. The result of the economic analysis for APR+ safety inhancement design showed that APR+ N-th plant is about 39.2% more economical than coal-fired 1,000MW power plant. Also APR+ plant is more cost advantage over foreign advanced nation ALWRs.

Reliability improvement methods of AF track circuits for the train control system (열차내 연산시스템용 AF궤도회로 신뢰성향상 방안 연구)

  • The AF track circuit that detecting train position and transmitting various train control data for DTG to the train on-board is composed of single operation system. If a failure occurs on this system, the driver should be operate the train by manually until the system is restored, because the system cannot control switch machines and signals by automatically. In this process the human error affects to the train delay, collision, derailment and critical safety accident. Therefore, this document has analyzed the effects that each failure mode influences on system and train, and quantified the failure valuation point and class. Basis on this quantified analysis result, MTBF increased and MTTR decreased and failure number also decreased by adopting the independent installation of power supply, the replacement of defected capacitors, the installation of resister cooling system and the improvement of maintenance methods. And the failure factors of AF track circuits were decreased by conducting the preventive maintenance which is a quantitative way of maintenance system by experience.

Intelligent Controller for Optimal Coagulant Dosage Rate in Water Treatment Process (정수장 약품 최적 주입률 결정을 위한 지능형 제어기 개발)

  • Chemicals are injected in order to remove a variety of organic substances contained in the water purification plant influent. It can be determined with measuring sedimentation turbidity 4~7 hours later, whether the chemical dosage rate is proper or not, which make the real-time feedback control impossible. In addition, manual operation in accordance with the Jar-Test carried out in the laboratory and the operator's experience may cause the experimental and human error by the changes of organic characteristics and water quality. Especially at night ad weekend, the rate have been determined only by the operator judgment owing to environment engineer's absence. Therefore, the decision of optimal chemical dosage rate using proposed intelligent control algorithm is expected to result in real-time injection and cost reduction.
